Re-gripping with an air compressor
Kenny B replied to Jiro's topic in Club Making/Repair & DIY Projects
I've used both torch and heat gun; the heat gun takes a lot longer but better for clubs. -
If I look out the window, it is a nice sunny day... no wind whatsoever. If I walk outside, it's freezing! I had to scrape my windshield this morning. The snow we have left is slowly melting but it's only going to be 38* today. The ground is still frozen and the melting snow had created ponds in the middle of our fairways. No golf for awhile yet!

Re-gripping with an air compressor

I know you can get cheap ones at Harbor Freight, but years ago when I bought supplies at Golfworks I also bought their heat gun, and I have had no problems with it. It seems to be a quality unit. -
Oh yes! Not just club championships; any tournament or gangsome competition when the stakes are higher than normal. What's really funny is that for most people, the more time they take over a routine shot, the worse they play. Our golfers play our course nearly every day, but then in the Friday Men's gangsome, which is quite large, they grind it out to a poor score. What's hilarious is that the Women's group requested to go off before the Men's gangsome because they don't like slow play!!!

Re-gripping with an air compressor

I've had a large one for many years, so going with air was a no-brainer. You need one with a tank. The one that MattF posted would be just fine. I put my Pure grips on with anything less than 80 psi. Just short bursts of air. -
First day at home after the Phoenix trip, so I rolled by the club. Although it has been in the 40's the last several days, there is still a little snow here and there on the course with plenty of puddles or lakes in the middle of fairways. The ground is still frozen and no where for the water to go. Suppose to be in the 50's later in the week, so I'm hoping that the course is open by the weekend.

I practiced not getting upset when I have 5 double bogeys in a row. I still need more practice.

94* here in Phoenix today! Take that Florida!!! Headed home in the morning, but today at home it was 50* and the snow is about gone, so I might get to play next week.
-
30* at home with a Winter Storm Warning in effect; forecast is up to 0.5 inches of ice and 3-5 inches of snow tomorrow. That's OK, here in Phoenix tomorrow the forecast is 75* and sunny, and 85* on Thu and Fri. Headed home on Saturday. That will be a shocker!!

THE ONE AND ONLY KIRKLAND SIGNATURE BALL THREAD

Not a problem. If Costco brings them back, I will be getting more even if they cost more than $15 a dozen. -
THE ONE AND ONLY KIRKLAND SIGNATURE BALL THREAD

I played with one ball today for all 18 holes, and it still looks good. Performance was great; it beat out my Snell MTB that I've been playing since I got to Phoenix last weekend. I can send you a sleeve. Just contact me with info. -
At an Irish pub in AZ drinking Huss the Hustler NITRO milk stout with a Reuben Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

I'm sure glad I am in Phoenix for the next week!! I heard that the latest snow storm at home caused all kinds of havoc.
-
We got another 3-5 inches of snow today, or so I've been told. 75* and sunny in nice, warm Phoenix. Glad I left on Sunday or I would be shoveling the driveway again!!

From the MGS App click on the thread. Just to the left of the Reply box is a + and if you click on that, you can take a picture or select a picture from your phone to post. At least that's the way on my iPhone.

Just like last year!!

Package arrived!! New Criquet shirts to wear next week in Phoenix! If they were on that truck, they didn't even get dirty.

With Costco Signature brand on the line, if not the same ball, it should have very similar specs. -
I still get requests to join Barry Simpter on LinkedIn. Got one last week. Barry was at SCOR when I bought my wedges and then went to BHG. I don't respond because I don't do social media.

A nice stout, very dark with a darker colored head; hint of chocolate. Flavor is pretty good. It's made in Spokane WA which is about 2 hours from where I live and my wife's hometown.

Found a store that sells both BT and Four Roses! Guess I will be trying some when I get back from AZ.
