  1. I have a Cobra SS350 driver. It was a good club back in the day. Wanna buy it?
  2. Okay, it hasn't snowed in 4 days.. That's the good news. Today it's 3*, feels like -4*. Oh yeah, freezing fog; visibility less than 1/4 mile.
  3. I am not up on my southern, redneck slang... Does a pack of fleas have more fun on a coon hound that on any other dog? I'm just trying to understand your level of fun.
  4. The good news is that you don't have a drought anymore!
  5. In 408 hours I will be in Phoenix! I think I need to put this weather shiatt into perspective. It really is no different than it was in Idaho in 1952. He is a picture from 1952... Here is picture from the county just north of where I live... Of course it always snows more in Idaho than it does here.
  6. See my reply yesterday... times 2. Weather near my golf course for the next 10 days...
  7. IMO, California is a nice place to visit and play golf, but I would never live there. I think your idea of a forum topic is great. However, I would expect most everyone to say that their location is the best, and for them it probably is. Everyone has different criteria. Before I retired, I traveled a lot of the country, and while I was there I would ask myself; Could I live here? I did not find very many places that met my criteria. I still like the Pacific Northwest, even though it is cold and snowy right now!!
  8. It's been a little more frozen this year than normal, but it's mostly rain. I lived there my first 21 years, and I was happy to leave! Many golf courses get pretty soggy since they don't drain that well. It's pretty! Nice and green; but there is a reason!!
  9. Depends on where in Oregon. West of the Cascades it rains for 4 months of the year; east of the Cascades is drier. I like Bend/Redmond, similar to my area but higher elevation.
  10. That's true, but not all "stuff" can be ordered without a membership.
  11. There are some items online that are member only purchases.
  12. When I traveled, mostly to Russia from 1994-2004, I was gone a minimum of 2 weeks; made 30+ trips. Now, my wife and I travel a few long weekends a year plus a 2 week trip each winter to a warm place for golf. We also spend a week in late April or early May golfing in the Northwest. To much trouble for pets; we have to negotiate with neighbors about the cats for the trip to Phoenix in 3 weeks.
  13. At our age... never trust a fart!
  14. I was waiting for someone to make a comment. I didn't want to be the first!!
  15. Now that's a face of a starter! Keep them in line Foz.
  16. If you were younger, you could remember what that adjustment was the next time you play!
  17. The guys that make up my usual foursome are all older than me by about 4-5 years, but I am not the longest hitter in the group. We are all about the same handicap which makes the round fun. One of the guys (the longest hitter) bought new Cobra driver and fairway woods a little over a year ago. In an attempt to keep up, one of the other guys bought the same driver last spring. After using it for a couple of months, he went back to his TaylorMade R7. He hit the Cobra a few yards further, but was more inconsistent with it. He would keep bringing out the Cobra every once in awhile, and I would love to see it in his bag!!!
  18. I am sure these were indoor cats, but I do not let cats in the house. I guess after several years they have adapted. It's ironic, my wife is the cat person and has had cats in the house, but she is allergic to them! I'm a dog guy, but I traveled so much for most of my life that it didn't make sense to have a dog. We have to get someone to feed the cats when we go on a trip for more than a weekend.
  19. I don't get along with it either; each year it seems worse. Old age! I drove home late this afternoon and my wife had her Mercedes stuck in the snow between the street and our driveway, courtesy of the snowplow that made one pass down the middle of the street. I shoveled the driveway one more time today; pushed her car back into the street; shoveled the wall of snow before she could pull her car into the garage. My truck had no problem.
  20. Good luck! I'm retired, my wife is still working. Owns her own business, so until she sells it, we aren't going anywhere. Well, except to Phoenix in 3 weeks for a golf trip!!
