I started playing golf around age 14, but did not get serious about the game until after college. At that point I was about a 10 handicap, but wanted desperately to improve. I joined a local golf club and spent the next several years pounding balls and learning the things I needed to know to get better. Eventually, I reached my goal of being a scratch golfer and have been fortunate to maintain a 0 to 3 handicap throughout my adult life. For the past ten years, I have been a member of the Golf Digest course rating panel, which has afforded me the opportunity to play a lot of really good golf courses.
I am currently retired and reside in a suburb of Chattanooga, TN.
