  1. Going by "what I was told" level of research here. Unofficially, they have a ton of stuff. Strong online store and eBay presence too.
  2. So in my quest to make better contact, I seem to make better contact if I stand taller in my stance. However this brings the heel of the club up and while I feel compression, ball flight is very hooky. I am a classically untrained OTT swinger. Issues with rotation. bla bla bla. Standing taller makes me turn better, or so it seems. Looking at the club though, when I stand taller, I am not hitting the middle of the burners, more like the front 1/3. mat marks toward the toe. I am thinking that maybe I need the Irons bent up a bit. Does this make sense. I remember that up or down promotes left or right, but I don't remember which. It also seems to be more of an issue with the burners than the MX200s but I am sure that is only because I don't own those yet...
  3. I thought that it would be nice to have a place to post the links to good, inexpensive courses in your area. Right now, you may be the only person posting from your city, but as the boards grow in membership, others may appreciate this data. I'll start. The Sacramento area is actually a great place to play on a budget. The majority of courses are around $40 to ride and sometimes under $30 to walk. A few can get dry during the hot summers, but most are nice nearly year round. Here are two close to me. As you move out of Sacramento, there are even more in the outlying areas: Haggin Oaks GC http://www.hagginoaks.com/ Two 18 hole courses, although one is mainly played as nine holes. Rates are average, but the course is well maintained and the pro shop is the largest on course shop west of the Mississippi (so I was told). Ancil Hoffman GC http://www.golfancilhoffman.com/ Feels like playing in a tree-lined zoo somedays. Some of the tight fairways can be a beatdown, but the layout and area are beautiful. $14 unlimited holes walking in the summer afternoons. Many more, of course, but these are the ones I play the most.
  4. As these age and patina, will they get rougher and more spinny like the raw wedges?
  5. I had the same hesitation with CUPDBLZ
  6. Hands clapping is always one of my favorites.
  7. This is a very cool free resource. Some of the designs definitely pre-date me. To have something like this, that took obviously quite a bit of work, all for free is amazing. Thanks MGS and Lumpy...
  8. And yet there are still no pictures...
  9. Your change in index has made my morning! How did you do it?
  10. I hope you finished them both as punishment.
  11. My brother lost a banana is his bag for a spell last summer. Found it the bad squishy was about a month later... I put all snacks in a ziplock after that.
  12. Don't take from my post that my BS gets past the goalie here at home either. She would be all for it if I could flip it for $$$ though.
  13. Good luck! I just ordered a team bag from the coach at my college. Can't wait to rock it. Would be nice if it was from being a player at the college, rather than faculty. Looking at where they play this season, it is amazing. Fantastic public and private venues. Some way out of the typical college student greens fee budget.
  14. Are you playing golf for the college?
  15. That must be a rough one sometimes. Hopefully your job will get more and more positive as the economy gets better.
  16. Excellent work. Are those notches in the bottom in the first photo? The metal work looks exceptional in the last photo.
  17. If by dialysis you mean finding a tree then I concur.
  18. Actually you can buy two beers and designate one drink and the other food. If you are still hungry, more food.
  19. Our usual muni (Haggin Oaks) had a snack bar out in the 9 hole courses that had refrigerated snickers. That was an amazing thing on a hot summer afternoon. They closed the shack to have a mobile cart. No cold snickers on the cart...
  20. I think that his limited numbering system may boost the per unit price up though. Perceived scarcity would drive the impulse purchase. OTW it may be gone! Look at the 1st of 500 putters. Not individually numbered 1 to 500, but just batch labeled. The initial prices for the 1/500 California putters was above double retail for the normal version. Maybe there will be normal case and a case with circle T door pulls. Excellent point. I can't believe that I missed this key feature/benefit of the case. "Buy Honey, I HAVE to buy this putter. The case is not full yet."
  21. Watch eBay for these. They will be big bank I bet. At least it is not diamond plate.
