GolfSpy Dave reacted to GolfSpy SAM in 2023 MGS Forum Test: L.A.B. Putters
I was a tester last year, and it was a very, very similar experience. Once you get the ball into the proper position (I play mine a full ball forward of center, with the club lined up directly in the center of my stance - slight gap between front edge and ball), it's just about rocking the shoulders and letting the club work. It's ... hard to believe at first, and so there's usually a bit of a "I'm fighting this" thing that can happen, but if you can trust that the club will (really) do what it promises, suddenly it's a real weapon.
Very excited to see who this thing helps this year - it for sure helped me last year (and continues to, every round).

seems like there's a minor learning curve but once you figure out how to swing the putter you can just sit back and wait to hear for that beautiful sound we all love when the ball hits the bottom of the cup...
to quote @GolfSpy Dave:
The MEZZ.1 MAX was a whole different story. The first round out, I dropped putts from everywhere. Seriously, everywhere. The longest was more than 30 feet. It was stunning. I can’t recall another time when I have had so many “Holy s**t!” moments with a new putter. The MEZZ.1 MAX just dropped bomb after bomb. It was point and shoot. I am sure I had a personal best feet-of-putts-made statistic that round. Had my iron play shown up at all, I would have easily had a personal low round while rolling an unfamiliar putter.
