i use this.Lead weight rolls are so over priced. And I believe a marketing golf scam in the industry. Can get a whole box of these for $10.Can mold these / bend and melt down.My clubs feel so solid now.Putting weight in the hosel made them right proof.Next i will mold a few to fit down graphite shafts.

SURVEY: How has MyGolfSpy influenced your game?
Lonnie96 replied to GolfSpy Barbajo's topic in (The 19th Hole)
I'm going to be an elite custom club maker in our area.Asked some great questions since I'm slightly new on here. All my questions were answered and learned some valuable info.Looking to getting my new business rolling in a month. And hopefully my work will be noticed and I might go nation wide or maybe global -

Purchased a set of ping eye 2 - orange dot- 2 thru sand wedge.Put in light gram regular flex graphite shafts.Going to apply 24 grams of lead weight bars to the back cavity. With the light gram shaft I'm hoping the lead I apply to the cavity makes it head heavy.Plus this should lower the ball flight since I applied to lower cavity Will this make it head heavy?

I personally love setting the backswing like a baseball bat (super vertical).Than I drop it horizontal like a ball player hitting in the strike zone.Looks like a loop, but works well for me

When it comes to our amateur game. Our swings and feels can be so odd.Honestly most of is can never match or compare ourselves to pro swings. We just adapt and do whatever we can to get the ball in the hole. Ugly or not We play a completely different game

This thread turned out very productive.Great responses everyone

nice..I guess I'm different.Love to let that right elbow get high.Feels so so powerful. When I see elbows in front I see an over connected short hitter of the ball.Play with plenty of them.To them this is the term connection. For me their definition and feel means short
-
opposite for me.. I have to feel like I'm hitting a low down and out pitch thru the ball. But when I do the result will be the prettiest push draw you have ever witnessed.Kinda like a Lee Trevino feel with body open and upper body low and over it.Wish I could show you how baseball it looks Results will be bam - boom - smile

I see many many similarities.Only difference is a lower path to the ball

Watching my Indians struggle tonight isn't fun.But watching batters on both sides and see so many similarities to golf. The steep backswing to a shallow approach into the strike.Pivot leading the show.Very similar info that I was taught a few years back and still do.Anyone study baseball to improve their golf swings?Even the YouTube baseball instructors have some excellent gems that may help us.Infact I learned more from some of their videos than I do most golf instructional videos Thoughts?

Who is the worse type of golfer?
Lonnie96 replied to Liberty Ball Markers's topic in (The 19th Hole)
I played with 2 groups of hard core instruction online forum gurus last weekend. They were great guys , but terrible playing partners. Videoing every swing and analyzing each other every shot. One guy even did a full course blog. Very annoying , and threw me off . It's a golf swing , not rocket science. And on top of it they couldn't break an egg and threw my game completely off. -

Met a bunch of online golfers the other weekend. They were big in online instruction.Worst thing I'm guilty of is listening to them for swing advice.Just seems like online golf junkies are really a head case when it comes to instruction.Plus the one chap says he hits 290 in posts.I scanned his drive with gps and he averaged 245 ish all day. Next time just nod and smile -
where I'm at we have unplayable courses for 7 months. Season is very short. But I kinda like it really. I can't imagine playing golf year long.Would get so burned out with it

Next week is officially the last week our club is open.Had a great season and hate to see it go.My biggest regret is waiting all season to custom my own clubs. Now I have to wait the whole winter to see what their long term results will be.This is one regret. The other is kicking myself for passing up golf for a month where I just got burned out. What is some of your regrets ?

Grinding away.....
Lonnie96 replied to jofi's topic in Lessons, Drills, Mental Game, and Fitness Tips
I went thru a tough phase of almost quitting the game. But found a way to still enjoy this game by working on my swing. My breakthru was shallowing the club properly.Once I did that the ball flew right to left and long everytime.I can swing 70% of my power shallow and still hit longer than when i was steep.Very very simple to do and repeatable -
Took them out for a round and it was fabulous. All tiny draws and no wild rights or lefts. For some reason, all the weight in the shaft allowed the toe to speed up and heel slow down. It's almost like they all have a tiny draw built in now.I don't understand how this happened. The draw was universal with every club I reworked in my bag Next I'm going to use lead weights on the outside of the shaft and clubhead on my driver.I have special metal adhesive to hold it in place. I'm thinking i going to place all the weight on the sole Again, brand new to this. But the massive weight increase gave me a tiny draw. And a feeling of the club starting down slower. Maybe beginners luck ? Or just where the weight settled down in the shaft.? I switched to play sand almost the whole shaft with 2) 14 gram lead weights bottom and 3) top

Thanks stu. The ones I altered were D2 now F8. Really fun working on your own clubs.

I love the heavy feel. And am hitting the ball the best I have ever hit a long iron. In my bench I received there is also metal shaft plugs that the previous owner used.Im also sure it is masking a swing flaw. I'm just amazed how I can swing so freely and it never over hooks. Distance loss is very minimal , but accuracy is just uncanny so far Every golf club just feels like a feather to me. This new feel is so addictive. Thanks for the response. Rookie at all of this
