I play at Durand Eastman a lot during the week. I play in a league out of there and I work at the course part time in the summer as a starter so I get to play for free. Originally a Donald Ross course later redesigned by Robert Trent Jones, it's a short course, just over 6000yds. but what it lacks in length it makes up for in challenges. On the weekends I try to get out and play other courses, Eagle Vale, Shadow Lake, Webster G.C.. There are so many good courses in the area.
gkatshoots69, I have some cousins that grew up in Fairport and played lacrosse for Fisher.
GolfSpy WD, I did go to the PGA last year. I actually worked it for Visit Rochester. They gave us a hell of a deal. It only cost me $20 and four hours of my time. In return, we got a Cutter Buck PGA golf shirt, full credentials for the week, and best of all $2 beers at the volunteers tent!
