  1. Strengthening those forearm muscles will in turn strengthen your tendons and allow them to handle the stress being put on them and coupled with stretching to help maintain tissue flexibility/ integrity.

eccentrics in this case means the lowering phase (where you palm moves from neutral or parralel to the floor and moves toward the bottom of your forearm) which allows the muscle to work without stressing the tendon as heavily.

All of that is well and good but golfers elbow or medial epicondylitis, when it hurts inside of the forearm/ elbow, can be caused easily by hitting a lot fat shots or where you flick the right hand at the ball, or just overuse. If you have weak or tight forearm musculature all that stress goes to the tendon.

Tennis elbow or lateral epicondylitis, when it hurts on the outside of your elbow/forearm, can be caused by flicking the left wrist, steep angle and high velocity, or just from overuse. Same thing as medial epicondylitis, weak and/or tight musculature Leads to a lot of stress on tendons.

Sorry to thread jack but couldn't resist dropping some more info on this.

I know some people think any form of weight training will bulk them up, but that is not entirely true, and depending on your age and actual training regime that may not even occur. Hope this shows how strenth training and flexibility can work in your golf favor.

  2. I play music when I'm out alone as in the may be 4 people on the course. And I don't care if people in the group play it, keep it low though.

I find the people that yell after a drive, putt, par, chip in, or bad shot, far Far FAR more annoying.

A vast majority of people golfing at muni's here don't really care about the rules much any way.

  3. When I first started I used the interlock grip for one year and then switched to overlap which felt way more secure, stable and comfortable to me.

My miss is a push from not releasing the club head and I use the ten finger grip to groove that feeling down before I head out, but I hit too many fat shots with that grip to use it.

I remember reading some where that if you have smaller fingers the interlock is more comfortable.

Hope it works out for you though!

Must make a change to this. I have a very passive right hand and noticed that I have been struggling with a left wrist that cups at the top. Happened with the overlap grip, but when I switch to interlock it goes away. Went to the range today and now it feels better than the overlap. The search continues I guess. Good to see you were hitting the ball well!@

  5. Well at the start of this month, after a couple of 79's and an 81, my HCP moved to 7.9. Butttttt, getting lazy and messing with equipment. It ballooned to a 11.7- really playing worse than that recently. Signed up for the club championship at the start of July and was put in the championship tee division.

shot 100 saturday- 42 on the front nine, and 58 On the back!!!!!!!

Today 102, I shot a 59 on the front today and a 43 on the back. Ouch...

shanks left and right, too many shots ob.

  6. I'm sort of doubling up here because I posted the pics in the putter forum too but what the hell. My club Pro bought several sample putters from the Ping rep for a good price and sold them to us at $100 each which is a bargain. It's a Ping ZB S. It is performing better on the practise green than the course so far but that's only one round. Fingers are crossed it's the answer to my putting woes.

How's the insert feel in this thing. I love the shape of the head, but wonder what the weight is???

  7. Fwiw I can't get my mph5 1i out of the bag. The flihi isn't super different as far as design goes. Mine is here to stay.

I was looking at picking one up, but $130 MP H5 vs $10  Fli hi. Pretty much the same design like you said nice hollow cavity.

How do you like the C taper in yours? Im actually looking of getting them in my other hybrid.

  8. Played Chehalem Glenn- one of the harder courses in my area, a lot of elevation change and interesting lies.
Played from the blacks, while my group played from the blues- had a game going on the round. Longest drive, Closes to the Pin on Par 3's.

Shot 9 over on the front.

Shot 7 over on the back. Was 1 over then went on to the 15th tee and went, bogey, bogey, Double bogey, double bogey.

Couldn't read putts. Off the tee hit 9 fairways hit- which was bananas!!!!! Closest to the Pin on all Par 3's but couldn't putt..............

Longest drive on #2- 343yds slight tail wind ;)

Best part was hitting off #18, pretty straight forward hole, but hit a push draw that couldn't escape the trees near the green, hit again, snap hook, hit again; middle of the fairway, nailed my approach, 2-putted....
