  1. Looking forward to the reviews. I have just gone through a fitting 3 weeks ago and placed an order for T200s from 6-PW and a 5 hybrid. The irons are going to more or less match the lofts/shafts of my Miuras so PW will be 45deg instead of 43deg. Hope that once Singapore comes out of the lockdown, the clubs will be here for me.

    Ping G400

I finally got the G400 9 Deg after much waiting. Really wanted the Tour Stiff shaft but surprisingly the CB Alta Tour Stiff(Japan spec) was much tighter in dispersion than any other shafts. Will test with an old Diamana X and maybe a Fubuki to see if anyone can kick the stock shaft out. Overall, it's way more forgiving than my JGR or old BioCell.

    Ping G400

I just tested the G400 driver and it's tremendously forgiving. I don't recall any driver in my hands that did not have a sliced shot. Not the M1, M2 (2017) or even the 917s. The Tour 65 stiff shaft was a great fit although I do prefer the Kurokage XT60 stiff(their fitting carts was not updated with the Silver Dual Core yet). However the upcharge for the XT is mind boggling (I can buy it brand new at that price). Factoring in exchange rates, taxes and local dealer markup in Singapore, this driver costs USD 536 based on the Alta shaft and USD572 for a Tour 65 shaft. I really love the look, the great sound and especially the performance but it's too close to 6 big ones for my liking. Hard to justify spending that amount for a driver at this moment.

  12. Darren from Singapore Bridgestone JGR 4H 21 deg with Tour AD J16-11W Reg stock JDM Not custom fitted. Currently the shaft is too soft for me as my SS for driver has increased to about 95mph. Due to the soft shaft, I have a hard time controlling the club. Dispersion is all over the place and if I hit it well, the ball flight seems too high. Probably due to the high spin rate.
  13. I like the placement of the FJs vs the rest of the brands who either have it on the tongue or the side. Reason being, you can't feel the knob. My son bought a pair of Adidas Tour 360 Boost BOA and I tried it on but the tongue felt too restrictive. BOA also makes getting the shoe in and out really easy. I doubt I'll ever buy a shoe without BOA anymore. Sent from my Nexus 6P using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  14. Darren Tan from Singapore 20 Miura PP 9003 I would think that the JPX 900 Forged will be the best for me as they are close to the Miuras. I would also think that they are more forgiving due to the multi thickness face.

    Ping G400

I'm looking forward to testing in around Sep/Oct in Singapore.I hit the G with the Kurokage XT shafts pretty well and so if the new G400 maintains or even improves then my next driver might be a Ping.
  16. If you can get your hands on a Bridgestone JGR hybrid used and below $100, I would say that it's a good buy. I'm playing one right now and simply love it due to the ease of getting it into the air.

  18. 1) Darren Tan from Singapore 2) 20 3) Bridgestone JGR 10.5 + Stock Tour AD shaft Reg 4) 95mph, 230 yards 5) Phil Mickelson I hope to test this shaft in stiff as my Swing Speed has gone up recently due to lessons and now my current shaft is too soft.
  19. I would like to test this because I've been unable to find a satisfactory GPS/Tracking System to complement my rangefinder. Darren from Singapore HCP: 19 Never use a GPS watch as I feel they are lacking in some areas. Was tempted by a few but not entirely convinced
  20. Handicap: 18.3 State/Province: Singapore Swing Speed & Average Carry Distance: SS is about 92, Average Carry is about 190m Your Preference (F7 or F7+): F7
  21. Darren Tan Singapore Currently sharing a V3 non slope with my son. Would love to test and then if this is a big improvement, I'll pass the V4 to him and I will use the older V3 since he's playing in quite a number of junior tournaments.
  22. I'm curious to see how this stacks up to both the Ketsch (version 2) and the RJ 506 putter in my bag. Yes I alternate between the 2 mostly because the Ketsch is really stable for me stroke and results wise while the RJ looks and feels awesome. I play about 30 rounds a year and my handicap is 19. If I'm not selected I'll still try to get hold of 1 if the reviews are good.
