  1. I have always wanted to try the Modus shafts. Never found a good set to give them a go, but intrigued.
  2. Head to a big box retailer if you can; hit a bunch of demos and previously owned. You might not find exactly what you love, but you'll find a lot that you don't like and can weed them out early.
  3. KBS Tour. I've tried others; always keep coming back to this. it either fits my swing, or I've fit my swing to it. Either way, don't fix it if it ain't broke.
  4. The Masters!! Let's GO!! Cut: +4 Low Am: Christo Lamprecht
  5. I've played a few courses where they would be MORE than welcome...
  6. Are we doing the human sacrifice to celebrate a birdie, or to conjure one up from the Gods? Dress codes are one thing, but there have to be RULES, man!!
  7. Here come the "Most Wanted Bluetooth Speaker" commenters. I don't really want to see anyone topless, but collared shirts and pleats need to go the way of the tweed jacket, necktie and the Dodo. Show up, keep up and be fun to paly golf with for 4+ hours. Those should be the criteria.
  8. Like a dog headed to the vet, golf clubs “know” when there’s a potential replacement lurking…
  9. Some of my buddies and I play a version of this called “Greed”. You may replay ANY shot, but if you hit a second, you must play that ball. Amazing how greed can come and bite you. We usually play skins and b/c of the second shot option, only par or better wins a skin. Fun variation to knock it around with friends.
  10. I’ll be out of town but will probably record this and maybe watch later. Hopefully they won’t put a muzzle on Max. His sarcasm might be the only thing I’ll look forward to in this one. Hopefully Lexi can make a putt or two.
  11. Don’t have the replacements yet, but this is from the website: it simply says “rubber”. “Features: Waterproof Bootie Construction (2 Year Guarantee) Reflective Rope Laces & Reflective Accents Wide Toe Box (fits regular to wide feet up to E/EE) Neoprene Waterproof Tongue New Antimicrobial Insert for Superior Comfort and Breathability Flexible, Ergonomic Rubber Outsole Alternative Leather Upper (Highly Scratch-Resistant and Durable) Zero Drop Heel to Toe”
  12. Been on a bit of a bender. PXG had a sale, so grabbed a GEN 2 3W. (Did I mention I LOVE how PXG boxes and sends their clubs??) Been wanting to try TRUE Links golf shoes; again a sale, so again I pull the trigger. Word of advice: READ all the literature. Received these very quickly, tried them on (ordered the size I always wear) and they were too small. Huh… Start figuring out a return/exchange process and notice a SMALL link to “What Size Should I Order?” Hmmm… Anyway, they note that the shoes run small, and you should order a 1/2 to a full size larger than normal. So, after a few emails back and forth with their EXCELLENT customer service, a new pair is on the way in a different (and hopefully correct) size. Last but not least, I have an Ogio bag that I like, but the legs have proven to be junk. A sale called my name yet again, and I am now the proud owner of a Ping Hoofer, finally. Think I’m probably done for the foreseeable future, but if that “SALE” bell rings, who knows??
  13. Congrats all! Lots of work ahead, but it’s a labor of love right?!? Enjoy the grind!!
  14. I just saw an MGS email for a deal on Maxfli of your choice: $120 for 4 dz, I believe.
  15. I’ll be down that way in two weeks; have an association event at Aliso Viejo on Mon 2/26. Nice course, but pretty sure it’s private (that’s why we can have it on a Monday). I have a work friend who lives close whose wife works at Pelican Hill. What a place THAT is! If you ever get the chance, go play even though it’ll light your check book (anyone even have a check book anymore?? ) on fire.
  16. Original Cleveland RTX 50, 54, 58. Ended up with one (50*) and liked it so much I bought the mates. Replaced a set of Ping Glides that I tested for MGS and LOVED, but just was not hitting well at that time. They could sneak back into the bag some day.
  17. I’ve been traveling with a Club Glove for over 20 years. It’s been rebuilt a couple times (CG won’t replace zippers anymore, so had to find a shop for that) but I also have never had an issue. Added a Stiff Arm once that became a thing, and all the advice everyone has given is good advice. I also have an Apple Tag in my golf bag now. Safe travels; play well & have fun!!
  18. Date 02/06/2024 Course Name Saluda Valley Country Club Gross Score 93 Course Handicap 10 Gross Strokes over/under par 21 Net Score to Par 11 Net Score 83 Net Birdies or better 2 Longest Drive 255 SIM Round? Sunny but windy. Was playing pretty well on the front, but the wheels got wobbly around the turn. Oh well. Not going to complain about February golf.
  19. Well, it would be difficult for her to putt worse. Maybe that’s the marketing strategy: we should see that logo roll past the hole quite often this season.
  20. Date 02/05/2024 Course Name Debary Country Club Gross Score 96 Course Handicap 13 Gross Strokes over/under par 24 Net Score to Par 11 Net Score 83 Net Birdies or better 2 Longest Drive 267 SIM Round? Locking these pretty quickly eh? Afraid someone’s going to backdate a score and win the Lear Jet?
  21. TOTAL dream trip to visit your homeland. Golf, wildlife, the oceans; it’s been on my bucket list for a LONG time. Maybe in the next ten years I can get it done before I’m too old to play, hike, safari & enjoy all that’s there. Thanks for sharing!
  22. Thank you all for your time & dedication to the forum. Appreciated by all of us who use & enjoy it.
  23. Read an unconfirmed report out of the UK this morning that said Tyrell Hatton is joining Rahm’s team this week. We shall see.
