  1. Good point. Probably plays his music too loud during casual rounds as well.
  2. My absolute favorite out there is Paiute. Three courses, a bit out of town to the NW, but BEAUTIFUL! Staff always seems great; it’s like you’re on vacation when you’re there. (My opinion…) Just off the strip, I used to play Las Vegas National quite often. Really old school layout with bungalow houses along the holes. No idea if it’s in good or bad shape; used to be a bit shaggy sometimes, but a fun layout nonetheless. I think they used to play the LV Open there? If you want to play higher end, I like Rio Secco in Henderson. You might even see Butch Harmon and/or a tour pro roaming around. Have fun!!
  3. Clear and 20 over here (think we’re close to each other?). Clubs just back from a loft/lie check and regrip. I don’t have a spot at the house to do that currently. Non-golf vacation next week and then a work trip after. Looks like “No Golf January”. Heavy sigh…
  4. …and THIS is why I’ve moved MI to MN to SC. Next time may be to Belize!
  5. Exactly. If it’s got tees and greens (and sometimes barely tees) I’m good with it. Let’s play!
  6. Found MGS because @GolfSpy Barbajo told me to check it out! I’ve tested balls, training aids, putters and clubs. At one point everything in my bag, including the bag had come from MGS testing. I actually don’t throw my name in the hat to test any longer because with my work & travel schedule I don’t have the time to do the testing properly. It’s a LOT of work. Kudos to all who take on the challenge and take it seriously. Player testing is what this site is built upon.
  7. That’s wild, isn’t it? Saban, Belichek, and Pete Carroll all gone in two days. Couldn’t have seen that coming like that.
  8. That would have been a war. wasn’t ready for Georgia in ‘21, but it’s a different Michigan team this year.
  9. Great season for Michigan! National Champions! Go Blue!!
  10. …and I agree it is most likely spectacular, but to “debut” at #68 seems a little far fetched. Just my opinion, and I wasn’t consulted for the Top 100 list, so
  11. Not true. I went to Scotland and played one on this list (and some that I think should be) with a few guys on this forum and I didn't miss a mortgage payment to do so. I couldn’t go every year, but once in four or five is doable. If you love to play golf, you should go!
  12. I know exactly what it is, recreated digitally as close as possible from the original. That said, it’s automatically #68 in the Top 100? How? Only a handful of people have even seen the course, let alone played the course. #Marketing.
  13. North Berwick (30), and Crystal Downs (34). Not sure I agree with that list (who knows or has played The Lido?!?) but it is what it is. Any course is great course if I am able to be on that course & play!
  14. At this point, I’m only watching to see “special” courses (I’ll watch Maui b/c the course is SO visually stunning) the Majors (courses count there, too), or to see players I especially like. TBH, a lot of the players with any personality have moved to LIV. I like the format (shotgun = faster) and the team element. The majority of PGAT events are robots in khakis to my eye. LPGA is simply too slow for me. (I don’t watch the WNBA or much women’s soccer either; boring…) I know it’s not part of the question, but I do like Men’s and Women’s college golf, mostly for (again) the team element and the competition. Those matches are NEVER over; anyone can make a Quad at any moment.
  15. Ha Ha. Yes, he does seem content at the moment. Interesting times…
  16. Maybe if the PGAT hadn’t literally taken Norman’s idea for a World Tour, stolen it and created the WGC, he wouldn’t have been so upset.
  17. I do think Rahm wants to bring golf to places that aren’t the USA and don’t have golf in the forefront. I’m not sure LIV will or won’t help him do that, but he’s certainly got enough money now to promote the game however and wherever he wishes. We’ll see what he does. Maybe he’ll just mimic Tiger and buy a yacht named “Privacy”.
  18. Pat Perez is a perfect example of why LIV exists. Always a good PGAT player, won a few times, always kept his card. Seemed he was looking forward to getting out on the Champions Tour. Along comes LIV. If they payed Pat even $10 million, along with what he won in team money, he’s FAR surpassed what he’d ever win on the Champions Tour. If there’s an agreement, and he’s eligible, I’ll bet he’ll be out there and play. If not, he & his wife & his kids kids kids are set up. PGAT was ready to kick guys like Pat to the curb previously known as the DP World (European) Tour. Who wants to go to that limbo life?
  19. You should perhaps watch more. I think the players do care a lot. Players on Sunday who know they won’t win the individual title are GRINDING to help their teams win the team event. Lot more pressure than someone who’s going to finish DFL in a PGAT event out having a Sunday morning hit & giggle before catching a flight home. Those guys don’t care, and often they play like it.
  20. There isn’t a salary cap, so maybe one Capt (Brooks) is willing to spend more money than others (Bubba). Can’t say all the reasons make sense, but that sometimes is like a trade in another sport, eh? Now the question is who’s coming to join Rahm? He didn’t go through all this to have a terrible team.
  21. Since they all play every day, and don’t miss the nonexistent (so far) cut, just do it like fantasy football. Everyone has a team of individual players, and you accumulate points based on their performance. Maybe like a Stableford scoring system?
  22. They’re only “in power” b/c we allow them to be. Why do they get to be the sole arbiter of what’s in the best interest of the game? Because THEY say so? Uh-uh. That’s a “No” from me dawg…
  23. “I’m from the USGA and I’m here to help you…” I’d sooner believe what I read on line than what those people tell me.
