  1. Right?!? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think most top Tour Pros are in the +6 +7 range, no? "Plus Ten" #OMG [emoji849] Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  2. MI, OH & SC boys at Houston Oaks in Paris, KY on Sunday. Played Big Blue at UK Friday, Gibson Bay in Richmond and The Bull at Boone's Trace Sat, & finished at Houston Oaks. Fun weekend, dodged T-Storms & tornadoes, drank beer & played golf. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  3. Based on the MyGolfSpy testing, I recently purchased the lower priced Precision Pro Nexus. Similar to what you guys are testing, (obviously) with 400 yd range as well. So far, I'm extremely pleased. It does not have the scan mode, nor is it advertised as weather resistant. One major difference is the case. The "Pro" looks like it has a pretty decent case, minus the carabiner issue you've already discussed. The Nexus, on the other hand, has a soft case that is kind of ill fitting, with only a magnetic closure that I'm frankly a little skeptical of. However, at a $149 price point, it's a pretty decent unit.
  4. Environmental Justice Warriors. I'm sure they feel vindicated. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  5. Bought one of these several years ago. I believe it's tungsten. No idea what I paid for it. Has square on one end, V on the other. I used it a few times on my old Callaway X-14 irons. Works great to improve dents from stones, use, etc. I still keep it in my bag, just in case. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  6. OMG... 150 slope?!? Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  7. My boss is moving to Palm Desert (so... I'll have a hookup in Palm Desert!) and we got one last round in Friday! A Good Friday indeed. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  8. Probably my three favs in reverse order: Swing Click (tested on MGS) The Pill (GolfSpyX wears their hat, which I still WANT!) DST Compressor, which is simply the BEST (also tested on MGS)
  9. Watching Match Play; Kirkland vodka & Cran w/ a lil' OJ. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  10. Good friend of mine is a Costco Mgr. He's attending some meetings this week; I told him to ask when the new series of balls are due to arrive. LOL
  11. My last Jai Alai from Cigar City (Tampa). Picked some up while in Orlando last month. I've been savoring them. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  12. Slid back up to 13.8 in my latest revision. Short game has been a dumpster fire for about 3 mos, but I haven't played much. Starting to come around a little bit. Want to see if I can sneak under 11 again this Summer. As many have said, it's just a measuring tool. You're really always playing against yourself. More important to enjoy the camaraderie and being outdoors and alive!! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  13. Me either... Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  14. So, after a long delay for no good reason, I finally fooled around with these yesterday at the range and in a practice bunker at same. (Not much of a bunker, by the way.) They're kind of a cool toy to play with. Can't decide yet if I think they're a great bunker aid, but time will tell, right? Probably hard to see from the pictures, but back of the box shows the results from thin, good, and fat shots. I would say those are accurate. When you strike the shot properly, you get good backspin, and kind of the same "whirr" sound that a range ball with a mower cut makes when you send it on its way. Because of the legs, you can really see the spin. When you hit it thin, (of COURSE I did...) they will fly a long ways. Beware! I'll keep working with these, (you don't need a bunker, that's probably the coolest part) and let you know if my sand game gets any better as a result. It can't get any worse, unfortunately. 15. Right?!? I'm originally from Greenville (middle of the mitten) and lived in GR a long time. You drive far enough South that no one knows what a snow blower is, then you stop. [emoji23]I've forgotten; where are you in SC? We're West of G'ville, near Clemson. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  16. Also a "ball" thing. They all have to work together. Ever done a Bridgestone ball fitting? I recommend one for everybody!! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  17. 15 mi W of Greenville SC. 29 with about an inch+ of sleet/snow on the ground. Some flakes still coming down. 40 mi WNW, they got 6" last night. [emoji15] Supposed to be 67 on Friday. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  18. I think they just might, rabbit... Enjoy that fitting! Got mine fit at Bridgestone (Thanks, MGS!!! [emoji2]) and different shafts made significant differences in all facets. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  19. Fair point for sure. Just feel like a lot of guys have drivers with 459 adjustments, and continually try to dial in draw vs fade bias, and move their weights around, but never consider a new shaft. They just put that driver in a bin in the garage, buy another newer driver of the same vein, and start all over with the same process. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  20. Couldn't agree more. In my personal opinion, based on nothing more than personal experience, a lot of players would gain more by keeping the driver head they already own and having that head fitted to a new shaft. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  21. I've been really delinquent with regard to donating as well. (Just remedied that, BTW ) I really enjoy the site, the articles, the interaction and the knowledge that gets dropped on me every time I'm here. I've been lucky enough to be chosen to test a few things, which I have also enjoyed a great deal. (Easier to be chosen as a tester than to obtain K-Sig golf balls...) What really made me pull the trigger to donate, however, besides the recent email, was seeing Mr. Pomposity himself, Michael Breed lose his mind on social media after being called out regarding his dissatisfaction with the testing process of the K-Sig ball. Me thinks he doth protest too much. Smoke = Fire, and if MGS has ruffled people's feathers to THAT degree, you must be doing more than just something right. Keep it up! #PowerToThePlayer in 2017 and beyond!
  22. How's the Vegas TG? I'm a big fan of the franchise; the pics of that place look ridiculous. I was there in Jan, but it wasn't quite finished at that point. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  23. Popped the zipper on my Club Glove Burst Proof. (Guess it's really not, eh?) Been having trouble getting my new cart bag in it anyway. Buddy on my FL trip two weeks ago has a Caddy Daddy Constrictor II. It looked great, so I bought one. Packed it yesterday for a flight/trip. So far, LOVE IT! Bag went in easily; seems like a quality piece. I'll update as time goes by. Seems like a deal for $79! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  24. A couple that have been noted, both that I discovered by being a lucky tester here on MGS: The Swing Click - Really good, "inexpensive" swing tempo trainer that you literally can use ANYWHERE. The DST Compressor I'm having great luck with the 8-iron; it has drastically improved my ball striking. I'm very excited to keep working with it. I wonder how good I might become?
  25. Down to 12.8. The 77 I shot on Friday wasn't added in yet, so that'll go lower yet. Been a good Summer; I was 17.7 on Feb 1st! [emoji15] Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
