  1. I picked up a dozen yellow Titleist TruFeels. They aren't bad for fall golf, but I am really liking the yellow ball and will probably switch to yellow full time with the Snells in the spring. It is definitely easier to see and for some reason seems to look a little larger than a standard white ball when standing over it.
  2. I've used a green smiley face and green dot next to the number since I've been about 10 years old.
  3. So is the product just a sticker to put over high wear areas of a glove?
  4. The past few months I have been toying with the idea of adding a 64* wedge for my bag for situations that call for a flop shot and then being able to use a normal swing without having to play around with opening the face.
  5. You're going to have a tough time finding something with 14 dividers that is 4.5lbs and remotely decent quality. If you're willing to go up a pound the Ping Hoofer 14 is as good as it gets https://ping.com/en-us/shop/bags/carry-bags/hoofer-14
  6. Contact your local FirstTee https://firsttee.org/locations/ or a local high school team.
  7. makes sense but my dumbass will probably just keep throwing away a couple hundred dollars every time my putter loses the magic.
  8. No, they emailed me a shipping label and I sent it directly to them at no charge. I was also given the option of going through an authorized dealer and have them ship it back.
  9. What trash courses are you playing that people are so drunk or stoned that innocent golfers are at risk of serious injury?
  10. I'm not familiar with those specific clubs but you are probably better off getting a used hybrid set from a brand with a better reputation. As I commented in a similar post. Go back and look at MGS's most wanted super game improvement iron listings from several years ago then go online and find a used set at probably a better price than the new Rams.
  11. Go back and look at the MGS game improvement most wanted lists from 2 and 3 years ago, then look on ebay and other golf equipment sites for the top performers in the appropriate category for you.
  12. I have a sidebar question for this. Was Snell a big sponsor that did not re-up? It seemed that MGS used to constantly talk up Dean Snell now they barely mention the company.
  13. I have played midsize GP Tour Velvet grips for at least 20 years. I've been battling golfer's elbow all this season and switched them out for GP CP2 Pro to get more cushion. These grips are great! Very tacky and feels like I am not squeezing the club as tightly.
  14. Mats are very forgiving on fairway woods
  15. Update: As always, Ping's customer service is top notch. 7 days from me shipping the putter back to Ping it returned with a new insert installed.
  16. Ping Hoofer has been hands down the best bag in golf for at least 20 years and the newest version is fantastic. Perfect for walking, but works great on a cart too. If you don't walk much, go with the 14 way divider model. https://ping.com/en-us/shop/bags/carry-bags/hoofer https://ping.com/en-us/shop/bags/carry-bags/hoofer-14
  17. I picked up a sleeve of Titleist Tour Speeds yesterday before my round to try. The are the longest ball I have ever played! Probably about half a club longer than the Snell MTB-X on my irons and at least 10 yards longer on the driver. They are straight as an arrow, but have almost no feel or spin going into the greens. The extra distance is fun, but I don't think I will stick with Tour Speed with the short game downsides except for fall and spring golf when the greens are very slow.
  18. I just noticed during my round yesterday that the face insert on my Ping Sigma G Tyne putter is starting to pop out on one side (I've attached a photo). Right now it doesn't seem like a big deal and the center where the ball makes contact looks fine. Do you think this has any effect on performance? Is this something that I can fix myself by popping the insert off and re-gluing it? Or is there some magic that I need a professional to take care of it? If I am going to take out the face insert are there any after market inserts I should be looking at? I haven't found much online for after market inserts. Thanks!
  19. Sign up for how you swing. All of the manufacturers have the specs for their clubs on the website and older year catalogues are usually available online. https://www.cobragolf.com/media/wysiwyg/2013.pdf
  20. My old Hoofer was built like a brick shithouse! The retractable strap was a great idea but never really worked
  21. The post on the Left Dot Titleist got me thinking. How many secret menu balls do they various manufacturers have for tour players?
  22. I've been using the GolfLogix GPS and scoring app on my phone this season and it's been great. Also much cheaper to give you the hole overview benefits of a handheld.
  23. Generally speaking I found that there are 2 types of hybrids, smaller heads more like a driving iron and larger heads more like a fairway wood and they are each more successful when swung like their counterparts. It took me a long time to find hybrids that I could consistently hit well, most were snap hook or worm burners, but once I found my current gamers which I swing down on like irons they have been great and far easier than a 3 or 4 iron to hit into greens.
  24. Has anyone tried the Ballnamic (https://ballfitting.com/) online ball fitting tool? Before dropping $40 on it I was curious what your experience was with it and thoughts on the ball it matched you with.
