  1. Asking that question is going to get responses from 10 people with 11 or 12 different answers. I know I personally get along great with W/S and Adams lines, so-so with Tour Edge hybrids, and abysmal with Cobra offerings. Honestly, I'd say just look at what fits your eye, see if you can take a few swings with a couple and see if they fill the gaps you need. For example, you may hit the W/S D200 5h well, but if it doesn't gap properly, what's the point?
  2. I play whatever I can get a good deal on. Currently in my stock are W/S Duo's, Srixon Q-Stars and Z-Stars, and MaxFli SoftFli's. Once I deplenish my stock, I'll replenish it with one of the brighter colored, matte golf ball offerings (most likely the Volvik Vivid's or W/S Duo Optix).
  3. Thanks for this information. I would love to play it again soon (though my game is horrid atm) before/if it's closed to the public.
  4. I've honestly toyed with the idea of going 4h, 5h, 6h in my bag because I find them so much easier to hit than the respective irons that would fit into those gaps (particularly the 5h and 6h slots). So ... two thumbs up! Congrats on plugging that gap!
  5. Don't forget Lonnie Poole (NCSU). It's my favorite of the three main university courses. YMMV. It is certainly unique in its design compared to the others. I'm also a fan of Dormie Club (https://www.dormienetwork.com/dormieclub/). Just realized they've moved back to private status, which is a bummer.
  6. I use it, though the more infrequently I play, the worse a decision to put it into play it becomes (especially attempting to hit it off the deck). I have no other club that is as finicky as my woods (which I primarily play a 4W/7W combo).
  7. I've always enjoyed walking. I don't care for strapping my bag to my back and hoofing it around the course, but with a push cart I'd prefer to walk.
  8. One of my favorite courses is Lonnie Poole (NCSU) though my best score came at Finley (UNC). Golf in the Research Triangle is so much fun.
  9. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? Been about 6 or 7 years now. I'm around a 21 handicap though I haven't golfed much since my kids have gotten into the toddler phase of life, so the next time out I'll be happy to break 100. What do you love about golf? That one perfect feeling shot (a round). What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? I'm a scientist by trade, so I love data. I know Rob Canady. Not sure if he'll vouch for me or not. Where are you from? What is your home course? South Carolina. I used to be a country club member but poor management chased us off. Now, getting back in is going to be financially difficult, though we're considering it. So I'm really a nomad right now. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Best? Lots of courses. Worst? I don't really see a downside to having this many options. What do you do for a living? I'm a gene jockey (molecular biologist). How’d you pick your user name? My nickname back when I ran cross country and track in college.
  10. I have always liked Wilson, as evidenced by the C200's and FG Tour F5 irons which vie for space in my bag, and I continue to rock the D100 hybrids because they're so easy to hit and so damn effective. Was sad to see Corey go, but glad to hear W/S is still trending upward. I wondered if that would be the case once Vrska left.
  11. For me it's the Prolaunch Blue. Thing is money, and I gladly put it in all the woods I game.
  12. I've been using these wedges (52, 56, 60) with graphite shafts for months now. I didn't full swing with my wedges before, because a mishit would spell disaster, but with these, it really does feel like an extension of my irons (W/S C200's). I haven't had this much confidence 100 yards and in, in ... well, ever.
  13. I have the CBX wedges in 56 and 60 (graphite). Going to grab a 52 to complete the set. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  14. Wilson Staff C300 woods. Driver, fairway, hybrids ... Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  15. I like to full swing my wedges, but with the ones currently in my bag (W/S PMP's) the mishits can be pretty darn penal. I switched over to a C200 SW, which covers me to 54*, but that last slot is open. I've got my eye on the new Cleveland CBX however ... now, do I want to go 58 or 60?
