Most of my shoes have spikes , however I do own several pairs of G-Fore shoes because the bottoms have excellent gripping power without being a traditional spike. The key with G-Fore shoes is to not wear them out by walking on concrete and paths. Also , owning several pair will keep you from wearing down the same pair.

I change golf gloves about every 10 rounds. I then put them in my bag and use them for practice .

I have used a Cobra driver for the last 6 years ( 2 different models) and it is the best driver for combined accuracy and distance that I have ever owned.

My most memorable round was at Merion Golf Club . Pulling up to the clubhouse and then going inside this historic locker room was awesome. The first tee is right off the clubhouse and there was a small group of members gathered around to see people tee off ( no mulligans allowed ). We played behind the great amateur Buddy Marucci ( he battled Tiger in the 1995 US AM) . The golf course rough was just brutal as it should be . The greens were perfect and the wicker baskets for flag sticks are legendary. Every hole is memorable and different. Then you finish off your round with a legendary shower in the locker room which features shower heads the size of a man hole cover. You will never take another shower like the one you take at Merion ! A few drinks at the historic clubhouse looking at all of the old pictures and trophies is a fantastic way to finish your visit ! All the greats have played here !

I would say that on a perfect day my favorite course to play would be Turnberry in Scotland. The lighthouse, the water, the rolling land , the history , and the variety of shots you have to play is unmatched !

Always better to try and make the best possible swings with a club without having any pre-conceived idea on what the outcome may be because you know the shaft , the loft, the lie , etc.... You will find out after you make the good/bad swings, just be patient and let the fitter do their job based on the analytics and the ball flight .

Buy last year's Srixon 5 series irons , they have been marked down because of the new model this year and they are great for dispersion and distance.

There is only one Bandon; with 5 great courses it is hard to beat ! I love Streamsong too for a shorter golf trip. Food is comparable at both. Lodging is equal at both. Service is equal at both. If you go to either in the off seasons they are both good values. Peak season at either , you will pay dearly. The walks are a little easier at Streamsong. More memorable holes at Bandon because of the ocean views and cliff holes. Both resorts are in the middle of nowhere. There is a casino about 30 minutes from Bandon that you can go to via their shuttle. I have been to Bandon 8 times and Streamsong only once so I need to go back to Streamsong and play the Black course.

I bought a G-Fore bag which was made by Vessel. It is super cool ! Make sure you use a scotch guard on the leather so it holds up better. Also had my ball pocket ( which zips off ) engraved with my name and a red skull . Expensive but unique !

Do not put the 62 degree in your bag if you are a 15 handicap !!!!!!!!!!

Own several pair of white pants and white shorts, wear them all the time in Arizona where I live . Also , you will see a lot of white in AZ during the summer months.

I got fitted for an Evnroll putter about a year ago and I love it. My Spider putter would turn in when I was set up to the ball and I hated manipulating it to make it square. The Evnroll is solid, sets up square, and it puts a great roll on the ball. I will say the ball comes off faster which I like because you don't have to stroke the ball hard. Highly recommend . Also love the grip it comes with .

We just got back from Kauai a couple of weeks ago. My ranking would be Princeville ( it was too far to drive so I did not play this time but I have played it 3 times), Poipu Bay , and then Ocean Course. The Ocean Course has gone down hill in my estimation, it needs some work to get back to being worth the money. I used my Troon Card with points and cash and only paid $100 to play the Ocean Course. Poipu Bay is a great course with great views.

Just got back from 5 days at Sand Valley , played both courses twice and the sandbox twice. First class operation, just like Bandon without the ocean. Take caddies , they will make your walk enjoyable and they will help out tremendously with putting and lines . Ask for Don , he is the best caddy there, he actually played professional golf ( super nice guy ). Make sure you check out the food truck for some awesome food ! The accommodations are great !

I have 5 pairs of G-Fore shoes, you need to make sure you try them on as some of their shoes run small , like the skull shoes.

Played with a guy who had them and they are really good looking. I hit the 6 iron and it felt great. Good turf interaction.

I live in AZ so I wear them every time I play. The best sleeves for me are Foot Joy, they keep their shape and come in black, grey , and white. Nike do not hold up , I will not buy them anymore.
