  1. If would have started this thread it would have been titled "How can I be this bad on the green?". Seriously my putting would leave most of you in tears from laughing. Just keep swinging it man and things will turn around for you. When I get in a rut I do whatever I can to have zero swing thoughts and just play. Pick a line and just swing hard. Then when I'm out of the funk I focus more. Weird but it works for me. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  2. Now that my semester of school is over I've been able to play a lot more consistently. This week I've got to go out with my son, who's two, twice for just a nine holes each. There are few things in life that are better than spending time with him on the course, and I can't wait for the many years we have ahead of us. Sorry for the sappy part. As for the game, I'm finally feeling confident in the swing again and posting better scores. If I could putt the dang ball life would be perfect. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  3. Great write up's so far guys! I really look forward to reading the reviews. I enjoyed the first vapor line so I'm interested to how this line is. Thanks for the reviews! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app

  7. I know I'm way late to the party with this thread but I want to chime in anyway. I think it will be fun to have this long of a par 3. If most guys in the field play it over par it doesn't matter if it's a 3 or 4 par. It at lest gives us something to talk about and look forward to. As for my home course, #2 and #10 are both long par 3's. #2 is around 240 from the tips and generally plays into the wind and #10 is 255 but is usually down wind and down hill. Also as a side note, the elevation is around 3500 feet which is nice and helps it play shorter than you guys that play at sea level all the time. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  8. Great write ups so far guys! Can't wait to read the rest! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app

  10. I wish Carbon made putter with a neck other than the "plumbers neck". They really are so pleasing to look at. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  11. Congrats to the ones chosen! Like I said these aren't my cup of tea however I look forward to the reviews when helping friends and family selecting clubs.
  12. I was a caddie (that's the only way I'll ever be a part of a qualifier) for my buddy two years ago when he tried to qualify. He's probably a +1 or +2 and the best golfer I play with. The pressure is crazy high in those qualifiers and he let it get to him. This was when Tony Finau and Zac Blair were still on the Web.com tour and they were trying to qualify and they placed 1 and 2 shooting like 65 and 66 or something like that. Good luck to you guys and I wish you the best! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  13. I have the WS Nexus bag and I love it. But the SM 2Five bag is awesome. By far the lightest bag I've ever picked up. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  14. Oh boy I shouldn't have gotten started on this thread...I have nothing in my left pocket, two tees and two quarters in my right pocket and the rest of the pockets are empty. But inside of 100 yards I'll take my glove off and put it in my back left pocket. If I hit a bad tee shot I'll switch that tee out for a different one or just toss it if it was a really poor shot (because obviously it was the tees fault not mine). 15. These irons aren't my cup of tea but good luck to all of you! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  16. Have you tried the newish Apex UT? One came into our shop yesterday and it feels like "butta"! Seemed pretty easy to hit as well. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  17. So I think I finally have my bag figured out for this season, for now....Here are the updated pics. The Kylo Ren headcover was a must purchase when it came out... This putter isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Can't emphasize how much I enjoy this wedge. I don't know if it's just a "new club, honeymoon stage" or it really is that good of a wedge, but I feel like I can get up and down from anywhere with this club right now. I'm going to be doing a full write up/review of these irons, but in short, they are awesome. A bit bigger than what I have played in the past but I just don't play as much as I have in the past and need the forgiveness. I tried a few different shafts this winter and ended up going back to this one. I hit it yesterday and it just felt like coming home. I haven't found anything that has out performed this head, and then I found this shaft on a good deal and it has only improved the situation. Now that the tools are in place, the only thing that needs to arrive is my game, and I might be waiting a while for that.
  18. Mizuno irons are just good lookin, they just are. It's a good looking set up man.
  19. We had a great round today! This was his first time actually going out on the course. We've been letting him putt on the practice green but today he got ride around with me. He loved it. Got to start him young! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  20. Good write up Oaks. I like that this first stage is more of a background on the players. Gives me a good idea where the reviewers are coming from. Thanks for your time! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app

  22. So this is random but in my neighborhood most of us are college students, but there are a group of kids who live behind me who apparently have more money then they know what to do with, one of the guys just this week brought home a brand new '16 Z06. This car is SICK! IMO any budget that is flexible should probably have room for this car. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all. My father in-law has the 2015 Vette and the new models are by far the best Corvette they've made. They dropped the race car idea and just made a badass luxury sports car; smooth and quiet ride with all the bells and whistles inside.
  23. '83 Ford Ranger '84 Lincoln Continental '96 Honda Accord '08 Mazda 3 '07 Chevy Avalanche '12 Mazda 3 This is my baby now. 2012 Hyundai Veloster. It's a fun little car to get around in for a poor college student. My only regret is that I didn't go with the Turbo version, but on the bright side this gets substantially better MPG.
