Well this season ended on a high note! Myself, Casey_0507 and another buddy of ours played in a 2-day Calcutta tourney. Saturday was just horrible, 50* 25mph+ winds and rain all day...and Sunday was the exact opposite, nearly 80* and sunny. Hole locations were similar to a putt-putt course, just missing the clowns mouth and the windmill. Case and point, hole 5 is a long par 5, hole is about 15ft up the hill but there is ZERO chance of stopping the ball. Either hit the putt or it rolls right back off. There was a team that was putting for a birdie 5 and left with a triple...it took them 14 putts. Tee boxes were all the way back and some were even built just for this event to make holes even more brutal.
Anyway, we squeezed out a -4 on the first day which got us in the second flight with 16 teams. We bought our team for $250, which we were happy with. Ended up shooting -7 on Sunday to finish 1-stroke back (two teams at -12). We tied with a few teams but won the tiebreakers to finish 3rd. Brought home about $515/person. It is officially deer season here in Indiana and I will not be on the course much until the spring!
