  1. I tested out many of the popular sims at the PGA merchandise show in 2013. So my info is outdated. Went there thinking I was going to purchase HD golf or aboutgolf system. Found the Foresight machine for a lot less money and it has been a great investment. I purchased the GC2 with HMT for around $15K with software. The only issue is that if you have friends that are different dexterity. It doesn't work because you have to move the launch monitor and you don't want to move the monitor/camera system after you get it set just right. I believe they have the new Hawk which is overhead so it measures from above, doesn't matter what side you are hitting from. I believe it costs around $16K for the Hawk. I think the new trackman is around $18K but older models may be a lot less. I don't think you can go wrong with trackman or foresight systems, they both do very well. If you are needing to take it out to the range, I would go with the trackman, if you just used inside, I would go with the overhead permanent mounted Hawk from foresight golf. You never have to worry about someone stepping on the system or have to calibrate it, so that it just right. I put my GC2 in my cabinet when not using and it always takes a few extra minutes to get it set up just right so keep that in mind. I thought that I wanted a system to take to the range but I never take my system to the range because its a very expensive item to haul around. By the time you carry you bag and a bucket of balls out to the range who wants to go and setup a launch monitor. I can see where the ball is it hit and how far it flew on the range. The launch monitor lets me virtually see the ball flight when I hit it 3 yards into a screen, that is where the system is needed most, for indoor use. Hope this helps. Also I purchased a lot of courses/software packages. I have way to many courses that I never play. I use the club fitting/ range software 90% of the time and only play 10% on the sim courses. The putting on this sim is not great but I have tried worse sims by far. So for what it's worth, I use my sim to work on my shot or test new clubs on the range, more than I do with have 3 buddies come over in and play a round of golf in the winter. Hope this helps.
  2. Due to the global pandemic, will we see big discounts on new clubs when the big box stores open back up? Your thoughts!
  3. If you need my help, I can help you review products using my GC2/HMT launch monitor, to test equipment out golf equipment, just let me know. 1. JJ/Nebraska 2. Motore Speeder VC 7.2 3. 115 mph cold to 121 mph warmed up 4. I need to reduce my spin rate, I have struggled to keep spin rate under 3500. Obviously I would like it to see that down around 2500 or lower. I'm currently looking at newer drivers this year to help with this issue. I know it's not the club, it's the golfer. So I'm working on that too! 5. I installed my personal home golf simulator in my basement living room after reviewing many different launch monitors at the PGA Merchandise Show in 2013. I ended up going with Foresight GC2 with HMT and their software.
  4. Why drive a sports car when you can buy a cheap lemon at a used car dealer for a lot less? Because I can and I want to. I also just ordered a set of Miura's.
  5. Great replies everyone. I currently own the Bolle Ransom, which I really like. I have a big head and they fit well on my face. However, it looks like I need to be looking into the Prism lens by Oakley. They sound like they are the top of the line. Thanks to all for the replies.
  6. Does anyone want to share their expertise about their sunglasses they wear on the course. Golf lens vs. black lens, etc.. Polarized or non-polarized? What they like or dislike about their golf shades. I'm looking for a good pair for the course and the truck which may mean getting two different pairs. Currently looking at Oakley's Prism or G30 lens.

  8. Miz-lover I did the exact same thing. Went with the fang 2ball tank. Gamed the ping karstan tr with fatso ss last year.
  9. I'm a 8 handicapper from Nebraska and addicted to golf equipment. I have to have the latest and greatest equipment. I have been viewing MSG for a while now for their equipment reviews. I have a GC2 w/ HMT launch monitor and do a lot of testing for myself. I drive my golf pro nuts, bring home his demo equipment to try, almost every night. My be I can help others with my opinions of the new equipment that I have tried and tested. I didn't know what a forum troll was until the other night and I can tell you that I'm not a troll.
  10. Would like the opportunity to test the new Ben Hogan irons. Ben Hogan was a legendary golfer and that is all that the name means to me. I'm however intrigued by the new irons and wedges designed by BenHogan golf. I have the ability to test the clubs on my CG2 w/HMT launch monitor and compare them to my CB 714's and vokey wedges and other collections of previous MP irons, etc. My handicap is an 8. I will give a honest review of how they compare to my Titleist irons, if selected for testing. My specs are 1/2" long, up 1 degree lie, with midsize grip. 23*,27,31,34,37,41,44,47,51,55,59. Thanks for the chance to be selected as one of your testers MGS
