  1. Yes I actually rent a cart shed for my cart at my local golf course. Even the other courses in my area allow me to take mine there to use. Only one charges a $10 trail fee which isn’t terrible. I posted a picture a few days ago but here is mine again. Still a little more work I wanna do but she is a runner for 32 years old.
  2. Ok then. Don’t look now but you are chatting on a golf forum Edit: Just trying to show I can joke around too. Wasn’t trying to come off as an a$$.
  3. Where did I or any other staff member say anything about ad revenue? You can try to make me out to be a bad guy or twist this into whatever you’d like but this system has proven to work. As mentioned above a review is a 4-6 week(sometimes longer) responsibility for a member to use the equipment and talk about it before giving the final review. While you are correct not everyone can write a good paper, but that good paper that is written doesn’t tell us anything other than that person can write a paper. Again you are missing the point of posts being a tiny requirement. Im sorry you don’t care for how we do things. All we can do is be upfront with how we chose testers and that it isn’t just some contest or whatever word anyone wants to use. We have a responsibility to the OEMs to make sure that the equipment they provide for a review is in fact reviewed. This has nothing to do with advertising or even money. My comment about the amount of $ in equipment was meant to provide some context on why we do it this way. We expect the same effort for a ball review as we do an iron set review.
  4. You are missing the point of wanting to see posts in the forum. It shows a little commitment to this place. As I said anyone can write one paper but that shows us nothing for your commitment to MGS. This is a community of golfers not a review site. Yes we do member reviews but that’s not what this forums core is about. It’s a Perk given to those that care to take the time to be a part of this family. I’ll just put it like this. You are right, my mind is set and you arent gonna change it. I’m not gonna agree to send someone $1500 set of irons cuz they gave me their word they’d be a good reviewer but don’t have time/want to post here to prove it unless it’s for a review. Sorry not sorry.
  5. This is exactly a get out what you put in situation. Anyone can write one paper or say I’ll do what I promise. Sorry but that isn’t good enough when OEM’s are trusting the staff with HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS worth of equipment every year to give to members to keep free of charge. All the members have to do is follow the rules and SHOW they can be trusted. It’s not really that hard of a concept. We are up front and honest about the criteria to qualify. Whether you like it or not is your choice. It also doesn’t take a ton of time or effort to prove you would make a good tester. We aren’t asking for 50 posts and 5 hours a day of your time. There are members that have been chosen with less than 50 posts in 6 months that have been chosen. Unofficial reviews of clubs you have or have tried recently are a great start. If you have a club that the members are reviewing now, hop in and give your thoughts. If you stick around(hopefully you do), you will find out pretty quick there is always something to talk about as there are many things that aren’t even fully golf related that are discussed.
  6. Lol if you don’t have time to get involved in the forum to show us that you’d make a good tester, you ain’t got time for a review anyways sir. That may sound rude and blunt but oh well. There is an old saying. You get out what you put in!
  7. Oh I’m here. I’m always watching!!
  8. Ok guys let’s hear about that fairway wood. Easier to hit off the turf? Higher launch?
  9. Congrats on the milestone. Here is to another 1000!
  10. Can’t wait to get started. With the Mevo plus I may actually have a shot to compete the whole year
  11. Thanks. Bought the cart for $250 7 years ago and this is the first year I’m really doing anything to it other than batteries when I got it. Needs a motor upgrade as it has a torque motor and a controller/solenoid upgrade in it as its slow but otherwise it’s almost all new
  12. Reviving an older thread as I just grabbed new batteries, a new charger, and some new wheels for my 1992 ego marathon.
  13. I can’t wait for you guys to start getting these shafts. Such a neat concept and even just the ability to see how you use the ground and shift your weight with the plates and app was awesome to see. Tempting to take one of the fitting shafts out for a run tomorrow just to see how it goes lol
  14. Not a question just a thank you for reading and following the rules sir. GLWS
  15. Well dang I like these. These or the Miura ic-602’s may be my next iron purchase
  16. Any ball with top spin will dive into the ground without flying very far. All balls not miss hit will have back spin and more than likely some degree of side spin.
  17. I can’t say for sure if they are legit or not but an email to KBS with the serial numbers and other markings should shed some light.
  18. I absolutely love my Voice Caddie SL2 rangefinder/gps/green undulation that I tested for MGS a couple years ago. It’s up there in price and has a rechargeable battery but it last forever on a charge. I actually just used it for the first time since September and it still worked with almost full battery. I can’t recommend it enough
  19. Shouldn’t matter on balls as this system only measures ground forces. Doesn’t track any ball or club data. If there is enough interest I’m sure Terra Forza would love the additional information on different swings
  20. If Bryan wants to lug it that far I’m betting we can work something g out with Colin and Terra Forza
  21. The changes will be very similar to butt end trimming. There won’t be much of a weight difference between 1” off the butt or 1” off the tip and will be more of a length thing changing the swing weight
  22. As RB stated some non pros can tell a difference. I assure you I can tell a swingweight difference taking a half an inch off my driver if I don’t adjust. Also the op said the shaft was already on the verge of feeling too stiff so he may very well notice the “extra stiffness” from lighter swing weight.
  23. Great write up Tim. Can’t wait for Tuesday to fit Mike and really dive into this process.
  24. I could be wrong but cutting it shorter and putting the same grip on without changing the head weight will make the club swing weight lighter and inherently feel slightly stiffer. Probably not enough to notice at half an inch but you won’t know how it will affect you until you do it
  25. Ok testers now that everyone has their shafts let’s keep this going with a bang. What are your guys thoughts on the hybrid shaft and how it’s performing?
