  2. Cardinal C.C in Selma, NC. 1st hole is a par 5, you don't tee off until the group in front of you is on the green, makes pace of play perfect. I don't understand why this isn't a norm. Besides pace of play, a nice gentle par 5 as an opening hole gives players a chance to recover from a crappy shot on the first hole and still eek out a par.
  3. - Todd - Florida - Ping i200 4-UW - Nippon NS Pro Modus3 Tour 105 X - 168
  4. I have the JPX 900 Forged already in my bag! Good luck to all the folks wanting to test these, and you want these.
  5. I will never buy another TaylorMade product. I am a 4 handicap, I know what I'm doing. I have an M1 driver that I made an idiot mark on about 6 months ago. (you pop one up and leave a paint chip on the crown) About 2 months ago I noticed a crack in the top of the clubhead, sent it in via a clubfitter. TM is refusing to replace saying the idiot mark caused the crack, which is laughable at best. A ball skimming the top of the clubhead caused a crack? Please. this type of "customer service" needs to be called out.
  6. Todd Florida Current Handicap is 3.9 Current Iron Set: Mizuno JPX 900 forged, 4 - GW x-flex Nippon Modus Tour 105 If selected for testing, and the Pings do not replace the Mizunos in my bag, I will return the Pings to MGS and they can be given to another member. I'm not in it only for the free gear, I want to perform testing to give other golfers solid feedback on purchase decisions.
  7. Todd Riverview, FL Strength: bunker play, running chip shots Weakness: distance control on pitch shots, usually come up short The PING Glide 2.0 specs: according to Ping: 50/SS, 54SS, 60SS I have a heavy amateur tournament schedule through August. I will have time for pure testing and a lot of on-course testing during competition. Current wedges are Vokey 56 10 degree bounce and Renegar 60 degree.
  8. Todd V. from Tampa, FL I currently use a Leupold GX-4i that has the interchangeable face plate for slope or no slope. This is Florida, so slope is pretty useless here......it's flat, so I never really use the slope faceplate. If lucky enough to be chosen for testing, I'd prefer the version without slope as I won't really be able to give solid feedback on that functionality. I'm playing tournaments almost every weekend right now, so I can do testing immediately. Thanks for the consideration and good luck to all for this awesome opportunity.
  9. https://squareup.com/store/dogleg-reaper/ Lose weight, add weight, same belt. These belts are awesome, the cog design allows you to use the same belt without new holes needed and the buckles are just sweet. Full disclosure: I am a happy customer and the local owner has been nothing but awesome to me, hence the post. Worth your dollar.
  10. I went to their website via clicking a link in an email from Wilson: http://www.wilson.com/en-us/golf/drivers/driver-vs-driver For the heck of it, I put together a "custom" club and tried to add it to my shopping cart, nope. Website isn't working, that's not good after they built up the hype for this club.....
  11. 1. Have you purchased any golf products based on MyGolfSpy reviews? (Please list which ones.) TM M1 driver, Snell MTB, EVNRoll putter 2. How has MyGolfSpy changed the way you think about golf equipment? A company has a marketing department for a reason, their job is to convince potential customers to purchase their products. As golfers, we are a particularly gullible group (myself included) and the marketers know this. Your continued testing of products and comparing the results to the marketing claims are invaluable to those of us who don't have the time and/or resources to do our own testing of multiple products in multiple categories. My lists for what products to consider gets pared down significantly based on what I read on MGS and my experiences have mirrored your findings. 3. Have these purchases lowered your scores? (List which products and how much they have lowered your scores.) Yes. The TM M1 added yards to my drives, even more so when I put both weights into the back slot after reading the article here, shorter irons into the greens which leads to approach shots closer to the hole. And then I put the EVNRoll putter in my bag after reading the review here and am making more putts than I have in years. As a single digit handicap, I can objectively claim that the better drives and better putting have taken 3 shots off my typical score over the last 2 months. I cannot claim that the Snell MTB has lowered my scores, but it's a better ball and half the price of what I was playing before (ProV1x) and I am a complete convert to the Snell ball. 4. How have these purchases helped you enjoy the game more? How? This is a loaded question.....of course I enjoy the game more, I'm playing better!

  13. Todd Tampa, FL Handicap 6 What's in the bag: Driver - TM M1 Woods - Titleist 915F Hybrid - Titleist 915H Irons - Ping i25 Vokey Wedges - 56, 60 degree Putter - Bobby Grace Ball - Snell My Tour Ball
  14. Todd / Florida handicap - 6 Cobra Fly-Z with Aldila Tour Blue x-stiff 106 mph swing speed with driver I gave the X-Hot clubs an honest test a couple of years ago but they were hook producing machines for me. The XR 16 Pro would be my preference for testing.
