  1. Have you tried using Air Drop? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Beautiful set of irons. Glad to hear they are working well for you. Very nice! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. What a baby Bryson was being. Hurting his brand? Give me a break. It’s not like this cameraman was a paparazzi staking him out in front of his house trying to capture him in a “gotcha” moment. I’ve was a cameraman on the field of NFL games for over 10 years, did MLB sometimes too. My job is to capture the moments that tell the story of the sporting contest on the field. The good, the bad, the wins, the losses. I am not worried about a players “brand”. The cameraman is capturing the moment, the producers in the sat truck are the ones telling you in your ear what shots to get, they decide what gets broadcast. The cameraman was doing his job, now piss off and do yours. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Buying vintage clubs vs new clubs is like shopping at a TJ Maxx vs JC Penney. You want the new club, you know where to find it. If you are looking for a certain vintage club it is the thrill of the hunt, you never know what you’ll find. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. False alarm. Someone sending me some persimmons for a refinish. Oh well, the wait continues. [emoji16] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. I just received a shipping confirmation email from UPS that I have a mysterious delivery pending.....weight 7 lbs..... Could it be? [emoji16] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Ok spies. The pending arrival of my paint booth means my workshop will be complete and ready for more streamlined persimmon refinishing. Unfortunately I need to move out some stuff to make room for it. Shoot me a PM with any questions. Arias True Zero Offset iron and wedge set for sale. For everyone that always said they want an iron with less offset, these are it. Zero offset in the irons and slight onset in the wedges with a forgiving midsize shape. Stainless steel heads that have a very nice feel. 4-PW, Gap, Sand, & Lob wedge all built with Steelfiber FC115 stiff shafts. Constant 4* lofts starting with the 22* 4 iron up to the 58* Lob wedge. Standard length, 2* upright. Very good condition showing just a little bit of wear. Grips are new but cheap Karma’s blown on so easy to swap to what you like. $800 plus shipping Next, is an incredible set of 1960 Ben Hogan Power Thrust irons 2-E restored to like new condition. This is a grail set of irons that have been restored to their original glory, ready to play or display. First, the heads have been rechromed and given a satin finish. They never came this way from the factory but they should have as the satin finish is incredible. The original Pro Fit shafts have been spine aligned and lengthened 1/2” to bring the clubs to modern playing length. The clubs have been topped of with new GripMaster leather grips. Please note, the Pro Fit shaft is regular flex but plays closer to a modern stiff flex. Also, some shaft bands are missing but the original ones have been saved when available. Some may also be slightly turned as the shafts have been spine aligned and the shaft label might not face straight up but are original. This set has been tuned up and will hold its own against any modern blade style iron. They are ready to play and will be an incredible addition to any bag. $450 plus shipping Now, for those that want to try persimmon, but don’t want a classic set. Louisville Modern Persimmon Wood Set 1-3-5 I finished these to be a more modern playing set of persimmon woods. Fujikura 65 gram graphite shafts in stiff flex. Driver plays at 45”, 3-wood 43”, 5-wood 42”. The Louisville Smart driver head is larger than vintage persimmon drivers and measures 265cc make it a bit more forgiving for a novice persimmon player. $400 plus shipping for the set And finally, some cheaper, still sort of modern persimmon woods. Early 1980’s Orlimar persimmon wood set 1,3,4 with Dynamic Regular flex shafts and GripMaster leather grips. This set is newly new but has been hit a few times. One of my NOS sets that I let a few people test out at the range. Show very slight wear. $75 plus shipping
  8. I feel the same way about the NHL. As much as I love watching hockey I think it foolish to try to restart the season next month. Let’s reign in this epidemic before restarting professional contact sports. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. It’s a sweet taste, not sure how to explain it. When I started working in the casinos 20 years ago this sweet old Laos woman would bring me tamarind hard candies from her little market she ran. Got me hooked on the tamarind. Love it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. When we go out for tacos it’s the tamarind Jarritos for me. [emoji106] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Well, I found the Tour Edge Rally which is a copy Callaway PM Grind on close out for $24 at Budget Golf so I figured it would be a cheap way try out the hi toe design. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Here is an interesting article from Tom Wishon in regards to shaft flex and tempo. https://wishongolf.com/2013/07/31/short-powerful-backswing-so-whats-the-best-shaft-for-me/ My driver swing speed is the same as yours but I have a long backswing, past parallel with the driver. Because my transition is smoother and my long swing has more time to get up to speed I do very well with heavy shafts in regular flex. Actually, R+ or firm are really the wheelhouse for me. The old Royal Precision Rifle 5.0 or Dynamic Gold R400’s both work really well. At the same time, I have played stiff in KBS and now have Steelfiber FC115 stiffs in another set of irons and they play well too, although I prefer the Rifle 5.0 and am playing my iron set that has those right now. As mentioned, shaft weight has a big impact on performance, as much as flex does. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  14. I see Wilson has a Hi Toe style wedge as well, the Wilson Staff HT wedge. Looks like it has a little less offset than the Callaway. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Right now I’m leaning towards a TaylorMade Hi Toe or Callaway PM Grind. A big bit of marketing about these wedges is the versatility around the greens and the ease of opening them up for flop shots. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Well for the past couple of years I was content. I played my simple bag of classic clubs and didn’t need to obsess over the minutiae of all the details and configurations of modern clubs. I was enjoying the simplicity and was happy. A big part of that happiness was in my short game. Any shot inside 75 yards I grabbed my trusty 1957 Wilson 3D Triple Duty wedge and opened the face or hooded it or generally manipulated it to do whatever was needed. I’ve gotten pretty good with it too. But then I bought some new wedges to go with my modern set and now I’m overwhelmed with wedge choices... high bounce, low bounce, K grind, F grind, etc. The thing I do like is those nice new grooves and when I open up those new wedges the ball stops so easily. Now I’m looking for the ultimate single wedge to put in my bag. A 54-56* (I’m playing a 50* pitching wedge) wedge that is great around the greens, from the rough, the sand, even tight lies. A grind that will keep the leading edge low when I open the face way up. That one perfect wedge.....so what is it?! Cleveland RTX, Vokey, Ping Glide Forged? Tell me the ultimate all-around wedge. 17. Old thread but relevant to me these days. I just recently decided to switch to a mallet putter but instead of buying a new one I decided to take back the Rife Legend Z I put in my wife’s bag after I tried it out a few years ago. I had shortened it a bit for her so I glued an extension in and prepared to regrip. Unfortunately, I was out of putter grips so I began to think more about using a round putter grip. I have jumbo, arthritic, non-tapered grips on all my clubs already so I figured why not add it to the 14th club. All of the sudden that mallet that I couldn’t bond with is making every putt for me. First 9 out with it I had only 14 putts, and no 3 putts. It feels so natural to use a round grip I don’t think I’ll ever switch back to an actual flat putter grip. I suggest everyone give it a try. 18. Yeah, my dad is a lefty but plays golf righty since that’s all the clubs he had. He also played hockey righty. I’m a righty, play golf righty, play hockey lefty. Oldest daughter is lefty, middle is righty, and the 6 year old is undecided. Playing wiffleball in the backyard she tries batting facing the pitcher, not turned to swing right or left handed. [emoji23] Oh well, she’s the dancer of the family, not the athlete. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Whether it rolls the ball well or not, you now have something to remember him and that round by, which is priceless. Well done! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Now that I’m rolling with a mallet I had to pick up one of these. I’m my playing days I played goalie but once I hit my mid 30’s I had to hang up the skates. Hockey has always been my favorite team sport and I still watch every NY Rangers game. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. I do have a few lefties. I’m holding onto them for my kids. Two of the three are lefties, go figure. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Yeah, shoot me a message. I love to talk the classics. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
