Ryan had a bit of a different role with TXG and now he is at Golf.com. Ryan is and was much more technical than Matt. More in line with what Ian and Ryan already brought to the channel. Matty and TXG parted ways last year as TXG was being acquired by Club Champion and Matty also was dealing with some mental health things. Well yesterday Matt made a surprise appearance on their Live QA and they announced that he will be back to being in videos. Really happy that the band is back together as the Matt and Ian chemistry is undeniable. Also happy for Matt as mental health issues are no joke and it is a never ending journey. I'm a matte finish guy so anything gloss isn't my preference. That being said it's a bit much at first but once you stand over a couple dozen times it just kind of goes away and doesn't stick out

The STZ Fairway wood from 2 years ago was incredible. Absolutely incredible. I wanted to game it, but it just launched too damn high for me. I would say close to 98% am amateur golfers could use a fairway wood that launches higher and I wish it would have gotten more exposure because I bet it would have been a game changer for so many people. This is the first follow-up to it, so I cannot waitto see how it performs.

Great stuff @cnosil! I remember when TaylorMade released the SLDR and launched there "17 & 1700" campaign -- as if 17 degrees of launch and 1700 rpms of backspin was the holy grail that every golfer should try to get during their fitting. Man that was awful and a detriment to so many golfers!

First question you need to answer is how long and how wide.

Getting the thread back on topic: I am not a club maker but any means, but for awhile I dabbled in doing my own reshafting. Biggest mistakes were: Using the correct amount of heat - know when to use a torch vs heat gun. I ruined a couple shafts and adapters with too much heat Not caring about swing weight - I never even had a swing weight scale and when I put some swapped shafts in my irons I messed everything up. I thought it was as simple as taking out one shaft and putting in another. I was wrong If you are bending a putter loft/lie, do so BEFORE you put on a new grip.

Sometimes we all have to look in the mirror and ask "What am I doing to help grow the forum" MGS Forum is never going to be WRX. It is never going to be THP. We are working on carving out our own existence and re-branding the forum. It is going to take time, but I think with the mod group we have now we are on the right path.

Yup, I read that as well. I wonder if that means they are ditching the turbulators on the driver since they already ditched them on the G425 fairways and hybrids.
