  10. Yes I do this for all my "clients" (friends and others) and I do charge a nominal fee of $15 per club.
  11. Well the stats are there for anyone willing to find them. Pure-ing...spine-ing was done initially to find the stiffest portion of the staff and therefore get every staff bending and twisting in the same direction as you load the staff at the top of the swing relative to the heel/toe of the head. The outcome was thought to bring a little more distance, dubious at best, but the effect of dispersion is undeniable. Now if you would pick out the "go to" club in your bag, the one you hit most consistently, able to fade or draw at command, and you mark the shaft 90 degrees to the face and that shaft will be close to the stiffest portion of the staff or the spine. And even though shafts are much more consistent than in the past there is still a "spine" in the shaft. Now if you then take one more step and FLO (flat line oscillation) and find the exact "spine" orientation of the shaft that will oscillate the tip in a flat line when the butt of the shaft is affixed, then the "spine-ing and dispersion will be magnified...that is every club in you bag reacts upon loading in the same manner. This is physics and engineering and it is science and not folk law...it does work. I do it for all the clubs I shaft, both metal and graphite and everyone I do it for for one club bring all the rest to have them done. So far everyone I have done this for has seen a 1-3 handicap improvement in their game...that's huge if you ask me.

  15. 1. Have you purchased any golf products based on MyGolfSpy reviews? (Please list which ones.) Have upgraded my shafts because of these reviews. 2. How has MyGolfSpy changed the way you think about golf equipment? I am more confident that the second tier golf club/component manufacturers have as good a product as the major manufacturers and I buy my components and assemble my clubs myself with purred and FLOed shafts for decreased dispersion. 3. Have these purchases lowered your scores? (List which products and how much they have lowered your scores.) Yes because I am at the same place I was 8-10 years ago while now hitting age 67, still a 6-7 hdcp 4. How have these purchases helped you enjoy the game more? How? Irons are just as long, actually back to same distances as 8-10 years ago, driver is longer and now play hybrids, longer and straighter than 3,4,5 irons. My thinking on how to hit and how to design my shots are because the equipment has changed and you guys improve my data base on concepts to allow me to make better clubs.

  19. Stan San Antonio TX 7.0 Just to add, the variable launch values, I had to get several years ago was done by a set of Dynamic Gold shafts that had a variable set pattern, promoting high launch in lower irons 3-5 and mid launch values for 6-8, and then lower launch values for 9-SW. It was great as I wanted higher launch, softer landing long irons but already hitting very high wedges, the lower launch angles were perfect for me. Now to have that in an iron set like this, I long to have those shafts back, having iron heads to do the same thing would make golf extremely fun again...just saying.
  20. Stan Wendt San Antonio TX 6.8 Yes, I am a sweeper of the ball.
