  1. I used the super speed system and went from around 85 to just over 100 MPH. I also have worked on hip and shoulder mobility and have avoided any injuries
  2. My wife bought me a putter fitting and a Scotty Cameron putter as a pre-retirement/birthday gift. 'Im crappy at golf, but I wanted it I also bought a replacement set of brushes for my frogger brush. Good week.
  3. 52 years playing and I still love it. Up here in Saskatchewan, I play indoors in a league on a simulators on Wednesday nights from October to March. For me I look forward to Wednesday like it is a holiday day every week.
  4. Apart from consumables (balls, tees, gloves), I bought a Titleist T1 driver, a new big max push cart, a sun mountain sync (2023 version) golf bag, a divot board, an eyeline impact bag, and a new pair of FootJoy ProSL shoes. Absolutely love the driver and the Sun Mountain bag. Sun Mountain changed the top design for the 2024 version of the Sync and I think that was a step backwards. Didn't think that I had spent that much last year, but in retrospect, was wrong.
  5. Hi, My additions to this would be: Using mineral spirits will stink for a couple weeks. Buy grip solvent if you dont want the smell. I mark the length of the grip and the alignment mark with masking tape on the shaft before I take the old grip off when the new grips are the same as the old. If your clubs are cold, let them warm up to room temp (my garage heated, but is only 6 degrees Celsius in winter), this will help with grip tape removal and require less heat gun work. I had some wedges where the factory tape was at least 1 inch from the end and all of these grips split from going in/out of the bag. Make sure you tape close to the length and not too short. (Or too long, you dont want tape beyond the end of the grip, its needs to be just-right )
  6. I’ve been using the Kirkland ks1 putter for about a year and a bit. It was on sale and my wife picked it up for me for Father’s Day. No risk with their return policy. Was using a MLA mallet before that. I added the larger weights to it and it has been my best putter ever for me for hitting my aim point and for weight. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  7. Typically I prefer to walk with a push cart. When it's super hot, have an injury/ache, or a course that has significant distance between holes, then ride. Sadly, as I get older, the number of ache's are increasing.
  8. I have played my home course 3 times this year. Its 3 different 9's so I've played each nine twice. One birdie so far. (This exercise has made me sad ). On the plus side, the birdie was on the hardest hole. 227 par 3 with a strong prarie wind.
  9. 2 - Lamkin Sonar Wrap Midsize on everything but putter. Superstroke on putter. I really like how the Lankin grips stay tacky. My driver and wedges came with Golf Pride tour velvet. They split at the bottom. It seems there was no tape for the last couple of inches. Also they lost any tackyness within a few weeks. I changed from Sonar+ to Sonar+wrap. The new wrap grips do not have the alignment markings that the Sonar+ had. I am surprised that I like not having them.
  10. Same as a lot of people. Dawn soap and water. Light rub with dishcloth. I have been using Lamkin Sonar mid's and now wraps. These grips have stayed the tackiest between cleaning compared to other grips I have used (Golf pride mainly).
  11. -15 celsius, 5 farenheit. Indoor golf only until April
  12. Thanks for the pool. Entered and currently tied for first. (Gotta take the wins as they come).
  13. I'm in, currently tied for first. Its all downhill from here. Team: Cold in Canada Thanks MGS
  14. I won a set of Lamkin Sonor Mid grips and found I really like them Prior to them the fitter had said that I should have jumbo based on my hand side but I found them too large. So part of my like is due to them being a better size than my last grips. I had Sonor installed again when I bought new irons this year and will stick with them for the next set too. They stay really tacky even after a few seasons. They get about 50-60 rounds a year (including 4 months indoor golf during our inifinite winter here in Saskatchewan).
