  1. Always loved this older callaway commercial...Sums up my golf game. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

  3. Greatly enjoying the Bridgestone B RX. This ball, oddly enough was under my radar. Plays similar to a pro 1x lite, but with pro v1 trajectory. Ample spin, good, moderate click and had made my game just a bit more competitive. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  4. I usually stick with SS. Love flatso and the newish gtr Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  5. Possibly a ping nome or ketch... if I can find one! Maybe a SS gtr grip for current putter. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  6. Tinkered with putting grip. Alternated on practice green between double overlap and the pencil grips. Settled on double overlap, with putter position parallel with center line, and ball just ahead of stance. Also practiced hooded 64* chips. Lipped out a few and had some tap-ins. Now, hope it works on course. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  7. FJ Tour-S to replace my gen 1 DNAs. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  8. Finally got out yesterday to play the nine course adjacent to the main course (lacked daylight to play main course). Shot +2 thought first nine, including a birdie on three. Finished on 13/ hole 4 in total 4 over. Love my new to me G30s, easy off the tee, sweet from fairway. Still tinkering with putter grip; practicing pencil and double overlap. Good time and only paid $9. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  9. Used to carry 3 and 4 hybrid (both xr). Now I just carry a ping g30 19* w/ tour shaft. It has made me focus on hitting 4 iron better, though not always perfect. You could carry as many hybrids as you want. Look at various LPGA players, They play what works for them, in conjunction with their distance gapping, which is a priority. 10. As others have said Ben Hogan's five lessons works extremely well (especially if you overlap grip, but still works for interlock); and Penick's red book for justification and acts as a quick reference. I personally recommend, Nick Faldo‘ A Swing for Life. Instruction is simplified, well written, and he explains little nuances in great detail. Also, Leadbetter's Positive Practice is a quick and understandable read, ( as opposed to the A Swing, which sounds a lot like stack and tilt). I'd also recommend Phil's Secrets of the Short Game, but only the chipping, pitching, and bunker play. The putter section lacks a bit of luster. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  11. Callaway Sure Out 64*... Honestly my bunker play last year reeked...Hope it works on hardpan. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  12. I carry only one, a 19* that I use mainly for a 215-220yd par 3. Used carry 5 wood, then 21* 4 iron. Using hybrid is a acquired taste, but gradually it becomes your best buddy. I tried using a x-utility proto, but for my swing, it only worked off the tee. Hence me getting a g30 19*. Use what suits your swing and what you feel confident in. Best of luck. 13. Picked up a pair of FJ Freestyles for $69 on closeout at nearby DSG. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  14. Usually walk. Cart only when pressed for time aka chasing daylight or slight drizzle. Also walking for slightly breezy day. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  15. Ok I caved in, ordered a ping g 30 19* hybrid w/ tour stiff, to replace heavenwood and xr hybrid. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  16. +1, add me to the list using superstroke 2.0. Currently gaming g2 craz-e I got for a song, and put a pp62. My sigma g craz-e has stock pp60. Only small grip I have is a 90's/2000s grip on a old ping pal. I was told, for me to use the biggest grip possible. I enjoy SS, but certain models get dirty faster than others. 17. Just got big Bertha v-series heavenwood. Reshafted and shortened w/ Aldila NV 65s. Hope this provides better gapping than carrying XR 3&4 hybrids. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  18. Still itching to try vice pro or cut urethane. Even new snell or stock up on 3-piece MTB. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  19. Had Xr Pro driver and still have xr Pro woods. I was told stock shaft had same profile and near as exact specs to handcrafted. Was told by fitter, differences were standard was machine woven and other obviously was the handcrafted. But at my 8 handicap I wouldn't be able to tell difference. 20. Same here. Scratch always was well out of my price range, even with their specials, but heard great things. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  21. Only one aid, given to me. The Kallassy swing magic 5i. Helps my grip and obviously arm position. Just a few timed swings, and ready for action. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  22. I'd like to see Nickent, Macgreger, and Hopkins golf. Nickent had good ideas on driver design, but hard to find, and a bit zany. Macgregor had pretty sweet blades and cavity irons. Still remember early on Aaron Badds, “Tell them your playing forged” “Macgregor”! Lastly Hopkins, fairways needed more options, and wedges needed less. Also was really unsure about their golf ball; more skepticism than solid performance. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  23. Was always intrigued by Bombtech and their Grenade line up, but heard good things. Also feel Cleveland is underrated with the new HB line. Always have a special place for Cleveland classic/xl. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  24. For me, it is ideals such as these that make me feel MGS is the unquestionably, premier top golf forum, and am proud to take part. Great discussions about golf issues, and superior reporting. No better place to learn and grow as a golfer. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  25. A man is trying to cross the border on a bicycle with two bags containing sand. Guy gets to the border, border agent says, “We have to check to see if your smuggling anything”. Agents open the bags, full of sand and let the guy cross. The guy shows up every day that week, on a bicycle with two bags of sand. Each day the agents open up the bags and find sand. At the end of the week, one of the agents is on break in a cafe, sees the same guy on a bicycle with the bags of sand. The agent stops and confronts the guy. “Hey mister, I've been watching you all week, crossing the border and I know your smuggling something, i won't tell a soul, it's been driving me crazy, what are you smuggling”? The guy says, “Bicycles”. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
