  3. Gankas works with a lot of tour players as well as some of the top amateurs in the world. His stats as a teaching pro go way beyond Matt Wolff. The number of champions in his stable is very impressive. He is known for building speed in the swing along with consistency. The novice golf fan most likely has heard of him because of Matt and his unusual swing; however as another poster said before, he’s also worked with Adam Scott. Adam has one of the most beautiful swings in golf. Adam came to him looking for more horsepower as did Padraig Harrington. Paddy is closer to the senior tour than the PGA tour and has gotten back to 120mph swing speed. I’ve studied the swing a lot and I’m biased but do believe that GG will be a very relevant coach for many more years.
  4. Agreed 100%. Fundamentally most teachers are teaching the same baseline ideals. Rotation, compression, extension etc. with slight variations. The importance in self discovery is trying a variety of methods from as many resources as you can. You end up understanding the nuances better as well as what concepts you believe in.
  5. Update.....his new website goes live the end of the month. I’ve heard it will be $49 per month.
  6. His players absolutely do his leg work as did some of the best in golf like Snead and hogan. The swing moves faster than the eye can see all the subtleties of the leg work. Of course as mentioned before the practice is an exaggeration of the final product but that is to engrain movement patterns. The more you watch and understand his method the more you will appreciate the concepts and actually how “traditional” they really are. They are built for speed and consistency.
  7. 100% yes. He is the best that ever lived. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  8. I think he will be fine. He is really a great long hitter and good putter. His wedge game is probably the most underdeveloped he has in his bag; however, it’s pretty darn good. He has all the speed in the world to hit the ball high to tucked pins. I hope he tears it up. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  9. Really interested to hear how it goes. I am looking forward to the website and am an early subscriber. I hope it launches soon. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  10. Been looking through his YouTube videos and the results are amazing. Looking forward to his new website launch. Anyone else out there a disciple of George and if so curious about your journey with his philosophies. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  11. You're most likely either delofting the club too much or have the ball to far back in your stance. Hard to tell for sure without video. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  12. Yup I'm a fan and former player. Long time ago was on the national team pool of players and played in Europe. Now golf takes my passion. I'll watch EPL and World Cup. Team is Tottenham for EPL. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  13. How did you get your club to ok it? I'd love to get one for myself. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  14. Switched from ProV1x to a Vice Pro Plus. Love the ball. Better performance spinning the ball around the greens. My irons seem to be slightly longer when compressed well and no loss off the driver. Highly recommend the Vice. Only drawback is they can scuff really easy. I'll hit a hard spinny wedge and have cuts all over the ball. Only counterbalance is they are such a good deal that I don't min playing one round or so per ball. I usually order 5 dozen at a time and the pricing is around $25 per dozen at that amount. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  15. Fourteen Wedges in 52,56 and 60. New set of TE forged 3-PW with KBS FLT shafts in 120g. Can't wait for Saturday! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  16. I really think this is a very interesting debate and should be a test. It may be magic, science or a placebo. I will tell you that after having my driver shaft pured I just got a new set of sticks and had the entire set pured. It cost me $108 total to have the KBS FLT shafts pured 3-PW. I took a chance. The specs are pretty interesting. Most shafts were improved by around 50%-72% for the oscillation. As for a previous post saying logo up and all the logos were in the same place, I believe they applied the stickers after the Pureing of the shafts. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  17. I've been a mizzy junkie and love their feel. I also have a set of Ben hogan ft15 irons too. They also feel great. Lately I've been tinkering in the garage with some of the Maltby products and have to say they are on par with anything I've ever hit. Once you get past the "Is this a legit iron or company", which it is, you will be very pleased. They have seemed to blend classic looks with ultimate forgiveness. I'm in the process of ordering the TE Forged iron which has a shorter blade length and is a totally forged cavity back. I'm going to pair it with the KBS FLTD shafts and expect to pay just under $400 for the entire set 3-PW. If you're just trying stuff, I'd recommend that. If you want to stick to the big guys, I recommend Mizuno. Happy to answer any questions do you guys. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

  20. I spined my driver shaft and it's made a huge difference. I feel more stable and that has aided in confidence for me. I can swing and not worry about the dreaded duck hook. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  21. Just got some Vice Pro + balls in today. Also got two graphite shafts and two heads from Golfworks to assemble for my dad. Testing to see if we can get him more distance and control. Testing tomorrow and the clubs are curing now. Also got Mizuno Thermal winter gloves. Can't wait to use those when it gets colder! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  22. I'm looking forward to seeing what Mizuno will do in 2017. I love their irons and with Nike going away, I wonder if they pick up someone huge to play their stuff. I would love to see another variation of the mp5 with maybe a touch of multi material in the long irons to make them slightly more forgiving. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  23. Golf works is an awesome place to learn about shafts and purchase components to put together. Look at Arthur Extreme shafts aka AXE. Robin Arthur is a legend in the shaft world and has designed for many of the major shaft companies. He has countless $$$$ shafts that he's developed over the years. He's started his own company now and like Dean Snell is disrupting the industry. His AXE shafts are every bit as good as the higher end stuff although he does it at minimal cost to the consumer. I put a new driver shaft in play that is extremely low torque - sub 3 and the entire set up was under $75 to get the shaft, own component and pured the shaft. Driver is much more stable now and I can swing at the ball without worry of the shaft reacting too much and duck hooking the hell out of the ball. Hope this helps. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  24. Ok so I've tried them out and here is my verdict. It's a good ball. For my game not great, not optimal, good. The ball does feel nice off the club and putters and is very much like a ProV1. I got good spin from it and my distance was a little shorter than normal. I would attribute this to more spin than my usual ball. Comparing this to the Snell MTB, I prefer Snell. The Snell felt just as good and has the same spin from the wedge but the rest of the bag is longer than the Vice. The Vice wins for their marketing design and logo. That's the one thing about Snell I don't like. It's got to be the ugliest logo in golf on a ball. I'm happy to answer any specific questions from anyone interested in the performance of either ball.
