I am currently gaming P790 irons with Dynamic Gold S300 105 shafts. I have increased my swing speed significantly this off season and it was recommended that I look at a heavier shaft in the S300. On the launch monitor I was swinging my 7 iron 99 mph with my current club. Could someone tell me the difference in ball flight and weights for these 3? Any recommendations? thanks for your help.

I was just curious as to what has the most influence on the spin off the driver? If you take a low spin driver and use a high spinning ball like a Kirkland V2, would the driver you use mitigate the effects of having a ball that has so much spin?

You would definitely standout with those but I don’t think my game can keep up so I would probably pass lol.

Thanks for that video, it's made me even more excited for the courses to finally open up here. I purchased a BGT Tour 2 to put in my Scotty Special Seclect Newport 2 and really want to see for myself if it makes a difference. Can't wait to be able to share my findings. Hopefully get the same results as @McGolf

On muddy days, I think I will be wearing another pair.

I just picked up the G/Fore Gallivanters and they are gorgeous. I think what’s even better is how comfy they are. Been wearing them around the house all day and the cushioning in the insole, although it feels weird, it’s super comfortable. It also has great looking traction so it should perform as well as it looks, hopefully. Just wanted to share my first impressions. cheers.

When I was at the launch monitor the only data I was tracking was the carry and total distance. I think I will have to head back and check out those numbers. thanks.

Thanks - my "old irons" were Srixon Z585 that I had for a year but couldn't hit. It's good to know that the launch monitor probably has receptive greens built in. For my yardages, I didn't write down ball speed but I was getting 7i - 163 carry and total; 8i - 153 carry 155 total; 9i - 138 c 139 t; PW - 121 c 122 t. I guess I will really find out when the club opens up and I can get on the course. Thanks for the info.

I just switched to new Irons and was looking to try and figure out my distances relative to my previous irons. I used the Arccos Caddie last year so I have a good idea what I hit for total yards with my old irons. I took the new irons to the launch monitor to try and get my average carry and total yards for my new irons. For my 7-PW I had virtually no difference between the carry and total yardage. Is this a good thing? Should I be hoping for a bit of roll on my 7 or 8? For my 9 or PW I can see that I want it to stop - am I reading too much into this and need to just use the information and make an informed decision when I take my shot. Thanks for any feedback

Thanks. I ended up getting the DG Shafts on the 2019 P790's I picked up and the ball flight on the sim seemed to fit for me. Now if the snow would just leave so we could get on the course! Cheers
