  1. Yeah... I'm slowly learning what a putter ho is... not quite there, but while in the hospital waiting for my wife to go into labor I bought two putters... because why not right? Oh... and I bought a set of TaylorMade Rsi 2 irons... though Dave has me a bit jealous of his new Nike irons (there are some GREAT irons out there this year)
  2. The pumb bob has never made sense for me.... Took an aim point class a couple months back and it's the first time I've ever had confidence and/or consistency in my reads and outcomes while putting. http://www.aimpointgolf.com Hunter has been rocking the express read
  3. Bones - don't wanna hijack this thread so started a new thread here
  4. Had a great discussion with a golf course owner in Nevada about discount golf and his views that it's killing the industry. I didn't have the hard to tell him that I don't pay full price for rounds and if a place doesn't offer discounts I don't normally play there unless it's a MUST PLAY track (I got into golf after the start of the discount wars, so it's what I expect) Now I just need to show this article to my wife so she can understand that $80 is considered bargain golf
  5. video resizing is WAY more time consuming and mind numbing than still images - I need a triple IPA badly

  6. Sad I missed this before, I'm up in that area a few times a year - hit me up with your contact info and I'll get in touch next time.
  7. Anyone happen to be in the Palm Springs region Monday or Tuesday and wanna get out for a round at 7 a.m.? hit me up

  8. MGS is feeding me ads for Coach bags in the banner... umm... yes, I was searching for a new coach wallet last week ;-)

you should probably keep this sort of stuff to yourself.

  9. most inspiring intro - was in Vancouver once for a week and almost convinced myself I need to move there, BEAUTIFUL area!!!! Welcome
  10. I mix it up - some rounds no drinking, some rounds more than I should, some just one - some with a cigar, some with both a cigar and a drink. I've found it just depends on my round for that day and who I'm playing with. Some rounds are purely social with friends - those tend to result in more drinks. I'm ok with one drink any round, more than that requires me not caring as much about the round. Smoking a cigar can really mess up my game, but if I'm just out for a social round, it's not so bad.
  11. good stuff - it's important to be respectful of others on the course.... that said - I've been on an empty course with my buddy and we've put music up on our iphones during our round - I actually really enjoyed it, and it helped me focus a bit. At my recent Cobra Puma fitting, they were bumping music the entire time, and it honestly helped put me at ease and added some atmosphere to things. I'm going to guess the biggest problem with music on the course is finding something everyone can agree on! But yeah, if I was out for a normal round by myself, and someone else was blaring their music, I'd be irritated - that, or I'd turn on my own tunes on my iphone and blast back at them. I LOVE the idea of the personal golf cart with stereo and evening tournament with beers and music - I could get into that.
  12. I'm inspired, checking this out now
  13. Played my new Radius putter today - sunk significantly more 1 putts than normal!

crap, I'm slow, didn't see these comments til tonight.

still striking with the titleists and LOVING them. (the Taylormades jumped in the bag for 3 rounds and were quickly back out)

Can't wait to break 80!! I can see how, but just can't quite pull it together yet.

  15. Wow... solid review, and shocking at the same time. Mostly shocking because I've had a Little One in my lineup for a while now, I had taken it out twice to begin a review, but each time I felt I wasn't being subjective enough, or maybe I was missing the point because I really believed it was going to be a magical training aid and make me feel like I could make more solid contact with ease, and each time I pulled it out, I didn't see improvement at all. Totally agree, I hit the Little One with ease, while still struggled with my own clubs all the same as before. Stoked that you took the time to follow through and really test this guy out. Thanks for sharing your results and verifying what I'd felt like I was seeing but couldn't admit to being reality.
  16. no joke! I'd be worried that the first step on grass would ruin the beauty. those things are amazing!
  17. ninetails... totally agree. feel like the rep got maybe a bit emotional? having a teaching pro review something and making clear statements is extremely telling.
  18. really really need to get out the door and golf today, but keep being held up by work (and then reading MGS!)

LOL...go hit some balls Tim. I got your email...send you something soon.

  19. Great review Matt. Another reason I love reading your reviews, you THOROUGHLY test things! One of the reasons I like MGS, real reviews. We don't get paid to say nice fluffy things, but rather to give honest feedback.
  20. Funny, I'd looked at their site before, and the only price I saw was the 14x20 price, and I immediately turned the other direction. Seeing something as you said, in the range of a new driver, this starts to suddenly make a lot more sense. Great review!!
