  1. The wind and adverse weather on Long Island was something that I forgot about during my three years in Virginia. Up until March of this year I had not played a round of golf in NY in over two years. I more than likely won’t play a round of golf in NY in normal conditions for at least another month but at least I am getting to play some golf so there is that. The comment on indoor fitting is accurate and I refuse to be fit completely indoors. My golf buddies just call me stubborn and stuck in my ways but the data is only helpful if the equipment can perform on the course.
  2. A bit of a complex answer so bear with me. From a shear workability standpoint of curving the ball right and left it is hands down the TSR3. I have a drive that I like to hit that is a flat going draw that is next to impossible to hit with the Qi10 LS. I effectively have to smother the ball to do it and with the Qi10 LS that ball is not getting airborne. Now on the plus side that shot with the Qi10 is just essentially a draw which takes some trust for me to hit but can still do it with a change in mindset. Now from a flight window perspective the Qi10 wins hands down. I now realize that I like have a driver that I have to I elevate rather than a driver that I have to knock down in the wind. Simply just using tee height and ball position allow me to control tee shot height. The TSR3 to me is a more neutral driver overall and just easier to work the ball left and right but for me harder to hit low. The Qi10 starts with a lower flight with close to 20 feet less of peak height as compare to the TSR3. For reference I played my TSR3 lofted down .75* and 1* upright with the weight one notch towards the heel.
  3. Thanks and it was change of mindset. I was looking for something different than what I was getting while what I was getting was good. Looking forward to playing this driver when it is not cold, high winds and a wet golf course.
  4. Today was a battle to say the least. Cold and 25 mph sustained winds with gusts near 50 mph. Will say the two bright spots in my bag were the driver and the putter with honorable mention to my 3 wood. Final review will be up tomorrow but today was confirmation of one of the best features of the Qi10 LS.
  5. Just finished a round in possibly the most wind I have ever played in. Sustained at 25 to 30 and gusts near 50. It was a battle but thanks to making some putts I got in with 75. I hit a wedge downwind into a par 3 from 192 and on the next hole I hit driver, 5 wood and wedge to a 328 yard hole. The driver went 190 dead into the wind. It was not the most enjoyable round of golf to say the least.
  6. Well he was in fact using the LS. https://golf.com/gear/the-masters-2024-nicklaus-player-watson-honorary/?amp=1
  7. I wish my wife got a picture of this but she didn’t. My St. Bernard likes to be outside in the yard a lot. When the weather is nice I just open the sliding door and let him come in and out as much as he wants to. Well today I was home working in my office and let him out and for about two hours I could hear him coming in and out several times, nothing out of the ordinary. My wife got home and was in the family room and noticed all his toys were gone. Comes into my office to ask me if I moved them and well the answer was no. She goes out in the yard and he took about 10 of his toys out in the yard and had them in a circle around him while he lounged in the sun. Not playing with them just brought them out to sit with him outside. Oh and his other new skill is trying to dig a tunnel under my fence to visit the dog next door. The dog next door is a 220 lb. Mastiff so it is gonna be a big tunnel. This dog is going to be the death of me, but he is really a good boy some times.
  8. No idea on model but would assume it is not the LS Story from last year on how little he now plays. https://www.palmbeachpost.com/story/sports/pga/2023/10/31/jack-nicklaus-has-not-swung-a-golf-club-since-tee-shot-at-the-masters/71383715007/
  9. For anyone that may have missed the opening tee shot ceremony at the Master’s Jack was rocking a Qi10 on the first tee.
  10. Got out an hit about 10 balls yesterday and then shut it down. Apparently I am too old for long car rides and I need a week to recover. Hoping that I will still be able to play on Saturday but it is not looking good right now.
  11. Actually both. Will have some sponsorship at the tracks and more importantly an anchor sponsor for a car. Going through the process now of marking up the design for the car, team shirts and a fire suit.
  12. Hoping to sign the contract today to lock in a sponsorship for Dover, Pocono, Richmond and Daytona in the Cup series. Just got the first rendering of the car from our creative team and it is pretty cool. Had to pivot off of Charlotte but it all worked out and have an option for a few end of year races at a decent discount. Some days at work are more fun than other days.
