  1. What is the current stock shaft doing that isn't allowing you to get the performance you want out of it? Graphite iron shaft will likely be too short, but I haven't looked into the stock lengths. Also there is the possibility of size issues for compatiblity.
  2. Blades are a wonderful thing like that. They give immediate feedback for better or worse. That said I'm sure with a bit more practice they will fall into a groove!
  3. While I have never owned one so my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt I think I would look at others before going to a Scotty. Im sure they are great, but spending that much so feel like I can go down other options and be just as happy.
  4. If it's me I'm going with the 699. Nothing against Takomo, but having used the 101 they are just too big with too much offset for my liking. 699 have just a slightly more appealing profile to me.
  5. A big criticism of stealth was the face and some wear (not talking about breaking) - anything with this or are they looking like new still?
  6. Can't believe I missed this thread! Great looking bag and congrats on the new sticks. Excited to hear more about how they work for you.
  7. It's been an adventure because of the formatting they work for some platforms and not others. May have nearly cracked it tho!
  8. Awesome these are arriving! Excited to hear how you all find they perform across the board!
  9. Rob mentioned that to us! Really cool. The whole HQ team do so much hard work it's great to see they are getting the appropriate shoutouts.
  10. I went based off a friends recommendation. It worked out well and got a couple lessons. I had a good discussion prior for what I was looking for he said how he could help and yeah, from there we had a good understanding and mutual trust. Plan on going back soon for a few lessons to get things in order to start on the season.
  11. If LA golf is cutting back I wonder what that means for their product cycle. Do they push and try to release more new products in an effort to create a bigger splash and grab more attention or work with what you have and stabilize for a little while and then make a push for new equipment.
  12. I did some head to head testing with an Autoflex Dream 7. Have to admit that the dream did outperform the Newton, but it is in a sight class I prefer. I think if Newton ever lowers the weight of the 4 or 5 dot options they would be much more in line with what by swing prefers.
  13. People are going to watch the Olympics no matter what. Regardless of who is playing or participating. We don't know the names of hundreds or thousands of athletes participating in the various sports but still watch.
  14. There is one simple philosophy that rules all. It is impossible to please everybody - so try to cater to as many as you can. Not everyone will be please but providing options will at least put some power in their hands to consume the content they want to. Our newsletter has grown from 38,000 to over 60,000 since Bryan and I took full reign and we get a handful of please unsubscribe me each week, but considering the thousands that continue to join each month I think we are doing a good job!
  15. Little fun fact - this thread is a little over a year or so old and it has compiled over 18 thousand responses and amazingly had over 610,000 views... Wild.
  16. I have been hard at working updating our newsletter and am in the final few stages and iterations of getting this thing off the ground. The change will do away with what we have had as Bulk Mail - A blank slate that is sent to the masses with 3 distinct Newsletters which members can toggle to receive or not. The first will be the standard MyGolfSpy Forum Trending Newsletter. This will be a Monday, Wednesday Friday push and highlight threads, VCT and all the other goings on during the week. Replaced will be more personalized message with photos and some other hand picked content that should help highlight the forum a little better than the near automated version we currently have. Second is the Testers Wanted Newsletter - This will be a Tuesday Thursday/Saturday Newsletter. It will have our Testers Announced content on Tuesdays along with a few on going member tests and final reviews highlighted. Thursday and Saturdays will highlight the new Testers Wanted that we have going out. On weeks there are no Testers Wanted there will be no email. We will once again highlight a few threads and on-going tests so you are up to date on all the tests that are in progress. Last will be the Sunday Finds - Same deal as the normal. We will highlight 5 different deals for you to check out. Short and sweet! The nice part will be everyone is able to toggle there preferences of what emails they wish to receive and what ones they don't. Want to get basically an update per day from us? Then you can keep them all coming! Only interested in testing? Simple, just toggle off the others and keep the Testers going! You can find all of these settings in your profile settings. These show several of the ones I have been working on and will be reduced to 3 once we are completed!
  17. For all those who have done an Edel fitting - do you think other OEMs or companies should look at this process more closely and try to resemble it in some form or fashion? Do you think consumers in general would benefit from that?
  18. So I may be a full star grip convert. Despite the initial feel of them being a little more like the standard tour velvet they have great tact and grip. This was especially noticable when I was inside during a sim round and the place was hot. For those that haven't checked then out I would highly recommend they do!
  19. Any spies maybe able to help? Be able to ship @Jean D these if he buys them to your place?
  20. Daily deal that we are running as a forum exclusive with RUNNER Get 10% a putter with code MGSFORUM24
  21. Also big shout-out to Hayes and Mark for all their efforts. We have seen a huge surge of new followers and are needing the 10k follower mark. We may even be working on something special for that!
  22. Welcome to the forum! Definitely know mine, although with new wedge lofts I am doing some tweaking of lofts to get things in order and the proper gapping. The larger gaps you have, how do you manage those? Impressive distance!
  23. Time change finally happened here. Now I'm back on normal time with all of you. Another relaxing day here but may try to get a virtual round in... Course suggestions?
  24. Started my Stack training today and am really excited about it. Had numbers to match @GolfSpy BOS which was kinds freaky, but overall really happy with day 1. I have definitely lost speed since stopping super speed and since I have a friend using that kit stack was a perfect change. More to come!
  25. I've been thinking about this topic more today and realizing despite trying other newer 3 woods and having small honeymoon periods I still just can't get enough of the F7. I know it's old but it works and world really well. Could save you a bunch and at least I feel it's truly a stellar option!
