  1. Happy Sunday morning all! Quick shift at work then hit the course for some practice and get some new photos for the WITB. Hope everyone has a great day!
  2. First comment I have read this morning and was the perfect way to start the day!
  3. Oh we know Rob! Never had a doubt with you. I was more referencing to many who we don't see anymore. Members who were long time contributors and now have moved on to just tagging me relentlessly in social posts lol Again to each their own! Nothing wrong with that and good on them for getting those prizes. You and so many others know the work it takes for a review. It's not a prize, it is a part time job! I also look at it like this - I got a putter to test (Odyssey) it was valued at $400 so now I need to make sure I provide at least $500 worth of content. That meant a lot of posts and responses and more. If we give someone a $600 driver and they only post 20 times... Do those posts equal $30 per? Maybe, but they better be big thorough posts. This is all of course during testing. I would prefer to see near 60 posts and updates or thoughts during then to make it closer to the $10 range. Pretty sure @GolfSpy_KFT made 500 posts in the Cobra thread for his full bag. It's not necessarily how we look at it, but it's something to consider.
  4. I wonder what my next project should be... Maybe rebuild the 659 TC...
  5. What type of golfer are you in terms of spin? High, low, mid? I'm a high spin player especially with irons so I usually look to for low spin balls. However I play with plenty that need more spin. Check out the new Callaway Chrome Tour X and new TP5 or Maxfli Tour series. All are new and could be your answer. Bridgestone would be the other that's a near must check out as they are know for providing spin!
  6. PVD finishes normally don't have a long long lasting finish. It is usually the DPD (I think that is what it is called) that is more ingrained in the metal vs a cover. Unfortunately no matter what all finishes fade to some extent. Cleaning and being absolutely picky about it all will help it last longer.
  7. Classifieds are back up and running. Community Map may or may not be coming back. That is more a TBD thing. Apologies to all for the delay with the Classifieds. Was a journey to say the least, but happy it is back up and running!
  8. Haven't actually purchased much so far this season. However that is about to change and have a few things on order which I am excited about. Net is being put back up tomorrow for the new house and hopefully going to start some new testing! Will be sharing a little bit soon enough!
  9. Look at the Maxfli Tour series. Great balls at a far better price.
  10. @Jim Shaw taking a quick step back. Try not to think about the hard core golfer or golfers involved on the forum. Think about the casual fan (kinda like your niece and nephew). Why would they have reason to tune in and watch golf if a lot of who are considered the big names or best in golf are split? DJ and Bryson are huge names and they have to be watched on the CW or app in a shotgun start so the overall story of what is happening is far more difficult to tell or follow. Not to mention commercial loads for both LIV and PGA Tour are brutal at best. Heading over the PGA Tour they often switch between this app, platform, channel or something else. Then while we still get great new stories from unknown names, they are not what draw sponsors or larger views because it is the big names with the big sponsor money that draw more attention. Who would most rather watch number 155 in the world or an known name and commodity? Even looking at the winners this year on the PGA Tour while good stories, not big names. The hardcore fans are going to watch no matter what, its why they get that name. The casual fan however has more reasons to turn it off than to make a reason to watch.
  11. All of this... Hackmotion has one as well. However in testing it has been a bit hit and miss. There were some recent updates which apparently has helped make some improvements so I will see what has happened there.
  12. The word fun with all of this is not what I would say. Exhausting and disappointing. The availability of the media to be consumed I don't think should be mistook for the whether people are enjoying or wanting to watch. Golf is available on a lot more platforms and areas to be viewed. That is true and sure ratings may be up or down depending on whatever stat you want to see or look at. I won't be the one to argue that. I can only say from the sentiments that I have received about pro golf from a distance here and who I talk to is that unless it is a major most don't care nearly as much as they used to.
  13. Exactly this. Many just want to be given free stuff. In fact we have actually lost members due to all the free no obligation stuff that gets given away on socials. They now just spend their time trying to win there, rather than interacting here. Which is fine! To each their own, but we are also acutely aware of that when we see certain names on the testers wanted signups. We lay out what we want or look for pretty clearly. We post it often enough that it should ... ugh ... should be easy enough to find and follow. However it may just take a little effort in order for us to trust people with hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of equipment. Of course I say all of this and you know all of this already!
  14. My favorite is my 58 PING Glide 2.0 with the eye sole.
  15. We share this thread constantly, and will continue to do so. We want to select new people for testing. Why? Because it is a lot of fun and we want to share in the journey and experience with more members of our fantastic community. How can you best get noticed? Unofficial reviews of whatever product you have is a great start! Make a WIYB (Whats in Your Bag) post and share whats in your bag, post some photos and a little about the why of your golf bag! Introduce yourself! These are not random selections, these are hand picks made by the forum staff and we truly want to get as many members and golfers involved as possible! If you have questions feel free to reach out to me or any of the other forum staff!
  16. Now that so many have told us why they should be a tester, did you know that there is a full guide on how to essentially guarantee a selection this season? It doesn't take much and we only ask for some basic things to help us not only get to know you a little better, but also have further trust that our community will get the best review possible! Here you go! You can thank me later!

  18. Had a good few practice sessions with these wedges recently. I may have slightly goofed on the length of the 60 a little bit (made it a slight bit long). Outside of that the really perform well. They are a true bladed wedge and are therefore not the most forgiving, but the feedback and is super! Performance has been really solid as well. The one key important area I have not really had time to try and test yet is in bunkers. That will likely end up being the true tipping point if they stay for longer. We have a lot of bunkers and I need that confidence out of them. It is why the Mizuno S23 wedges didn't last!
  19. I know I said I would do a full breakdown and update, but am waiting on one or two things to come into place. Shouldn't be long!
  20. The Paradym TD is still going strong. I really love the head, feel, shape and more. It is a great fit for me, but I am toying with what shaft to use. It is all part of the puzzle and has been a fun experiment. Have a friend who works at a shop that has a few exotic shafts which I am going to head over to and try. Maybe I can find one that is the be all end all!
  21. Looks great @GolfSpy_BNG! Hopefully it rolls just as well as it looks.
  22. My key - go with the flow! Just try to make good contact and great strikes.
