  4. My wife and I went to St. Lucia for ours. Went to a sandals resort (think it was sandals la toc) which has a golf course and a spa (perfect spot). There were lots of extra things to do such as sight seeing trips and activities which were amazing as well. Definitely highly recommended we loved the trip and have a ton of great memories from it. It cost us about 4 cdn but we didn't pay for flights. If you have any questions fire away! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  5. I am slightly closed. For whatever reason it's how I set up and feel most comfortable. This is true for nearly all my irons and woods. I feel as though I'm lined up square but I'm really a bit closed. I've tried to open up a bit, but it feels really wrong and my shots go all over so until I get a new lesson I'll stay with what I have. On pitch shots I swing much better in a open stance and find it much more consistent. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

  7. One of the benefits I've found this year playing the same course a lot is trying to tactics and seeing what has played best. That and it adds to the variety of playing the same course. Also the weather here has changed dramatically so my 150 club is now 2 clubs fewer then it was in the beginning of May. Certain holes I've continually struggled on I've taken several approaches and am finally figuring out how best to attack the hole. Example being #14 which is a long 90 degree left turn with a up hill tee shot. Total yardage is 392, but after a solid tee shot we are normally 180-230 out depending on where you are in your landing spot after the tee shot. That's a long second into a green that plays up at the front and falls away nearing the back. Anyways fun and very challenging hole where most here consider it a or 5. Yes it's very hard to cut the corner! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  8. We had a really wet May here and I found I was doing the same. For me I just put the ball back a bit in my stance and really made sure to get good ball contact and take any early ground contact out of play. I know you're suppose to hit ball then turf but being a 13 handicap misshits happen. All that being said it did also help me learn to shallow out my swing! Now that it's dried up here my games really improved! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  9. Looks great. Definitely tempted to look into it more. I'm sure I'm not the only one, but the weight system reminds me of pxg. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  10. This was one of the reasons I joined the course I did this year. Many courses in the area it's driver off the tee on all par 4/5s and whatever iron for the par 3s. Where as at my new home course I take a little bit of everything...Driver on maybe 5-6 holes, 3 wood on another 3-4 holes and then a few 4/5 irons depending on wind for the rest of the par 4s. Wind does play a huge part as it can really make life difficult on some holes. I'm sure I could get greedy and take driver on more and go for broke, but I've found leaving myself a solid 110 yards out is my comfort spot so I pick a iron off the tee to get myself to that spot. 12. Definitely bring on the tough course. I know with my skill level I wouldn't shoot great, but having the experience of playing a really difficult course would be great. That and the next time around the course it would be great to see where I could pick up some shots by just having played the course before. I've said this before, but I enjoy golfing way too much to get frustrated even when having a bad day or round so bring it on! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  13. I wonder if the course designee will be easier for PS4. I loved that aspect of it, but really struggled with it on PS4 and I heard PC as you could imagine was much easier. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

I saw a lot of mixed reactions with how it looks but personally I love how it looks. I won't be changing drivers anytime soon, but I will definitely be giving it a try at the shop when it comes out. It has such a simple look to it and would love to see the top of the club and how it sits behind the ball.
  15. It's insane how far he can hit it. I love my 3 wood and couldn't imagine not having it in the bag. He sounded so happy like a little kid talking about his favourite toy when the reporter asked him about it. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

  17. For me I would design a course that is fair and challenging. A course that has great variety in the holes and makes a player think about each shot. Personally the course I am a member at is exactly that. There are such a great variety and many holes force me to take a club other then driver. I love courses that give you that risk reward on tee shots where you could pull out the big stick, but the smart play is a 3 wood or iron off the tee to position yourself well for the next shot. 18. I don't generally mark mine. The group I play with all use titleist/Nike/Callaway and I use taylormade or srixon so I've never had the need to mark it. My father puts his fancy signature on it mainly because he plays a ton of different balls and could grab any brand out of his bag at any time. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  19. Interesting day today at the course. We normally have a lot of walkers of all ages as the course isn't that long and there are only a few hills which I would consider a climb. I've only walked the course and find it a good walk. All that being said it was a nice day and the weather started to get hot for here and absolutely everyone took a cart and avoided having to walk. Even ppl finishing 9 were coming in asking for a cart. For reference it was 24C so 76F. Does anyone else find weather plays a big part in whether they take a cart or not? Or what is too hot for walking? Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

  21. Now that I'm striking the ball much better on a consistent basis I'm having to relearn my distances for my irons. That and now that it's warmer the ball is travelling a lot further. Been a fun and frustrating challenge to sort out as it makes the course feel different. So off to the range and see how everything is flying! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

  24. For me this is a very interesting topic as it's a part of my bag I'm still figuring it out and am constantly switching around. Currently I have my Ping i Iron 45* and 50* which aren't going anywhere as they feel great and work wonderfully. Then I'm carrying a 56* cobra tour trusty rusty. It's so far helped because I don't have as much indecision in club choice and I've just been adjusting my swing. So 85ish yards in I will use the 56 unless I want some roll out. 85+ to 120ish I'll use the 50*. All that being said I could switch it all around to a 54/58 but for now I'll stick with what's working(ish) Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
