  1. After more 3 putts this round then I can count in the last goodness knows how long the putter is on the block... or maybe it knew that I got the shipping notice for my LAB Mezz Max...
  2. Was able to mark another hole off the list and it was 2nd hardest hole on the course! Also hadn't updated in a while so I have the hardest hole and 4th hardest hole also knocked off. Unfortunately the par 3s are killing me so far and just not making much headway there...
  3. Date 06/01/2023 Course Name Otelfingen Gross Score 89 Course Handicap 11 Gross Strokes over/under par 17 Net Score to Par 6 Net Score 78 Net Birdies or better 3 Longest Drive 286 Had a fun round with little in the way of results to show for it. Made 2 good pars to start the round before an awful double on a not so hard par 5. Just one of those rounds where couldn't quite get everything going and in truth a lack of sleep played a big role as well. Either way fun to get out there and play as I am in my final few rounds before the baby comes and then there wont be much golf for a little while!
  4. Date 05/29/2023 Course Name Oberkirch Gross Score 92 Course Handicap 14 Gross Strokes over/under par 21 Net Score to Par 7 Net Score 78 Net Birdies or better 2 Longest Drive 303 Had a match and stroke play against a friend who is around the same handicap as me. I won the first 9 holes 4 up, but it was nothing to be proud of. The greens at this course are lightening fast. Like putting on concrete and took a lot to get use to. Driver was stellar and just really solid, but apparently I forgot how to hit my irons which was frustrating. first 2 holes great off the 2 and managed lost balls on the approach. Back 9 was far better and the final 5 holes I played 1 over, however the round was as a whole pretty brutal. The course is stupid difficult with 4 foot high grass for rough which means any ball close is a gonner. Won the back 9 1 up, which was nice we had a better back 9 and made it more interesting. Fun round and cant wait to go back as this course can be getable, just wasnt our day!
  5. Date 06/01/2023 Course Name Otelfingen Gross Score 81 Course Handicap 11 Gross Strokes over/under par 9 Net Score to Par -2 Net Score 70 Net Birdies or better 5 Longest Drive 297 If only I could putt! Was a decent round with a lovely couple I had never met before. Quick recap is the driver was fair. Long... all the drives connected well and had 2 that peeled off left for penalties. Putter was ice cold and I dont remember the last time I missed so many 5-6 footers. Normally I am close to automatic, but not today. Maybe because I got my shipping notice for my LAB putter? Anyway made 2 nice birdies. One on the 2nd hardest hole on the course and another just missed an long range eagle putt, but happy with a birdie there. A great 2 putter par on the hardest hole on the course. However again I dont remember the last time I had more than a single 3 putt in a round. I am pretty sure I had 3 or 4 this round. Was just ugly. Good par on the last hole to end the day after nearly chipping in. Fun day fun round!
  6. Good writeup thanks for sharing! I have the 3.5 and the thing is a tank. Like an old 4runner not sure if the thing will ever breakdown.
  7. Solid looking lineup! A few underdogs I'm looking forward to seeing the results of.
  8. It sucks if and when it does happen. It does not happen often. That is for sure and we are very upfront with our expectations for all testers. We do our best to get new members involved, because well I like seeing new members involved in testing. It is fun, exciting and their level of nervousness and enthusiasm is contagious and they often do a stellar job.
  9. Piggybacking off @Golfspy_CG2 are drivers costing too much or are golfers getting fed up with prices I have a few follow ups that kinda relate. 1. In your opinion where will golfers find the best value for their money? Ie clubs, golf balls, accessories (gps, rangefinder etc) 2. Realistically will we see DTC drivers truly compete with the big boys from a data perspective? Market share will forever be a struggle. 3. Golf balls also seem to be trending upwards too. Do you feel there is a reasonable cap for how much a dozen balls should cost?
  10. I think this is worth mentioning as we have had a few tests completed and more coming in the next week or so. All tests are graded. We take into account not just the review itself, but the overall participation with the thread over the testing period and the timeliness of meeting deadlines. We are pretty fair when it comes to grades and new for this year we are actually sending testers a quick survey to complete which is to help us get better at what we are doing as well. It also asks testers to give themselves a grade or evaluate how they feel they did. Now the important part of all this. If someone fails to complete a review or is consistently late on providing updates, replies or completing the review and is given a shotty grade (1 or even 2 out of 5) the chances of them getting another review anytime soon if at all are slim to none. To be frank, we put a lot of care into our selection and the OEMs trust us to make these selections appropriately. If someone bails, does just a trash job or just fails to complete the review it not only looks bad on them, but also us as Forum Staff and MGS. It sucks for the community and everyone involved in testing when this happens. In the end we have too many stellar members, too many new members coming into proving their worth and value to the community to select anyone again who has had a bad grade on testing or just gone mia. We as Forum Staff are very understanding and lenient to family situation, life situations and whatever else is happening to make accommodations when necessary, however when no communication happens and a null review happens it truly sucks and for us why should we risk that happening again for future reviews?
  11. Fully admit I haven't read the article yet, but saw it and was too excited to get it posted! Srixon is my favorite ball company and I can't wait to read these results! https://mygolfspy.com/labs/ball-lab-srixon-z-star-diamond-review-2023/
  12. Not upsetting at all. I honestly couldn't tell you the marketing stories or lines of anyone but maybe TaylorMade because they use funny words like fargaveness. Simply put I don't believe you are giving them enough credit making advancements year cycle of cycle and in their R&D. Again look at the ping i lineup and see how much improvement they made cycle over cycle, from feel, forgiveness and more. I expect the same with Titleist in these. Or maybe I am just an optimist?
  13. Tony mentions them in his article, but seems like they will truly be a small looks update with little else. Forget all the specifics, but he does mention them.
  14. Really going to continue to tow this line eh? 714 being 10 years old I would be surprised if there was no gains, not to mention isn't giving Titleist a lot of credit for the world and r&d that they do on their products. Kinda begs the question why you bothered to update your irons to the t100 series and didn't stay with ap2s?
  15. Hello all and of course good morning! I don't know about you, but I want to see more forum user content on the main site and a good way to do this is getting some questions into Askmygolfspy! Head over to this thread, ask a question and Tony will be checking and writing answers to these on the main site! https://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/59525-askmygolfspy/
  16. https://mygolfspy.com/news-opinion/first-look/rapsodo-mlm2-pro/ Check out this first look article! I'm certainly excited for this product being a user of the original, what do you think?
  17. If you are playing 9 hole rounds you would require 10 posted scores.
  18. I think this is the week for Cantlay. No idea why for sure, but seems like a week he is well setup for.
  19. Let's get some questions started and fired in here! I know we all have some. What do you think will be the biggest improvement to the T200 lineup?
  20. Going to be fun to see this as it should be starting sometime soon. With a few new balls like LAB and PXG having some newer names and contenders will make it interesting!
  21. Anyone else just really like how Titleist does the tour seeding? Seems to me at least it helps build hype, we see more and hear more about them without all the leaks and can get more early insights prior to being available.
  22. I would expect to see some of their products in Most Wanted testing. That would seem logical and likely, however not sure exactly what they would be providing and in what category. Forum Member Testing, unlikely. We have reached out to see if they would be interested, but we will have to wait and see if they get back to us.
  23. Do you mean for Most Wanted for for Forum Member Testing or Both?
  24. Let me check on this. There is some backend work being done by a dev which may have affected this.
  25. Sorry I am honestly a little confused about what you are trying to get at with the previous two posts. Seems like you don't really like the release because not much has changed, but also feel that cycle over cycle aesthetics play the biggest role vs performance. Even if performance gains were minimal between the releases they are still gains. Whether it is MOI, slight shaping or turf interactions all these little tiny factors add up and can make much greater improvements (Just look at the Ping i line from ie1 - i200 - i210 - i230). There seems to be true excitement around this release and I don't believe it is just for looks. As for the naming convention, truly couldn't careless. Names change, adapt and evolve over time. Maybe the 150 means something more than 100s maybe it is just the replacement. Either way we will have to wait a bit longer to hear the full story from Titleist. You are right in the T200 seems to be their biggest area for improvement, however if you read the article MGS just did on these (all speculation) however if Titleist went down the TM route and had the T200 be the P770 and the T350 be the P790 they may have really caught onto something that many regular golfers are looking for. As you said time will tell, but at least for me I won't assume anything about these irons till we see them in hand and hit them. For all we know Titleist could have some secret something tucked away in the heads which will all get us raving about their potential.
