That's great. I usually just tape the grip on the shaft when measuring SW instead of blowing it on to measure. Also, if you do not have a chop saw to cut the butt of the shafts, a pipe cutting tool works great. I still use mine when I am too lazy to setup my chop saw to cut 1 shaft.

I blow on grips when I am testing new grips all of the time. I put a piece of tape at the end of the grip and poke a hold through the middle with an inflation needle. Works great.

I like the +4 option in grips. I wish my current grip had that as a option. Instead, I build up the bottom of the grip with 4 layers of tape to get the same effect. I find that I have better touch on delicate wedge shots and I less grip pressure in my right. I wear an XL glove so the midsize +4 or built up option work will for me.

That is going to be an amazing build. You say you have everything, does that include tip weights?
I always dry fit everything first including blowing on the grips before gluing and taping anything down. I also do not use the tour epoxy when building a set so I have more time to fiddle, and can mix a larger batch. You will leave things to cure overnight anyway.
Good luck, and I am also looking forward to pics of the finished set.

I think I would be a great tester for MSG for three main reasons.
- I am an absolute gear head. I love everything that is golf related. Clubs, balls, shows, electronics, bags, carts. You name it, I love learning about it. I am interested in the material something is made out of, the manufacturing process, as well as researching the marketing claims vs. actual performance. I have started building my own clubs years ago so I could experiment with different shafts, grips, swing weights etc.
- I live in SoCal near a dozen courses so I have access to courses and ranges mostly year round.
- I just really really love golf and would represent the "average" golfer well. The opportunity to share some of my experiences with others would be amazing.

Great insight into how people are selected and the tracking that goes into each review. Bummer that there are those that get an opportunity and do not put in the time or do not submit a review at all.

I don't play too often so it does not bother me to pay for a premium ball.
My preference is the Prov1x. It has a consistent spin and approach distance that is the go to part of my game. That being said, I have also mixed it up with the TP5x balls I have been gifted this year. The TP5 balls are comparable but I just like the feel performance of the ProVs. If I start to play more, I would likely play the Vice Pro Plus. They are the closest, less expensive, alternative to the ProVs I have found.

Played in a Tournament last Oct. It started to rain so hard the course was flash flooding. A tree we were driving past as we drove back to the clubhouse got struck by lightning. Scary.

I had a test iron I built with one of he Nicklus Secret Grips, and I hit it great. I put a 20g weight in my irons, but it is not working out in my gamer set. The club overall feels heavier, and I lose the feel of the head. I may pull the grips and give up on the experiment. They are now at a C6-7 swing weight now. Golfworks sells these kits as well. https://www.golfworks.com/tour-lock-pro-weights/p/tl0026/

Looks like Finchey is trying to pop the face off of another driver. I have accidentally done the same thing. Luckily the cart had a steel cage. Now I just try to land one into the basket when it drives by, regardless of the distance.

I just walked my round yesterday. It is good exercise, usually cheaper, and you don't go any faster since you usually have others in your group. The only times I ride are mostly when I play with friends who are all also riding, to be sociable, or if I am trying to squeeze a round in first thing in the morning with limited time and will skip a few holes.

After 20 years golfing, I still get excited to play. I just love being out on the course. I usually take the hour to stretch, chip, putt, and slowly work my through my bag 2-3 shots with every other club. Always end with 3 wood and driver.

I am a little late to the party, but I agree with the lack of overall value in the packages. I have had an executive package for a year now, and there have been some good pieces, but also a lot of duds. For every Penguin or Travis Matthew item, there are 5 house brands or items I would not wear. Also, how many pairs of black golf pants can one person reasonably own. I find myself returning about half of the packages due to sizing or just not vibing with the products. I also do not go through clothing as much and now find myself with an abundance of golf clothing that I do not wear very often due to putting stuff in the rotation. A lot of the time, there are ShortPar4 tshirts and hats that I end up donating. If you can get a trial code or a discount, it is worth the gamble to try and get something different, but it is not worth a reoccurring subscription.

Brand new. HC and wrench included. Won in a tournament. Sticking with my gamer.
$300 shipped OBRO. No trades please.

$750 Shipped CONUS
Heads are in great shape with one small ding at the bottom of the 4 iron. There is a bit of rash on the shaft of the 7 iron. I tried to get solid pictures of the issues.
Lead tape on the back of the heads to get the swing weight to my liking. I can remove them if you want.
Priced to move to account for them not being perfect.
5 iron measures 38.25 tip to grip with 0.5" increments between the irons.

Hello everyone. I have been a lurker for a few years, and finally figured I would complete my profile and be more active here.
- I have been playing golf for about an 15 years and play to a 15 hdcp
- I love ... and hate ... how challenging this game is. Perfection is unattainable.
- I have been reading the review and articles for years. The level of testing of golf equipment is unmatched anywhere.
- I am in the LA area so I don't really have a home course. I play where it's cheep and I can get a tee time.
- The best thing about golf in my area is that I can play year round. The worst thing is that it is expensive and rounds can take 5 hours.
- I work in tech support
- My user name is super original. I live in CA, and I'm a GOLFER.

If you are planning on growing out of this set, I like my Callaway CF16s. Plenty forgiving for me without being massive GI heads. Good distance and great feel on flush shots since the face is forged.
I bought a used set of irons that were cut -1”

Agree with everyone saying that you should just try them. You could also just get one extended and SW set to your specs if you wanted to try them. I have the same shafts in mine, and I like the feel a lot.
