Hoping to at least hit the range this weekend. Having a 1 month old son is amazing, but it doesn't allow for much course time!

Jonathan P. Knoxville, TN 16 17* and 21* I have never owned a set of hybrids, but I play with several guys that swear by them and have tried to talk me into getting a set. Just haven't pulled the trigger yet so I would love to test these out!- 313 replies

Welcome from a fellow newbie!

Thanks for the welcome! Yeah Kenny, we are pretty fortunate in this area when it comes to just about anything outdoors. Several really nice courses around, lakes all over the place, and the mountains are about 30 minutes away for hiking and camping. Can't beat it! I would love to travel to the Pacific Northwest sometime. I hear its gorgeous.

Ball position?
JPriceUT replied to Fireinthehole's topic in Lessons, Drills, Mental Game, and Fitness Tips
Thanks for posting this. I have been struggling with this lately, especially with driver. I am striking the ball better, but occasionally I still balloon one high and right. The common feeling on those swings is that my stance in relation to the ball isn't quite right. I plan on using the guides next range session and seeing if I can get a better handle on it. Thanks again -
Do you have a Golf superstition, superstitions ? ? Lets hear them
JPriceUT replied to Dana's topic in (The 19th Hole)
I always have 1 extra ball in my pocket on the first tee, but the rest of the round, I can't stand having anything in my pockets besides a ball marker and maybe a divot tool. Golf glove is always on except on the green. -
In the past, I have only cleaned when I noticed excess dirt/grass in the grooves, but after reading through this, I may start cleaning after every shot. I also like the wet towel idea. Thanks everyone!

Just wanted to quickly introduce myself as I am new to the community. My name is Jonathan and I live in Knoxville, TN. A buddy of mine recommended this site to me and so I wanted to check it out. We get to play together occasionally and talk about it all the time. I've really enjoyed reading through some of the topics on here and I look forward to engaging and becoming an active contributor here. I don't have a registered handicap as I don't play in tournaments (something I would really like to get into), but I typically shoot high 80's-low 90's. I used to play pretty frequently, but haven't had the time over the past 2 years to play nearly as much as I would like. The good news is I accepted a new job earlier this year and it appears that golf will play a pretty big part in business relationships. Hopefully, this allows me to play more often and continue to improve. Thanks for having me!
