my understanding is you'll get the best performance when hitting the center of the clubface vs "swinging hard" and missing or partially hitting the center.

this is kind of a 2 headed monster. when I first started watching youtube I would run out and try whatever thing I watched.... that was not fruitful --- at least long term. nowadays I'll pick up a few tips here and there. for example I noticed I wasn't releasing the club fully and saw a vid last night as to why this MIGHT be happening. I wouldn't watch YT to learn how to swing a golf club, but I do like it for addressing specific problems.

I'm really not a fan of Barstool at all but I would say their golf crew not because I particularly like them but because they get some great tour pros to play with them. Scottie, Morikawa, Tiger, etc. I've watched golf on youtube for a long time and I suppose the one I've watched the longest is Mark Crossfield. Would be fun to get him and Rory and Coach Lockey together for a round.

FRY DAY !! Wife is headed to Nantucket for the weekend; kid comes back from Greece late Saturday night.... guess I'll be going to the golf store to get one of those reverse taper GP putter grips and off to the range for a bit. Round booked for Saturday afternoon... hoping the weather cooperates. A bit of a lull in the sports schedule so I should probably finish up the yardwork I've been putting off. If you look at other professional athletes that have that same mindset, there's your "killer instinct", but if that makes you 'sinister', I don't know what to say....

practice what you're bad at, not what you're good at.... tighten your dispersion on shots within 100 yards and be good - really good - at chipping on to the green no matter where your ball ends up. practice lag putting --- stop trying to make 30 footers. a good bogey is always better than a bad double (or worse)

- this x1000 I turned it on during a regular event, saw 4 putts and then a commercial, come back - a couple of wedge shots, a few putts, commercial... if you want to know why people aren't watching golf, it's because the way it is televised is unwatchable.

hey y'all ... weekly update - we got a notice from motocaddy that the order is in process so hopefully they'll be shipped soon and we can start unboxing, assembling and testing these bad boys. in the meantime I'm pushing around the clicgear and getting a good baseline to test against!

couldn't make it through all 18 last night... started out nice but a gale blew in and it dropped 20 degrees in a few minutes on us. my swing needs some work. didn't get the best night sleep and dragging a bit so hitting the coffee pot hard today. looking forward to getting back out there soon to work out the kinks. got our plane tix for the MGS Outing at Kingsmill - it's really happening! ! another community call tonight. looking forward to it. hope everyone has a grand ole day.

I wonder how they count "viewership"? is that someone who watches from beginning to end? 3-4 hours of watching a golf tournament is a big commitment - even if it's the Masters. Or is it someone who turns it on for the last hour? I agree with your theory on if there was a "merger". I'm not sure it would make much of a difference. The arrival of spring might have been a factor as well - folks don't want to sit indoors and watch golf when it's finally a nice day outside.

Pacific Dunes - beautiful place but I'm not sure I'd go back. Once you've done an ocean course it kind of loses it's appeal - especially at that price.

I really don't even understand this comment - maybe that's why I don't frequent golfwrx? ... He hits the shots in front of him and plays his game and doesn't worry about what's going on around him. That's what makes him so good. He's Tiger-esque that way. He can just tune out the noise. If other players want to chase, that's fine, if they don't, so be it. If you watched the press conference afterwards he explained all of this. He didn't lay up on 13 or 15. I wonder if everyone thought it was boring when Tiger was winning by huge margins? Seems like they left the tv on, rather than turn it off.
