  1. have you considered the bb mini? Seems like it might be an option based on what you've described. http://www.callawaygolfpreowned.com/golf-clubs/fwoods-2015-bertha-mini-1-5.html
  2. Got a pair of Adidas 360 this year and they are THE BOMB. I walk 90 percent of the time and these are super comfortable.
  3. think i'm going to try the Yes! Donna. Found a decent deal on one from 2008 in pretty good condition on the bay. A lot of talk about this being pretty similar to the Scotty squareback (which I thoroughly enjoyed at Golfsmith but is WAAAAAAY overpriced) and anxious to try the "C-groove" tech. Please warn me if I'm making a huge mistake. =)
  4. Way to go! Must've been extra special since it was in league play.
  5. switching from Apex Pro ('14) to Srixon irons Wilson windy city blade putter
  6. DST Compressor 8i What a strange feeling trying to hit that club. Need your hands WAY forward if you want to hit the ball properly but really, really ingrains the muscle memory rather quickly. No wonder the Olympic Gold medalist and most recent major winners have it in their bag!
  7. Got my DST Compressor today! Can't wait to try it out!!

How has it been working out for you? I have the 8 iron and I love it! Amazing how much my impact position has improved!

Lovin it. Just regripped it and it is better than I could have hoped!

  8. Putter shopping part2 - White hot RX #1 or Ketsch Cadence... what say you?

  9. one of the keys for me when trying/using/testing the 10 finger is to be sure that I have some pressure with my right pinky and not TOO much pressure with my right forefinger. If I remember to do that than I stop hooking the ball but if I have too much pressure on my right forefinger then that causes a sort of 'flip' of the face and I hook it to the right.
  10. Putter shopping... Ketsch Cadence Mid?

Head down to Spargo in Warwick and have them fit your for an Edel. You won't be sorry...

  11. Cool....You must have saved the box? Golf bags are notorious for being difficult to ship. Did they cover the return shipping? Sent from my LG-D851 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  12. After running across this post the other day I gave it a shot on the course today. I typically use the overlap grip so it wasn't a drastic change but it took me a bit to get it down. I was deathly afraid of hooking the ball by gripping too tight with the right hand and that left me hitting some high fades. After I figured it out I was able to really get the feel of it. I think it gave me the sense that I had a lot more control of the clubhead; going to take a bit more practice but after reading this and some other articles on the web I might be a convert! ... hit one of my longest drives in a while with it (290) and some great 3w shots (250).
  13. Interesting round today. I played by myself at a course I've never played and there was a 2some in carts ahead of me (which became a 4some on the back 9) so it gave me a chance to hit 2-3 balls per hole. A lot of fun and got to try the same shot a few different ways. I was hoping nobody would catch up with me and there was never anyone behind me. All in all shot pretty well (for me anyway) with an 80... Also got to really try my new TomTom2 golfer watch. It is FANTASTIC on a course you've never played. Can't wait to post my Stage 2.
  14. Rors needs to get his act together if he wants to play this weekend!

wow... rory couldn't have had a more night/day round. amazing off the

tee box but after that it all went to crap...

  15. Hey... Jason Dufner has had quite a bit of success doing it!
  16. That's great man! They def. deserve that 2nd place ranking!
  17. Wow... that's a bummer. Looks like a beautiful bag otherwise. When you say 'cart' do you mean a pull/push cart or a golf cart? If pull/push cart do the legs fold up nicely so that they don't get in the way when you put your bag on the cart? (this always has been my pet peeve about putting a carry bag on a pull cart)
  18. Hey Rev ... great job! Would that be the "M1" driver with the Paderson or the "G30" with the Paderson?
  19. That's fantastic! Great to share the game with your kids. You'll be sweeping the father-son contests in no time.
  20. Hope none of you are out in this heat playing. 95+ is danger zone.

Played on Sunday, it was 94 with a real feel of 100 here in North Jersey. It was HOT but since the humidity was low, it was bearable. We've had a official heat wave the week or so. Like many parts of the country :(

  21. Shiels and the My & My Golf guys had a longest driving contest recently.. up on YouTube; I won't spoil the ending.
  22. Good call Tazz... added my info .. hopefully I didn't screw it up. @Tazz - worked at Thomas & Betts in Memphis for about a year. Isn't the PGA course near there? @Peter - going to Ocean Grove NJ for vacation in 2 weeks. Would love to get out for a round but my wife would kill me. Will have to do better planning next time!
  23. We golfers are a funny lot... spend 2-6 hours following a little ball over 6 to 7 thousand yards and even crawling through woods, weeds, sticks looking for it when it goes awry. Some of us also are a bit superstitious. What are some of your most interesting superstitions? For me: if I play a really good round while wearing a particular hat I wear that hat until I play a bad round with it. then it goes back on the shelf. if I'm putting poorly while using a particular ball marker that marker goes back in the bag and I don't use it again for quite some time
