  1. Cleveland would - of course - only be available in Cleveland, OH and have you hit wedges over a burning river. IYKYK
  2. I was tempted - they finally built one around me in Canton MA.... but then I heard from people and read reviews like this. Sounds like mini-golf on steroids. I have no plans of ever going unless it was a family event with a bunch of non-golfers. I think that "Top" golf is rather generous... "bottom" golf "not" golf "fake" golf
  3. happy Friday folks... some great college hoops on, starting tonight - both men's and women's. first time in a long long time I've really wanted to watch a women's college hoop game. if you get a chance check it out. hoping the rain holds off tomorrow so I can spread some mulch before everything starts growing. much easier that way. planning on a Sunday afternoon round at the new course with the reshafted irons to see how it goes. hopefully the little bit of extra weight will tighten up the dispersion. ...have a fabulous weekend!
  4. I was a volunteer at the BellSouth Classic in the mid to late 90's at that course! Held sign by the green that said "hush y'all" and got to see Lee Janzen take a pee in the woods.
  5. this seems really unique and very creative. I would use this a lot in the winter time. I wonder if there's a way to make it longer or wider?
  6. this is fascinating. I always wondered how Mike Weir was able to win. and Zach J - he draws the ball every time.
  7. forgot to mention I'll be testing in as much "weather" as I can - rain, wind, sun, heat, etc.
  8. hey everyone, intro is posted (https://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/63746-testers-announced-motocaddy-m-series-carts/#comment-1042684) please start including questions/thoughts/things you'd like to see tested, etc. thanks!
  9. posted my intro for motocaddy! check it out here -
  10. it would slide on about an inch but not high enough so the shaft reaches all the way to the bottom of the head. I gave up on those ferrules and had to use a set of pliers to get them off. hopefully these next ones work okay. thanks for the tips!
  11. I tried reshafting last night and noticed during my dry fitting that the ferrules were getting stuck and wouldn't slide all the way up the shaft. I'm guessing that they weren't truly .355 like they were supposed to be and I don't have anything to sand the inside of them. I ordered 2 new sets - just in case one doesn't fit again - and plan to try again tonight. Now I see why dry fitting is so important!
  12. I'm a big fan of 32 degrees stuff; it's really casual and very comfortable. I have a few of these polos and if you're looking for something that you can wear untucked and is cozy hard to go wrong with 3 for 24.00 https://www.32degrees.com/products/mens-cool-polo?variant=40881268883545
  13. Safe travels to the queen city! That is a long ride.
  14. I like em. My first choice would probably be the last one and I probably wouldn't put my name on one.
  15. My thoughts are with you @Fongle Lost my mom suddenly to the big C a few years ago. Great advice - reach out to those you haven't spoken with in a while and let em know. woke up to a DF3 testing opportunity. W@W !!! the forum staff are bringing it hot and heavy with the testing this year. AWESOME. really gross out today so I'll be looking forward to jumping on the call this afternoon. seems to be a fair number of medical issues lately and I'm with @EasyPutter - thanks for sharing, we're all here for you and for those that aren't comfortable sharing know that we're thinking of you as well. be best, gang!
  16. Interesting... I, too, thought it was an odd pairing. JT seems to need some "guidance" more than Phil ever did. Loved Bones when he worked on the golf broadcasts. I hope he goes back to doing that. Wonder who is next on JT's bag... and right before the Masters too.
  17. haha... I knew someone would do that math. I meant to start at 110 instead of 100. My 54 goes 90-110. GW: 110 - 120 PW: 120 - 130 9I: 130-140 8I: 140-155 7I: 155-170 6I: 170-190 5I: 190-210 As you can see the gaps increase with the longer clubs.
  18. I agree with @cnosil Statistics show that the best way to shoot lower scores is to hit more greens but that can be really hard if you're not a professional so with that being said, getting up and down from off the green is crucial - from the rough, fairway or in a bunker. Also agree with putting. I used to practice making medium length putts along with long ones and short ones but after seeing the statistics regarding make percentage I rarely practice MAKING medium length putts. I try to lag everything inside a 2-3 foot circle and then work on making EVERY SINGLE putt inside 3 feet. If you're fairly accurate, chase distance. If you aren't accurate enough to keep the ball in play, chase accuracy. Improve your ball striking - i.e. hit it in the center of the face more often than not - no more thin or chunk shots. finally - tempo. develop yours and OWN IT. don't change it.
  19. WIS has an odd association with Oregon (the city), Hillsboro (a suburb of portland), Benton (a county outside of Eugene) ....
  20. Didn't really play but wanted to share this for those that are just getting back into playing. Some solid advice from Jon Sherman, author of a couple golf books.... Jon Sherman @practicalgolf Many of you are starting your golf seasons or waiting for stubborn early spring weather to allow your course to open. If you have had a long layoff over the winter, I find there are some things to keep in mind to succeed and enjoy yourself more... Be Patient! Whether you have put in a ton of work over the offseason or barely touched a club, it takes a while to re-acclimate to being on the golf course again. Parts of your game will feel rusty, which is expected. The best thing you can do is be a little easier on yourself rather than expect your game to be firing on all cylinders, which leads me to my next point... Be Grateful: I haven't been on a golf course since December and have been dealing with an injury. Rest assured, I will take many moments in my first few rounds to soak in the experience. We have to do our best to have a baseline gratitude for being able to play, the weather allowing us to, and the unique experience that golf is. And yes, I know many of you reading this email don't have an offseason, but be happy for the rest of us Get Your Reps: If you have followed my work, you know that I stress that being on a golf course is the best place to learn about your game and gain experience. You cannot simulate that in any other environment. In your first few rounds, shift your perspective from trying to perform well to just getting comfortable being back on the golf course. Pay attention to what parts of your game feel the most uncomfortable, and those are the areas you'll need to devote more time to in the spring when you practice. Beware of Fool's Gold: Sometimes, a funny thing can happen when you have a long layoff. All those nagging swing thoughts disappear, and you have a clean slate. You might come out "hot" and feel as though you have golf solved. And then a couple of errant shots in your next round have you back to the drawing board. This is perfectly normal. Just be aware that your earlier rounds might be erratic, and remind yourself of my prior points. Get Your Feel: Most golfers struggle with their wedges and putter after a longer layoff versus their full swing. Spend a little more at the short game facility (if possible) to re-engage your depth perception and feel.
  21. while I certainly don't play as much as you do I have never experienced anything like you're describing. I have several pairs of shoes, multiple bags and sets of clubs. I think the quality of the products today is top notch as this is what golfers demand. The R&D departments of these manufacturers are very good. But maybe I'm also lucky?
  22. sharp! good review and the bag looks great. do you use it on a golf cart or pull cart?
  23. WOW... Bill trading Diggs to Houston... They're getting seriously good. Diggs Nico Collins Tank Dell whew! those are some serious weapons... ...and Buffalo - yikes! Josh Allen can only do so much on his own.
