Thanks. There are so many forums here I don't really know which one to start following. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Morning all.
It’s Easter time here, so everything is closed today, Friday, Sunday and Monday—except for bakeries and home and gardening stores. I suppose because on holidays folks eat bread and catch up on gardening.
For us, we’ll be taking dog walks, working around the house, maybe start prepping the backyard for spring and summer. Not sure golf is on the agenda, but hopefully grilling is.
Best health to all.

decided on the Bettinardi BB56 - found a good deal on 2ndswing
I remember when this putter was in the store and trying it and really liking it at the time. Always been a fan of Bettinardi putters and think they're in that same elite class as Scotty.Reasons I like it:
loft is 2 degrees and I was fit into that exact loft (I will need to get the lie adjusted when I get it)
toe hang is 1/8 - not quite face balanced - and coming from playing blades for the last several years the transition should be smoother
does not fall open or closed at address; I've seen this happen before with putters and it's very frustrating.
the COG is raised above the center of the ball and that along with the 2 degrees of loft should help put a smoother roll on the ball
as you can see - it's pretty easy to aim and there's a high MOI and forgivenessNice! You’ll have to let us know how it does this season.

Congratulations, Jason!
You’ve been a great addition to the staff, for sure, and I’ve always enjoyed your reviews.
Although after reading @GolfSpy SAM‘s comment, now I’m starting to wonder, are lefties’ taking over the forum staff?
Muah-hah-hah …

Morning all.
It’s sunny and about 55°F outside. Actually debating about whether to cut grass. I’m becoming superstitious about performing any spring-related chore that will bring back snow. I haven’t even changed out the snow tires yet.
Have a good one.

so I bought a set of shafts on ebay from what-looked-like a reputable seller...
I bought them on Wednesday and they were showing as "shipped" but USPS said that the label had just been printed.Check out this conversation:
ME:
Hi
The listing shows my item has been shipped but when I look at the usps tracking it says that only the label has been printed
Can you please let me know when you plan to ship?
ThanksHIM:
Hello,
The label has been printed and staff is sending them out on Monday morning. You will receive more updates then.ME:
Wow
Does it usually take you a week to ship?HIM:
Yes sir - not a big business prioritizing ebay shipments. Just trying to sell people some high quality products for a discounted rate,ME:
Yeah, but I have sold many things on ebay and always ship within 24 hours
This is highly disappointingHIM:
Maybe that is you. I am running multiple businesses and taking care of tour players. My assistants take care of shipping.
You'll be getting your product soon - if I had never responded yesterday, you wouldn't feel the way you feel. Sorry for trying to get back to you..HAHAHAHAHAHA ROTFLMAO !!!
Taking care of tour players???
At this point I just gave up and am hoping that this person is actual real and the shafts are in fact going to be mailed.
You know the old saying: The customer is always at fault for inquiring about shipping times.

@StrokerAce what putter were you using before your putter quest?

But GF is not going to leave them locked inside, thus the palace.
I’m lost—the local governing body can tell you that you’re not allowed to let your cat roam outdoors? How is that possible?

Morning all.
(TL;DR—my wife and I had a good time.)
My wife wanted to get away this weekend to relax. That was my cue to go find a place within a couple hours’ drive. I reported back to list out our choices and see which—
“Could you please just pick one?” She asked.
”… sure.” I said.
So I did.
A few days later, she asked, “Did you pick one?”
”Yes,” I said. “I did.”
”Which one?”
“I thought you wanted it to be a surprise.”
”No. I hate surprises.”
So I told her I picked a spa hotel in the city.
”You couldn’t find one with a golf course?”
I fell in love with her all over again.
”In fact, no. They sold out this weekend.”
So off we went. Lately, things I do or buy end up sounding like an MGS forum review in my head.
Spa hotel in Copenhagen
Morning 9/10
We stayed in a cozy room with a balcony.
A heated pool sat in the courtyard …
… where we waded and sat under a skylight shielding us from the chilly weather.
The breakfast was healthy and delicious.
Midday 6/10
I reserved massage time for both of us. Apart from the usual stress, my muscles needed help after weeks of golfing at the sim range. The massage therapist and I—let’s just say we didn’t connect that well. As I lay face down in the first minutes, it was clear she did not appreciate small talk. (fun fact: Americans excel at small talk; some cultures do not.) She told me that I was paying for the time, so I should use it wisely.
She did a good job working on knots in my back and releasing tension in my forearm, but …
”You have frozen shoulder,” she said unexpectedly.
”What?” I asked.
“You need to see a physical therapist right away.”
Okay, my wife and brother have had a frozen shoulder. I don’t have one, but I let it slide.
”Your arms and back are a mess.”
Yes, I know, I thought. That’s why I’m getting a massage.
Instead, I said, “I’ve been playing golf, so I’ve been pushing myself a little.”
”Do you stretch before and after?”
”Yes, I do.”
A pause, and then. “You need to stop playing golf.”
“Okay.”
Face down, she couldn’t see me rolling my eyes.

Overall, it’s been a relaxing getaway/10. This weekend we had a delicious Italian meal and a favorite restaurant nearby and strolled around our favorite streets and allies.
We’ve never done this sort of thing before, but if we ever do it again, we’re going to the place with a golf course.

“Putt when you can, Chip when you can’t, Pitch when you must.”
I used this mantra around the green yesterday, and I holed out twice with an 8-iron chip. I know that’s not the norm, obviously, but it’s a very helpful checklist to use. Thanks for that.

I’ve been debating about whether to get a year’s subscription to TheGrint at ~$75 or to get Shotscope Connex at $130. It’s hard not to pass up something that offers no subscription fee.
I haven’t read the entire thread, but I asked them about a handicap feature, and they wrote back alluding to new features coming soon.
My bad. I asked about whether it was possible to add previous rounds to help build a handicap, and they said that isn’t possible, but that they are working on the ability to add a round while away from the course.

Just catching up on this thread. The OPs just got a few reaction notifications from me. Sorry, but I love a good home DIY buildout.
@IndyBonzo is it me, or is your garage ceiling pretty high?
@ILMgolfnut Do you have a net on right side as well? Were it me, I’d open the washing machine lid so that I’d at least get points for landing my shanks.
Great job, you two! Don’t forget to set up a place to sit down and have a cold drink nearby.

Today was my first time out this year. I played at the my usual 9-hole course twice, and I ended up plus +12 of the “front” nine and +10 on the back. My putting was nothing special, especially as I was using my new putter on overseeded greens. (I’m not an expert on green maintenance terms.)
However, I holed out twice chipping with an 8-iron. And in dramatic fashion, I scrambled the last hole by hitting a lob with a ball nested in an overgrown bit of rough overhanging the bunker and landing and rolling within 3 feet of the hole.
I mean, that’s what I wanted to happen. I’m just amazed that it happened.
On my next round I’ll have to play the Full Swing soundtrack in my earbuds.

Afternoon all!
Went out for my first round of the year at the my li’l 9-hole x2. Fresh air! Golf was never meant to be played indoors.
At the 7th, I came across this gal grazing.
I walked up, gently ushered her away, and when I went back to my ball, she came back. We did this dance a couple times. Finally I just opted to hit wide right of her. The last thing I wanted to do was blade my ball her way.
Okay, gotta go. My wife and I are having a weekend getaway in downtown Copenhagen. Nothing special, just some quiet time together.
Have a good one!

Morning all!
Missed the community call last night. Hope it was fun. We had movie night last night—Atomic Blonde. A pretty good action film, if you’re into watching a 10-minute, single take fight scene.
Earlier, I spied on birds feeding. One did not look happy.
Have a good one.
