  1. I just got a BRNR 13.5. My plan is to use it largely as a tee club on holes at my home course on which a full driver would have more risk. I’m looking at something like 6 holes where this would work. I expect to hit it about as far as my 4 wood off the deck. I plan on bumping up the loft on my 4 wood to 18*, making it essentially a 5 wood, then dropping my 7-wood or my 3-utility iron depending on course layout and conditions.
  2. Much will depend on whether the shaft you get fits you. That being said, I have an 0211 that I hit quite well. It’s recently been replaced with a Titleist TSr2 which I hit MUCH better. But again, the 0211 is a good club. I even tried the Gen5 0311 and returned it after a month or so because it just wasn’t that much better than the 0211. Talk to their online sales folks, or better yet, go to one of their stores and get fit, get the right shaft, and you’ll be fine with the 0211.
  3. Yup, lofts are stronger and shafts are longer. They just have the wrong numbers / letters on the bottom!
  4. Clean pulls w GP MCC+4 Align grips in great shape. $120 shipped in US. PayPal or Venmo.
  5. Clean pulls, with Golf Pride MCC+4 Align grips in great shape. $120 shipped. US Only. PayPal or Venmo.
  6. Another Jekyll/Hyde kind of round. 39 on the front nine with a double on the first, then 45 on the back. I’ve had a number of those kinds of rounds this year including one when I was -1 after 11 and 9 over on the last 7. I’m beginning to believe it’s a stamina / endurance issue as I get older (60+). Gotta get off my lazy arse and exercise to get stronger and lose weight. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. It’s a very nice club that for me had the totally wrong shaft. I could barely get the ball airborne with it. I want to try it to compare with my VKTR 18* which I love, and hit on a good mid-high trajectory. I just didn’t think I could give the UiHi a complete and fair review strictly based on the shaft that it was shipped with. Just jot a fit for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. -1 through 12 [emoji41] then 9 over for the last 6 holes. [emoji2959] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Agree with the size thing. I wear large cadet normally but the ML in the Kirklands fits me just fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I am not going to be able to do a worthy review of the club I was given. It’s a UiHi utility with a stiff Tour V90 shaft. I’ve hit about 10 balls with it which was enough to tell me that it is not the right shaft for me. So if anyone else can commit to give it a full and complete review, please PM me here and we can make arrangements to get it to you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I need to do the same thing. What little I’ve been able to try to hit it, I could tell it just was not going to work for me. Nice club just the wrong shaft for my swing. I would be happy to eat the cost to ship to someone who can commit to doing a full write up on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I think they ruined a perfectly good gravel quarry when they built that dump. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Never hit the driver but I had a 3W and 5w pair that were quite nice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I will also apologize that between work and weather I haven’t been able to get enough swings in with the UiHi to write up my report. Hope to resolve that in the next couple of weeks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I just got one of their short sleeve waterproof jackets for $79+ship. That’s 70% off. And I signed up for their mailing list and got a coupon for another 15% off. That worked out to free shipping basically. Great deal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Just bought another pack of them at Costco. Best price/performance ratio on the market. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Ok I played in a scramble today, and before we teed off I got in a few swings with the UiHi 18*. This has the KBS Tour Stiff shaft in it. I was worried about this shaft being too stout for me, and I was right. It only took a few swings off the ground and the tee to realize that this combo isn’t right for me. Couldn’t get it more than 20’ off the ground with or without a tee. Probably would be a different animal with a Recoil Stiff in it. I’m going to order one up and install it before doing a full review. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. The relationship between frequency and flex is also dependent on the length of the club. For a hybrid length club, 253 would indeed fall in the L-flex range. https://images.app.goo.gl/pukR8sWLogRwJ5E29 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Hello everyone my name is Greg and I’m delighted to have been chosen for this test of the Utility 18* iron. I live in northwest South Carolina and am a resident member of a semi private club in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains. So I am fortunate to get to play golf mostly year round. I still work for a software company so don’t get to play or practice as much as I like. Here’s a view from our 8th tee, par 3 200 yards from the Blues. I currently play Hogan PTxPro 4-P plus the Equalizer 50*. I also have the Eq 56 and 60 but have been using TM HiToe wedges with greater success. I also have a VKTR 18* hybrid which I love after having changed the shaft to a Recoil 780 F4. I get a nice high ball flight with that setup and very accurate. Little to no hooks which I might tend to do w a hybrid. I am looking forward to comparing the utility iron to the VKTR. I’m a little concerned that the KBS Tour 110 Stiff might be too firm for me. I’m currently a 12.3 index and 63 years old. I’ve lost some distance compared to my younger years of course but still hit my PTxPro 7 iron between 150-60, average 240-250 off the tee. Typically play Srixon ZStar but sometimes Bridgestone B RX or QStar Tour. Here’s some looks at the new Hogan Utility Iron I’ll be testing (18* 3-U): So again, really looking forward to trying this out compared to the VKTR. And very grateful to Hogan and MGS for the opportunity to participate! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I wound up finding a srixon 785 driver with this shaft already installed at a great price, so I’m all set. But thanks anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Terrible today. I think my experiment with midsize grips may be over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
