  3. hey Bryan how did you find the breakdown of the hole in the app?! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  4. Final stats after the four weeks! The Cobra Connect challenge was a blast! As I'm sitting at dinner with my very patient wife, I will have to give a more detailed review later! But I like the Cobra a lot for sure. It may replace the M2... Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  5. I'm hoping to play 18 tomorrow then post final stats for the #cobraconnectmgs challenge. I haven't had a round in a week so I will wait and see what tomorrow brings. I don't think I'm in danger of being player of the week with no play, so I want to get some more reps with the F7+. The course of private (Coach Belichick, whom I know you all know and love, lives at a house on the course) and I'm told phones are not allowed, but I will ask if I can use the app and not use the phone otherwise. This has been great fun and thanks to the my golf spy team for all you do, and for selecting us to write about our experiences and post our results. More tomorrow! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  6. 8 is that long par 5 right angle dog leg left where I said to stay right of the bunker I think you did and were over by the pine trees. That may have been your second shot. Sometimes the app misses the first swing... you drive it very well though! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  7. Stroker ace drove it better for sure! Score wise I think it was about even Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  8. It's #teamrickie V #teamlexie up close and personal! It was a pleasure to meet @strokerace and play 18 in Braintree MA! Well done Jason you drove the ball well today! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  9. I'm so glad you were able to get a round in TBT - what a traumatic situation down there! I've been to Houston three times and always found the people nice and welcoming! Good job with the driver! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  10. Congrats to both - that Bryan has a great swing for sure! #teamrickierules Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

  12. Here are my Arccos driver stats after week two...would like more fairways and 20 more yards but wouldn't we all?
  13. Hat off - Arnie would! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  14. You definitely have to hit edit on occasion. And check the phone to make sure it's on the right hole and says "ready for drive". Also I've had the app hear a hit of someone playing with me and it set the drive distance at his ball. I hit edit and set it at mine. You can't enlarge the screen for extra placement accuracy but you can move the drive icon to the blue circle ( where you're standing) and get it pretty damn close. App not perfect with the vagaries of gps signal strength but it's pretty good. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  15. Congrats TBT and ACE / great job! I'm SO glad I hit both clubs before choosing. I would have chosen the F7 based on specs and descriptions. But as my fitter said - "you don't look comfortable over the ball with that club (F7)". The face almost looked open to me at address. Big head yeah but weird to my eye. The F7+ I instantly hit better. I asked my fitter - wait I'm a 13 handicap - isn't this engineered for the better player? That's basically just Cobra marketing came the response. I think I'm actually preferring this club to my M2. (It may be going on eBay soon) maybe my swing has improved but it's more down the middle consistent. Maybe it's the elements chrome shaft. In any event I'd say my driving is better. I'm not hitting bombs but topping at 265 for me is good. I still lift a touch on take away and that drains some power. I'm not gaming the M2 for the duration of this contest. I suppose I'll try it again just to confirm my suspicions that I'm better with the $250 Cobra. Try it out... 16. I'm playing Waverly tomorrow! Hoping to be king of a hole! Post yours....good to have a fellow competitor in Boston. We luckily have a great stretch of weather here!! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  17. Here are my results after week one! Loving the Cobra Connect app - it (almost) always detects drives automatically and you can learn about your game and (hopefully) make some improvements off the tee. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  18. Awesome contest - happy to be here with MyGolfSpy and Cobra Connect! About me: I'm a 56 year old 13 handicapper in Boston, where I'm a reporter and anchor at a local TV station. I have a bunch of grown kids which means I now have more time for golf! Driver has been the worst part of my game for years, I struggle with both consistency and length. Nice combo. I've been using Taylormade's M2 and liked it well enough on occasion. My club: Thanks to my pro and Golf Digest top 10 club fitter Daren MacKinnon - I have my new driver to test Cobra Connect. It's the F7 plus with an Mamiya Elements Chrome 6F4 stiff shaft. The club feels and looks great at address. The Cobra F7, supposedly for game improvement, didn't fit my eye at all. Daren said not to worry about being a mid teen handicap and going with the better players club - he said a lot if that is about marketing. I hit the club very well during the fitting, topping out at 98 swing speed and about 245 carry. On the course so far I have been carrying fewer yards for sure, but I've been going for fairways and this club has been pretty accurate. Good experience so far! Cobra Connect automatically tracks your drives through GPS tracking of your drive, and a sensor at the end of the grip which knows when you are swinging and listens for the strike of the club head against the ball. It has worked pretty well and does not require manual tagging / you just play and the app does the work. However it's best to keep the phone in your front pocket, which is not ideal. My social media Twitter, Instagram: @jhall7news Facebook: Jon Hall All in all a good experience so far as we get started with this test. Go team Rickie!
