  1. Would love to know how the results from the survey you sent out a few weeks ago has informed the the testing. Is there anything you will do differently based on MGS reader input?
  2. Another good move is to drench the hat in water while you are playing. You won't get sweat stains as long as the hat is wet. Also serves as a nice AC unit for your head on the course. I've used this too and put it in the washing machine but I don't think it keeps the shape of the hat very well. Good for unstructured hats. Always hang dry no matter what.
  3. I live in CA now but spent 7 years in NYC back when Trump Golf Links was still an idea caught up in red tape. It's also not a muni and if you are going to pay that much just go out to Bethpage which is much cheaper and an actual muni. I've played more rounds at Dyker than any course in the country and would agree with your assessment. In addition to layout, don't forget the vibe! Before American Golf took over operations and pre clubhouse renovation, Dyker was an awesome hang. Lively bar for great post-round chopping up. I think you are spot on with the Bronx courses. VC is overrated and clunky. I like Pelham more than Split because it is not as narrow. I haven't played it in 10+ years but I always really enjoyed La Tourette. Seemed like the best maintained course in the rota, regardless of layout. Dyker - Vibes! Pelham - Layout, beautiful park, wide La Tourette - Island vibes! Split - Pretty and tight VC - Because its old South Shore - Island Marine Park Forrest Park Clearview Now I live in LA and could do the same thread for there!
  4. Great point here StrokerAce. I bought the ZipCore RTX in a 54 and a 50 in January and I LOVE them. If full face was available back then, I think I still would have purchased the standard RTX's. As a mid to high handicapper (15-17), I am not sure if a higher toe with more grooves would help or not. Am I good enough to take advantage of those extra grooves? Probably not. Would the extra grooves help me more on mis-hits? Not sure. Would love other perspectives.
  5. Have you looked at Wired Golf in Santa Monica? They do not use Trackman or GC Quad, they use Full Swing, but you can still get all of the data you are looking for except for angle of attack. Who knows, maybe you can get AoA and I just don't know. You can see the data that is available here. I've only gone once but felt like I got what I needed. You can book by the hour or half hour. They have memberships or you can just pop in for a single use. You just need to bring your own balls, which I actually prefer.
  6. Still haven't gotten out to the current new course. Hopefully when the other one opens up it will make tee times easier to get. I see you are in Dublin. I'm part of a team in the Dublin Ranch Thursday twilight league, at least pre-COVID. No league last year. Used to be in the Tuesday night Calippe league as well. Tri-Valley native here.
  7. So that's how you do it! Been trying to get on Corica for a while. Was never sure when the online system opened up.
  8. Just joined the forum and added myself to the map. Looking forward to being part of this golf community!
