  1. For all you guys into tinkering. Any projects upcoming in 2018 you giys are thinking of doing? Im thinking of getting some wedge blanks and doing some custom grinds and shapes. Sent from my SM-G950W using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  2. Okay, thank you Sent from my SM-G950W using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  3. So i am wondering if kzg still has ties with orlimar. There big in the early 2000's but havent heard in a looonnng time. My observation is they are no more but dont know. Maybe you guys with connects could help aha. Sent from my SM-G950W using MyGolfSpy mobile app

  5. At a local shop up in Niagara, ontario, canada. I got i95s. Im excited to get them built. Just trying to decide what grips and ferrules. Either colourful or just simple black Sent from my SM-G950W using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  6. So these came in the mail on Friday. Im pretty stoked to put these in kzg zo blades aha. But i was wondering about grips. Im looking for new grips. I have almost always played gpmc but have new pures in black. What do you guys think about coloured grips?? And Ferrules?? Sent from my SM-G950W using MyGolfSpy mobile app

  8. I found this picture and was wondering if anyone new what that silver piece is on the hosel. Is it a way to just swap shafts or to adjust it. Either way is there a product like it out there to buy. I havent found anything yet. Sent from my SM-G950W using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  9. I am kind of leaning towards a couple of small headed hybrids. I just have to match my lofts because my 5 iron is 28* Sent from my SM-G950W using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  10. So I know it is a redundant topic and has somewhat been resolved that hybrids are better then long iron but what about hybrids VS SGI Irons in 3/4 iron? Sent from my SM-G950W using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  11. Completely agree. Amazing quality. Sent from my SM-G950W using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  12. I do too Sent from my SM-G950W using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  13. So im my most recent post I said that I bought a set of KZG zo Blades satin which look so DAMN GOOOOOD but they came with taylormade shafts. I want to dabble into graphite was thinking of getting Matrix Studio 84 x flex iron shafts. Apparently they are mid launching shafts just curious because the lofts are a bit week. Pw-5 48 44 40 36 32 28. Im hoping they arent mid to high or anything as i am going to have a hard time matching up hybrids for the 4/3 irons. If anyone has input on these shafts that would be great!!?? Also im doing black Pure grips and need ferrule ideas!?! Sent from my SM-G950W using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  14. Thats her with a feather. Thanks. I suprisingly dont mind the lighter weight i wouldnt go any lighter. I was suprised to find them in these kzgs. I really only bought for the heads. My plan is graphite once I figure out what I want. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk
  15. I just bought a set of KZG Zo Blades satin with odd shafts in them. I found out they are Taylormade"nippon" tm tk shafts. I was wondering if anyone knew the specs on the shaft. I am looking to swap them but i like the feel of the weight of the club with these lighter shafts just dont know what they are. Long rambing sentence aha. I just may want to get similar weight shaft but low launching. Thanks Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk
  16. Ferrules are on there way! I went with black Base with matching rings to grips. It has been a slow process emailing but finally got it. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  17. I have not thought about that but yeah that would look sharp Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  18. So I have been slowing picking away at building my single length irons. Currently I have all the irons bent to desired loft and lie: 4-22. Lie-62 5-26 6-29 7-33 8-37 9-41 I am working on getting the head weights all the same at 277g. The shafts are cut to length of 8 iron. I need help with picking ferrules. I am using multicompounds with different colours on each iron. I don't know what colours to pick. I was thinking of matching colour for Base and complimentary colour for rings or vice versa. Anyone have any suggestions or if they have done this before? Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  19. I know the process for stripping chrome is dangerous and what not. I have done it before leaving it at the nickel state in which at that point I can oil can/quench it. I'm still not 100%. I might not strip them or might get them professionally done as other have stated. I know the weighting needs to be altered and understand all that. I probably won't grind the lower irons even though it all just be a 9 since I I have 3-9 in irons. For the shafts every other company besides edel uses one shaft. Now I may do the same for 3/4 irons but for the rest of the irons I'm trying to avoid buying new. I just have a hard time understanding how the math doesn't work out with tipping and butt trim to equaling the same when they are all symmetrically trimmed if that makes sense. Like in the example of the 8 and 6 iron shafts. I know I have to alter the lofts a little bit but it may not affect the bounce a whole lot. I get your moral of the story and I agree at times it is a bad idea but it also seems like a good idea I mean I can see the benefit in the long irons for me. I am also trying to do this in a more Custom diy thing on a budget as apposed to buying edels which are not cheap and are just prefabbed and defeats the purpose of me tinkering a little bit. I'm just trying to learn a bit about clubfitting and I thought it would be a cool project. Just not a easy one. The other reason for my tinkering is some one else doing the same for my same irons: http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/topic/1411980-single-length-mizuno-irons-raw-de-chromed-t-zoid-heads-365in-champ-c8-grips/ I'm doing them a little different but similar idea. 20. So I am dabbling into the single length idea in converting my tzoid pros to single length. So I have a few dumb questions as I am doing research on this project: 1. I was going to do a raw finish but I am going to strip the chrome with muriatic acid and do an oil can/quench finish with custom ferrules and grips. With saying that is it better to bend the clubs prior to this or after? Or does it matter? 2. I've been reading about reweighing all the clubs with lead tape or something of the sorts. I have read that where you put the weight can matter like for the long irons if you put the weight low on the head it produces higher spin thus less distance. I feel with this though it may benefit to countering the lower launch. But maybe there is a bit of a median to the weight or just put it right behind sweet spot/or middle? 3. I would like to reuse current shafts if possible. I've been doing reading and everyone is saying it can't be done although when I look up the trimming specs to the shafts it is basically saying for every iron (my single length irons will be 8 iron length) you need to tip an extra 1/2" and butt trim to length which is a 1/2" for every club. So doing that math in theory I could just tip every shaft to the desired length? Eg: 6 iron is tipped 2.5" and the 8 iron is tipped 3.5 inches. The 6 irons is also 1" longer then 8 iron thus 2 club difference. So in theory of math since the 6 iron is 1" longer and tipped 1" less couldn't I tip the 6 iron an extra 1" like the 8 iron therefore making it the same length? Please I appreciate the help Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  21. Aha okay i was hoping for some there is so much info it's hard to figure out what to do Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

  23. I am curious with this original topic as well since I am looking into making a single length iron set. So I have to bend and alter each head and change weight of each head to match. What would change about the shaft if I have a 3 irons shaft wanting to cut it and install in a 9 iron. I wouldn't be cutting the tip just the butt end. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  24. I am working on refinishing my irons raw and turning them into a single length set. I've been doing research and others are talking about the upkeep of a raw set. I have just not seen any details as to what they actually mean by that. I would have thought there would be little upkeep? Any please help? Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
