Had the same question about the 790 vs. the 770. Didn't have time to swing side-by-side, so unsure. I would think that the 770 is more like the T100/s, though, based on the construction characteristics.
The T100 and S are going to be closer to the 770 and the t200 more inline with the 790 in my experience.

The T100 is never described as a successor, but to older Titleist fans, it may be a bit of a reminder.
Is there any information as to whether the T100 or the stronger lofted T100S is expected to be the more popular version?
Don’t think titleist is expecting one to be more popular than the other. They are designed for two different golfers. Those who like their version of the cb or older ap2 users the 100 is going to be the popular choice.
For those who like the look of the smaller head shape but want some added distance will lean towards 100S.
Both models were popular in the previous release

I think I am going to go into my local shop and have them let me hit each club on lie board to see where I am coming in. I've done that with my mizunos to ensure they are correct for me.
However, I will say that last night was a bit of a breakthrough. I was putting on a stripe show at the range. Still missing some right for sure, but a lot more at my target than I have seen so far. Secondly, the strike was good to excellent on 98% of the shots. My confidence is definitely on the rise after yesterday's range session.
Lie boards can be misleading and aren’t really used by fitters anymore because of that.

With this new format, it's hard to read the intros/comments at the same time so here's a link to my intro and fitting. As I add more info, I'll link it in the comments..

The new format kind of makes me happy I didn’t get picked and adds unnecessary confusion to the whole process. I’m sure there’s a rhyme and reason the powers to be decided the efficiency and was of reading comments and reviews for the old days needed a change

If you are comfortable taking something off the 9i then you can stay with 46*.
another option if changing bounce doesn’t affect your swing is to bend the 46 strong to fit the distance gap
