I get up at 4:30 am everyday. I had a half a can of Celsius and half of a banana (My dog always gets a bite when done doing is business.), worked out with weights, ate a Pure Protein bar and paid some bills. Now getting ready to take my dog for a four mile walk then home for a cup of tea and breakfast. This is my typical routine, and I throw in a bike ride every now and then, certainly on days I don't do weights (Celsius and protein bar on weights days only). This is all necessary because I love ice cream and potato chips way too much!

What Is Your Next Planned Golf Equipment Purchase?
"Mr. 72" replied to GolfSpy_APH's topic in General Equipment Talk
I'm looking to buy a new driver and 3 wood to replace my Ping G15s. I've had 4 or 5 different suggestions from different fitters. -
My all-time favorite shaft is the Memphis 10 that is in my Callaway s2h2 irons. I don't have a fast swing or a slow swing. This shaft seems to have been made for a tweener swing speed. Just for fun, I played this irons (2- LW) about 8 years ago. I would almost bet that I could hit that 6 iron today as far as I hit my stronger lofted 2019 Titleist T300 6 iron. ...Hello, simulator?

2024 Masters Pool Sponsored by Titleist and Vokey Wedges

Cut line: +4 Low Am: Christo Lamprecht Vokey SM10: 54° 8M. Nickel finish so I don't mistake it for my Jet Black 60°! -
I had a set of Dunlop irons many year ago. I didn't really like them, so I got rid of them after two years for a set if Callaways. The best part of my Dunlop purchase was that the salesman talked me out of trading in my Callaway s2h2 irons, and I still have them to this day. They're my all-time favorite clubs I've ever owned. I also tested a dozen Dunlop golf balls for the old PGAT Partners Club. I really liked that ball. It was long, and I shot mid 70s round, which is really good for me, the first time out. However, it was one dozen and done, as I don't ever remember seeing them in a store.

I have a SM C150 for when I ride. A SM Speedcart bag for my Alphard V2/pushcart combo. I also have Ping Hoofer and a Titleist LinksMaster which I won. All of the bags are fully "packed", so I just have to transfer clubs when I switch bags-no biggie. I used to walk and carry all the time, but now the Ping is just used for going to a simulator or if I'm playing a round with a caddy. If I had t o choose just one, I would get a larger 14way stand bag. The LinksMaster is my most recent acquisition, and I used it a couple of times on a cart and to a sim. I may have to do a post on how I begged for that bag. If you know, you know!

So, I actually found "the other one", a CT in my valuables pouch yesterday. ...And proceeded to rinse it on the 2nd hole. -

I have four left of each model. One had bad road rash. I think I lost two in the water. I'm not sure about the other one. -
I just had a driver/3 wood fitting at a local course by a Callaway rep. My swing speed was between 93-96 that day. Here's his recommendations that I think I'm going with.... Driver: Smoke Triple Diamond with a Ventus AV Blue 65 stiff flex. He really like the low side spin numbers. 3 wood: Smoke Max D with a Cypher 50 regular flex. Can't get much more polar opposite than those two setups, huh?

I'm currently playing a four year old 54° 8C Callaway Jaws and and even older 58° 10PM grind Callaway Mack Daddy. I also have a never used 60° 12D Vokey SM9 with a KBS HI REV 2.0 shaft I had a free Vokey wedge fitting at Golf Galaxy last Friday which recommended (high percentage) a 54° 12D and 60° 12D. I'm not sure that I want both wedges to be 12Ds (lack of versatility?). I would probably would prefer a 60° with the 8M, but I already have a new 60°, and although they tried, GG couldn't give me full value, no receipt trade because of the upgraded KBS. I thought about a 10S for the 54°, but not excited about that. I also decided that the KBS Tour shaft in a 54° would be a good match for the KBS HI REV 2.0 60° I already have. I can't get a 54° SM9 with that particular shaft. So, I'm thinking a 54° SM10 12D with the KBS tour OR a 54° Cleveland RTX6 Zipcore 10MID with the KBS Tour shaft. Any suggestions? My parting gift from the fitting....

I'd still choose play.

Play, and it's not even close. I would rather go to a practice round and watch tournament rounds on TV anyway.
