Rtracymog reacted to SpanishHands in FlightScope Mevo Progression Test
I am already a Mevo+ Pro Package owner/user and would be delighted to do a full sweep over the range of products. I am familiar with the flightscope software as well as with the E6 version for iOS and have a perpetual Awesome Golf license.
I have a proper indoor testing environment and have experience in testing the Mevo+ also outdoors. I can test outdoors during the winter.
I would test with Titleist ProV1 regular balls (with Mevo stickers) and also with Titleist RCT (although not specifically recommended by Flightscope last time I checked, I have read they work well) and I am yet to test how they perform with the Mevo+.
I am very curious about the possibilities and accuracy of the face impact location software and also the capabilities of the Mevo.
Finally it would be very interesting to see if the new Mevo+ units present any differences with my current unit (one of the early ones).
I am an industrial/mechanical/electrical engineer and a fluid mechanics professor, and I am a nerd for the different parameters that a proper launch monitor can deliver, from the basic ones such as speeds and distances, to the different paths and swing/launch angles. I believe I can provide a detailed, unbiased, and substantial review and, above all, I know I would enjoy it thoroughly.

This is why MGS is unrivaled amongst all golf publications. Unreal opportunity. Selfishly, really want to see how it perform outdoors because my Rhapsodo can’t handle the heat when paired with my iPhone.

This very well could be the biggest test of the season. What an incredible opportunity and one that will be game changing for the testers who are selected. We are thrilled to partner with FlightScope on this opportunity and cannot wait to get the reviews started!

Rtracymog got a reaction from Josh Ross in 2023 Forum Member Test: The Edison Challenge featuring Edison 2.0 Wedges
They seemed to have toned down the V sole over the years. I had a mid grind V sole in my RTX4 56 degree and I hated that thing in the bunkers. It would just skim and I couldn't get it to dig at all. I've tried the SCOR wedges from TK in the past and I've liked the feel, but the versatility wasn't there in the 60. Would love to give these a go!

Bummed to have missed out on this one, but I’m looking forward to hearing what the testers think! Congrats!

Cannot wait to see how this one shapes up. Have the original rapsodo and for the pricepoint it was an absolute game changer for me. The testers are in for a treat.

Looking forward to this one. Would love to see how it stacks up against some of the popular ones on the market. Happy to put it up against a Trackman at the local range.

I was using the original MLM which required the phone (or tablet) to be set on the radar to help with the data capture. The facetime camera on the front would record the swing and the ball tracer. I think it helped with capturing the launch angle and the club data as well. But that club data could be skewed if your angle behind the monitor was off. Other than that it was very accurate compared to a trackman whenever I was able to get on one of those.

It was good, it did not do a great job with direction IMO, it was very contingent on the the angle behind the ball. But the other data seems very accurate and it helps with figuring out distances and trends. I got too obsessed with the video and how my swing looked to I decided to go with just the PRGR for now. I do miss the data capture though.

Can you give some updates on its accuracy and comps to others you have used? I like much of what I see on their website but, would like to have some real time opinions if you are up to it.

This is by far the most intriguing launch monitor sub $1500! I currently use a Flightscope Mevo and would love to put these head to head, the Mevo is by far the most accurate PLM in it's price bracket and possibly even sub $1k. If the MLM2 Pro can beat the mevo's accuracy than it's a solid winner, and might just get that chicken dinner 😂
I will also be doing a DIY home simulator for my new home, and don't yet have a launch monitor and this would definitely fit the bill! That being said I am willing to rent out a bay, in order to try this MLM2 Pro on a simulator for the sake of testing 👍

Well dang, I just bought one haha…
this unit is a game changer… and with the e6 or awesome golf 3rd party sims, it’s off the hook…
it just continues to impress, and it is accurate as the big boys
good luck applicants!

Sorry, but just to set expectations. We do not select members who are currently involved in an ongoing test.
As you know we have high expectations for our testers and reviews meaning doing two at the same take could lead to attention being taken away from one or another and therefore we do not risk it.
It's also why we urge members to only sign up for what they really want to test as in most cases a member will only be eligible for one per season (golf Balls, gloves, Grips excluded).
And finally we want to get ad many new ppl involved as possible!

No problem at all and fully understand. Was just thinking this may clarify to others who may have pondered similar thoughts….back to working those wedges.

Would love to try this out and use it over the winter with my golf teams! We have hitting night, but might be able to afford a small simulator set up. Would get tons of swing on it and it will be put to good use! Thanks for another awesome opportunity!

I've never been a big watch guy on the course, but my wife gave me her old apple watch and it's not as noticeable as I would have thought. I love my Garmin G8 Approach, so this would be an interesting comparison!

Welcome Stitch Golf to MyGolfSpy Forum Member Testing! I'm really excited to see how our members feel about these bags as I have one of their head covers for my putter and know how nicely made those are. I can only imagine these stand bags are top notch with good style and design.
Who want's to put these to the test!?

Rtracymog reacted to LebanonOz in 2023 MGS Forum Test: L.A.B. Putters
Good Luck to everyone that applied!
You won't believe this but ... I was at my fitter on Saturday and had my Odyssey White Hot OG 7S adjusted based on an updated SAM Labs report. While I was there he showed me the Garsen grips (I ordered a Quad Tour non-taper) and the L.A.B. DF 2.1 putter. Imagine my surprise when both Garsen grip and L.A.B. putter tests were announced the very next day. I had never tried a low torque putter previously and the stability very much intrigued me. I made a mental note to check out the category when my next putter search begins.
I moved from blade (Ping IsoForce) to mallet (current Odyssey) in my last tech leap. Based on my putting stroke, lie angle balanced and similar feeling/stable putters are the next innovation on tap. I have shot scope data from the blade vs mallet switch and will compare to the next gen that ends up in the bag. Could it be an L.A.B. putter? Might it be in the next few weeks? 😁
