  1. Does anyone have the full url to the post? This would prevent getting to the home page and then having a second request to get to the results.
  2. I can't wait to see the results. Unfortunately my purchase of 4 dozen TP5X balls a few weeks ago could end up being a bad idea. haha.
  3. For those of you with the MG 600s. When using pin seeking mode how consistent is the result when you shoot the flags multiple times from the same spot? I have played 2 rounds with mine and the yardage is more inconsistent than I would like. The range can be up to about 5 yards but typically 3 or under. About 50% of the time it will get the same number two times in a row. It would be nice if the difference was just one yard with back to back readings but it is often more. In no way am I a player good enough to worry about 3 to 5 yards but it still bothers me. Could I have received a bad unit?
  4. For me it is between last years TP5x or Snell Black. Used Srixon Q-Star Tours the last couple years but looking for something with a bit more spin around the greens without spinning too much on the driver or longer clubs.
  5. Would love to hear your impression of the TP5x vs the Snell Black. These two balls are in contention to be my gamer for the summer. On Snell's web site they recommend the black if you are playing TP5x.
  6. I made my own set a couple years ago and it definitely helped my swing speed. I made a big jump in speed and then plateaued. It was totally work the money and effort. Highly recommend one of the SSR radar units. One of the parts of the training is getting an understanding of what feels fast and what is actually fast. Early on there were swings I felt were extremely fast but the radar showed differently. Haven't been able to push thru the plateau but have been working on technical aspects of my swing that might help. Overall I think I picked up between 15 and 20 yards on my drives.
  7. I have a net in the basement and I use a ball until it cracks and then put it in my cracked ball "trophy case". Using different balls with various brands they all crack after awhile. I wish I could say it is because of my incredibly high swing speed but it is not. Most of my practice is done with an old 6 iron swinging around 80mph.
  8. Dropped my 3 wood this year because it was good off the tee but could not hit it from the fairway. Moved to a "strong" 5 16.5 degrees and it is a much more versatile club. It is much easier to hit from the fairway and only a little bit shorter off the tee.
  9. One thing that always comes up with this style of iron is the reduced spin. What has been your real world experience getting the 790s to stop on greens? Has the higher launch offset the slightly lower spin?
  10. Push carts really help make walking easier. When playing 9 holes carrying my bag is not that hard but for 18 holes they are going to be on a push cart. Saves a ton of wear and tear on the shoulders. When I was struggling with golfer's elbow I know that pickup up the bag after every shot did not help.
  11. I went with an inexpensive rangefinder from Amazon that is similar to the one that MG Golf sells. It was just over $100 with prime shipping. This model does not calculate slope and I kind of with I purchased one that did. Overall it has worked very well for me. I have never used a more expensive model so I guess I don't know what I am missing. It is easy to find the flag and get an accurate reading. There is a setting where you shoot something behind the green then go to the flag. When the yardage goes down you know you picked up the flag and have the right yardage. Sure the jolt technology would make it easier but the current process does not slow me down.
  12. Last summer tried a Ping "Sport" glove and had really good luck with it. Three guesses on what website I used to research gloves.
  13. I have been using the system for a little over a year and it has worked really well. Last summer my drives were a lot longer than the year before. I don't spend any time on launch monitors so I don't have exact numbers. Be patient with results it can take 6-8 weeks to see the additional speed on the course. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  14. Masters started today. My favorite golf tournament of the year!
  15. Thanks for the heads up. I played the 4 piece ball when it first came out and it performed very well. The cover durability was not great but for $15 a dozen it was still a great value. It would be great for MGS to test the new 3 piece ball and let us know how it performs.
  16. Cool idea! Put myself on the map this morning.
  17. In warmup this occasionally happens to me when trying to hit low punch wedges. It seems to be caused from trying to get too much shaft lean and holding off the release. Once the club starts to release better the shanks go away for me. Maybe you were holding off the release a little too much trying to hit a fade.
  18. I am not a fitter but have read a few places that wedges should be flatter than your irons. This also depends on your miss as well. In general if a club is too upright the miss will be left, and too flat the miss will be right.
  19. I have always played better when I walk. It started by not having the money to pay for a cart in my early playing days. Last summer I walked 18 holes by myself in 2 hours and 20 minutes. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  20. I would buy a golf shoe with a really thin sole, waterproof and a good golf tread pattern. I have a few pairs of the Merrell minimalistic shoes, they are very comfortable and light.
  21. I have Arccos and really like it. Having the system independent of my phone would be nice. When I played without it last summer I really missed reviewing my rounds and stats online. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  22. The contest ideals so far are great. I really like a monthly "participation" award of some sort. Put the top 20 in post count and number of likes for the month into a drawing for some sort of swag. If a new member wants to jump in and post it does not take that long to qualify for the drawing.
  23. Studque, I would not worry about your arc. The only thing that I see is the very small loop in transition. There is a Instagram teacher I follow called Potters Putting and he stresses the importance of getting rid of any re-routing. Your stroke looks better than mine.
  24. One of the best analysts of MPF numbers I have seen. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
