  1. That is a huge help. I always just assumed it would be the same into or with the wind. Thanks for the input. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  2. Let's say there is a constant 20 MPH wind one day. Downwind for example purposes you are a club longer. Into the same wind are you a club shorter? Seems to me I always come up short going into the wind but am spot on downwind clubbing up or down accordingly. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  3. Nice, a putter with one good season in it. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  4. Gapping is really good thru the entire set. If anything the shorter irons are a bit short in distance for me. But the lofts start to spread out more as the clubs get shorter. I stop at the PW which is 44* but their gap wedge is at 50*. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  5. It would be nice if they sold golf clubs like cars. It would never work but it would be nice to go to the Mizuno dealer, listen to their pitch, hit a few then go next door to the Srixon dealer for the same. At least that way everyone is biased. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  6. I really like my Cobra single length 3H but it's only about 5 yards longer than the HB 4. Usually a non issue but there's a hole I need about 5 yards more out of the Cobra and I just can't get it. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  7. Thanks for the questions. 1. I probably wouldn't buy used u less that was my only option. I'd buy new because I'd opt for a different shaft than standard. If I did I'd be right about where ole gray is. 2. I think I'd prefer the PW and maybe even the 9 irons to be a cavity back or even blade just to get a bit more feel on them. 3. Would I buy a 3 if they had it? Yes, in a heartbeat. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  8. Thanks for being a gracious winner and taking the time to do a write up on the clubs you got. Well done. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  9. I had Arccos on my single lengths and they were installed in the grips. I wasn't a fan of the system so went to have them regripped and the sensor sits on an exposed battery. Frankly I don't see how you can just pop them out but I didn't try it. I hope that's the case. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  10. In a nutshell they use hollow body heads for long irons. Cavity back for mid irons and blades for wedges. They move the CG around and use flighted shafts to help with gapping. I found gapping excellent up until the 5 and 6 which comes down to my lack of swing speed. Maybe graphite would have been a better fit for me, I don't know. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  11. I played the F8 One Lengths up until my Launcher HB testing. I really liked them, handicap dipped about a stroke with them. I loved 7-lob wedge and the 3 and 4 hybrids but struggled with the 5 and 6 irons. I really think the issue was lack of swing speed for the 5 and 6. Other thing I saw was when the swing goes it goes for every club. I also wasn't a big fan of Cobras execution in that they had different offsets and lie angles and that got in my head a little. Also meant I had to move the ball around in my stance a bit for different clubs. Full swing wedges were darts but I sacrificed short chips for that. Now the F8 are different then the Tour model but that was my experience with single length. I made the mistake of hitting an Edel single length iron and it blew the Cobras away. No need for a different bag either. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  12. Thanks, a part of me would rather suck one back than have a tap in. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  13. This might be a dumb question but I'll ask anyway. Why do you want lower flight with wedges? I use all wedges for full swings and change ball position for distance control. Using CBX wedges I expect high shots and if I club down and go easy I have bigger misses. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  14. Agreed, whoever the hell made the decision to sign those 2 struck gold. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  15. Amen Chisag! I'm rocking the Cleveland Launcher HB irons and playing the best golf of my life and I'm guessing a lot of other people would to. But like I said in the Launcher review thread, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink it. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  16. You're in charge of Cobra Golf and you can only resign one, Rickie Fowler or Bryson DeChambeau. Which one do you resign and why? I'm gonna say Bryson. I know everyone likes Rickie but Bryson can be a game changer in regards to single length irons and the dude is on fire. I think he has already more wins than Fowler and history says he could reach the same level as Tiger or Phil based on winning the NCAA and US amateur. Thoughts? Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  17. Thanks, exactly the advice I was looking for. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  18. I've been gaming the Cleveland CBX wedges since late June with 95 gram shafts with mixed results. Very erratic in terms of dispersion. To help with a gap in my bag I purchased a 58* CBX with a stock 115 gram DG wedge shaft and the results have been so much better. I reshafted my 50 and 54 with the heavier shaft and again great results. My question is where in the bag should I stop with wedge shafts? PW, 9 iron? Thanks! Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  19. I looked it up. Kicks in 2020. Only count 8 best rounds instead of best 10 out of 20. Adjusts daily and course conditions are factored in. What that means is if the are 30 mph winds one day and course scores are higher they take that into account. They say it will be tougher on sandbaggers but I'm sure those losers will find a way. 20. I think the formula changes January 1st so lower handicaps should be the norm. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  21. Solid stage 1. Looking forward to stage two and seeing if you keep the jerky in the smoker. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  22. Didn't see that coming but congrats to Fourteen. Never even heard of them but will have to check them out now. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  23. I played the Z Star the last couple of rounds and they seem more accurate than the lower compression balls I usually play. Hitting more greens and fairways, my misses aren't as pronounced and a lot more shots going right at the flag. Not sure if it's the ball or I've been dialed in but I'm sticking with it for awhile. 24. Man I was pulling for them but looked like they just ran out of gas in OT. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  25. Hey, it was a tough first game of the year against a higher ranked team on the road. I went to University of Kansas so if anyone needs to wait for basketball season it is me. Michigan will be fine over the course of the season I'm sure. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
