  1. Just updated my profile per the email request...

  2. It may turn out to be the greatest putter of all time, but I still want to go get some PVC glue and plug that darn hole!
  3. As for what I'd like, it'd have to be the Diablo Forged Irons: https://www.golfcircuit.com/Callaway-Diablo-Forged-Irons/__3175.html
  4. Its places like this that need to be shut down. Yeah, I saw one of the websites is named "Blockbuster DVD Store"!
  5. Thanks guys, that's exactly what I figured as well.
  6. I've stumbled upon a website: IGolfYoo , and before I buy anything I wanted to make sure if some of you guys had heard of them, and if they were a legit operation. There prices are really lower than I'd expect. I've checked with the BBB for both website and brick and mortar business and there are no complaints at the moment. You guys heard anything?
  7. I'd figure it'd be one hell of a heavenly shot.
  8. I laugh at these guys too. In the end they are only hurting themselves by "altering" the truth. To me, its not how far you hit it, its how good of a ball striker you are on a consistent basis.
  9. Me too. My next set I'll go all in with lessons prior to fitting. As long as the economy picks up by then....
  10. Really good prices. I will make sure to frequent them when I'm in need of new equipment.
  11. I'm just not in to all of this "on the fly" adjustments I guess. This would be one more thing for a buddy of mine to pull out his "adjustment tool" in the middle of the round to "fix" his wedge. He already does it with his driver, now this would be another thing for me to sit there and drink more beer while he worked on his club. In fact, maybe that's his tactic...get me buzzed and I play worse. I see it now!
  12. I couldn't agree more! If it gets slick, just hit it with some fine sandpaper, and BAM...ready to go again.
  13. Wow, looks like a great course. I'm sure you enjoy it. Would have to be put on a list of must play while in the area around St. Andrews.
  14. This just gets better and better. Last year the ULTIMATE contest, and now the opening of the forums with this HUGE contest. Wow. The contests are one thing, but the fact that there is useful information and active users it outstanding. Hopefully this being the honeymoon period, it will last a LONG time. Great job once again!
  15. Wow, the one on the upper left is ok, but the other 3 that have the shaft connecting in back I really don't like the look. I won't be trying one, but if it make the ball roll like you want it...more power to ya!
  16. Thanks Moecat, glad to be here. I hope the excitement continues throughout the existence of the forum. Today has been GREAT!
  17. I certainly want to go to several classes, for sure. I also have a few older clubs laying around I can "practice" with, so that's not a problem. As for NEW items (club heads, etc), I've looked at GolfSmith and GolfWorks, but are there any other OEMs out there to look at?
  18. Guys, I'm thinking about getting into clubmaking. From assembling clubs, regripping, reshafting, adjusting lie and loft. The works. I really enjoy making things by hand and I take pride in doing it. What clubmaking specific tools should be on my short list to get up and running quickly? Also, where do you get your club heads? I've looked at GolfWorks and think its a good place to start, but do you have any others? All help is appreciated.
  19. I enjoy Magnolia Grove in Mobile, AL. Its part of the RTJ Golf Trail. The LPGA plays the Bell Micro Classic there every year, and its a great value for locals and snowbirds alike
  20. I too think the first few tournaments will be tough. Questions, heckling, the like. If/when he comes back it should be 2 or 3 tournaments before a major to let all of the heckling die down. I don't think initially he will do well, but after a month or two back on tour he should be back to his old self.
  21. I can't say I've made less purchases, but I'm more value aware. My X-22s I got with my airline points after I figured out they were what I wanted. So I saved money there. My 09 Burner, I bought new off of Ebay last month for $109, and its worth every penny. And as much as I like the Callaway iX Tour golfballs, I've switched to the less expensive Diablo ball. So yea, the economy has something to do with it, but if you want to play, you gotta do what you gotta do to pay those green fees!
  22. I think that increasing the number of clubs only complicates the game for amateurs. By allowing fewer clubs this would make people think about what clubs to put in their bags. Also, in my opinion, it would make users concentrate on a limited number of clubs to work with. Everyone should be able to use a PW to sub for a LW. It makes the person a better player.
  23. has approval for his account...Woohoo!
