Backpacking Thailand for a month and the other night we were walking around and saw a mini golf course so went in for a round and a pop. Wish I my phone to had take a picture of it, but I just grabbed on standing in the barrel. Took a look at it after a few holes and noticed it had "R. K. Mizuno 511" stamped on the bottom. Had a little geek out moment but my friends didn't understand. Felt really good. Can't find any pictures on line so not sure if it's just that old or a lower line of putter that wasn't worth anything brand new. Haven't updated in a while. Down a couple pounds than my original goal, but still need to work on the tum tum. Mom called me up a couple days ago and said we're going out Wednesday morning! Had a great time and somehow I shot 83. Thought I did well going out 44 and felt I was lousy coming in with my old slice starting to show its ugly head with the longer sticks a few times but still managed a 39. Had a little cardiac moment this morning when I misread the time and thought I slept through my alarm. Jumped out of bed and got dressed. Wow that's nuts. The gentleman I mentioned before only cuts it once a week unless we've received significant precipitation, then it'll get done twice. I enjoy taking time to make my yard look clean and presentable, but that's a little far. To each their own I guess lol! I usually spend 3 or 4 hours over an entire week on the yard. I don't go as hard with my lawn as some in my neighbourhood. There's one guy around the corner who uses a power mower then goes over in both directions with a reel mower. Has the picture perfect checker board pattern. Two years and still working on getting all the weeds out. Also guy before me didn't cut the stumps of some trees he took out right to the ground, so gonna dig around and remove enough of the stump that it is fully cover by dirt so no one is tripping over it. Hole 4 or 5, overshot the green. Tight lie, downhill all the way with six feet of rough. Took out the 56 and made a very shallow sweeping chip. I haven't bought enough equipment to fill the list, but I'll list things I'm happy about and others I kick myself for getting. Top 1. RAZR fit driver - this thing is stoopid long 2. Odyssey white ice #1 - thing felt great. Sold it to my bro and think that I shouldn't have every day. 3. Cobra Utility aka my Fairway Finder 4. Cleveland RTX 2.0 wedges - they are killer 5. Any Nike shirt/pants. They are amazing. Worst 1. Odyssey Toe-Up #1 - performs well, but I acquired it after being at MGS for a while, so I should've just gotten properly fit, and I'd probably have raved about a putter that helped lower my score in best purchases above. 2. 716 AP2 - see above 3. Vokey SM6 56 - bought it to compare the "new COG technology" with the RTX. It didn't end well for Voke. 4. Some cheaply made golf shoes I got for my first time out. Lace snapped middle of the second round. 5. Oakley golf lenses - never had an issue with losing the ball in the air, but for some reason I bought them.
